Linden is at least really good with Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle, since she triggers his ability, can be brought back with his ability, and she's a reasonably powerful creature to keep in play.
I saw on the ruling for Blaze Commando that it only triggers once even if the spell damages multiple things. Does Syr Carah, the Bold work the same way? She is worded slightly differently, so I was wondering if the distinction matters in the same way that "becomes blocked" and "becomes blocked by a creature" mean different things, such as with Drelnoch versus Infiltration Lens.
So Earthquake for 1R to deal 1 damage to four players in a typical EDH game, you get to exile top four cards of your library? The knight's ability did not say it has to be an opponent.
I'm not sure about that. Check out the rulings for Blaze Commando. Mana Clash, on the other hand, might work...
Weird. Does anyone actually play this in commander? I thought it looked good when it came out, but it seems like it's best in monocolor non-ramp decks, and then are you really going to spend a virtual 3 mana on this?
I’m thinking of doing basically the same thing to my Kozilek, the Great Distortion deck, which was basically a janky artifact deck. I’m restricting myself to solely colorless permanents but I’m allowing for colored spells, specifically topdeck tutors, to smooth things out. Congregation at Dawn is pretty sweet in with Golos’s activates ability in a deck with multiple Eldrazi titans
I'm going to try not to have more than 5 lands that make colored mana (plus I'll have some artifacts) so I figure I can only play cards that have one colored symbol at most. If you're thinking about Congregation at Dawn, what's your manabase going to look like?
This card is definitely good, but I think in limited it's usually worse than Phyrexian Rager. Yes, it's obviously better with Goblin Smuggler, but without that, you'll rarely get in an attack without losing him.
My plan is to basically convert my Karn, Silver Golem deck over to Golos. I don't use Karn to blow up people's lands with Mycosynth Lattice, so it's really just a fun artifact deck, but Karn himself isn't actually that useful most of the time.
I can basically leave my 40 utility land manabase intact and just add one Cascading Cataracts to activate Golos. (It's even indestructible!) So Golos can either search up the cataracts, or any of my 39 other utility lands like Maze of Ith, Inventors' Fair, Blast Zone, or the amazing new Field of the Dead! The new color identity also allows me to add in some cards that I can't play with Karn even though they don't require colored mana, such as Spellskite and Bojuka Bog.
I can also play a few other colored spells that seem fun and add in a few more colored sources. Adding a blue splash seems like the most obvious, for stuff like Sai, Master Thopterist and The Antiquities War.
So yeah, you could just make 5C goodstuff, but I'm pretty excited about a colorless utility land commander.
I know, we're all spoiled by uncommon Dragon Mage and Loaming Shaman, but this would be way too powerful in limited if it weren't a rare. It was played in standard last time, and this is a core set, so you have to expect some cheap rares to be reprinted! I'm not super excited about this, but this is still a worthwhile card to put into standard.

"Wait, that's not totally in the color pie--but okay, I guess that's fine" is exactly the right reaction to a Planar Chaos card.

We just got Tolsimir, Friend to Wolves, which, while not a wolf, is basically a wolf lord. Hopefully they print more wolves for him at least.
