Yes it would. When you end the turn with sundial you skip all steps after the one you currently are in and end the current step. This includes the end step. However, make sure the triggers you want to avoid don't happen on an opponent's turn, because I tried a deck like this and was careless with cards I picked and ended up spending about 10 bucks on stuff that didn't even synergize with it.
Since I've used this forum, this thread has popped up every set. It's boring, and downright baseless. Until modern masters it was accompanied by the "goyf goyf?" "Goyf reprint inc" "pliss goyf nao? It only makes sense" threads.
As of what we know now, the Mythos and legendary things a the only speculations that have any base, and the legendary theme is iffy at best. Just wait and see guys, I know it's fun to wish and hope for stuff, but posting it on here is a different story and it clogs sub forums.
Galaxy -- yes, this is unacceptably strong. Even if you cut it down to 1 mana, it would still be well above any current 2cc mana producer. No, legendary doesn't balance it.
If he makes it give one mana, it's an over costed mana cylix. Unless you just mean giving one mana minus an activation cost. In that case I think it'd be fine. If it were legendary it'd be balanced enough for play, but possibly underpowered. If they could say you could only use 2 in a deck, I think it'd be okay without legendary adding one for free.
Edit: sorry for the ramblies, I had my wisdom teeth out a while ago and I'm a bit out of it.
Honestly I would enjoy an obviously "smarter" viashino than they are normally depicted. The shamans strike me as a more primarily attuned magic than an intelligent variety.
Seeing one with a spell book would be awesome.
Also, above. You think if they just get to draw a card that it would be okay?
I missed the "inb4" period of posting, but inb4 more people can't handle their tiny babby mana bases. It's like mono color was a thing one time? Master race basic land users unite!
Ral wouldn't bug me so much if i werent for his + ability. That is not a red/blue ability they took half of tamiyos first and fused wit with essentially the old Garruks first...
I'm not sure yet if Andra even really cared at all about Bartek though. The mention at the end of how sweet he is seemed sarcastic to me. And after all, she had somebody mug the poor guy. I'm not a huge fan of the dimir, they're too cruel for my tastes.
Yeah, I understand your point, but she still has her own little niche of "I study moons and moon accessories." (hank hill... cough) thing going for her. Being that he's a clean slate planeswalker, his awe at what is going on is what I think I enjoy more.
I actually kinda like Domri. It's nice to see a planeswalker that isn't all "Serious business" all the time. Especially with the heaviness of block stories of late.
I highly doubt WotC would include Ral as a champ mainly because they can make more money by marketing him PLUS another champion. Also izzet fanboyism... y u always present. Feeding them more of this "you're more important and we love you" crap would be icing on their cake.
I doubt that in the story the guildless would be taken seriously enough to warrant entrance into the maze competition, because the whole point of the gateless movement is to undermine the oppression they're facing.
Giving them any type of recognition would seriously hurt whatever type of control the guilds hope to gain or keep from excluding the guildless from the event.
That being said, I SERIOUSLY hope that the gateless at least get some sort of legendary creature or serious flavor mention in dragon's maze. It'd be pretty weak to snub them when through storyline and even card references, I'm looking at you, Urbis Protector, that the compassion for the gateless and guildless in general is spreading like wildfire.
Not to mention that Gisa and Geralf, the two who proved a HUGE impact on the story didn't even get cards. [sarcasm] But yeah, totally gonna be mythic for no reason [/sarcasm]
I really enjoyed this story. It pretty much details why I like simic more than some of the other guilds. When the simics go crazy, the result is a happy go lucky, arguably genius ooze person that can survive massive explosions. When the rakdos go crazy, they pretty much turn into a bunch of cannibalistic nincompoops who are hellbent (haha) on just making things bad for everyone.
