You could quit and and stop bothering others by whining like a little boy.

Glad to see that I'm in the company of such an upstanding individual who would just theow out the "just quit" line faster than this generation's educational distributers.

Maybe you didn't understand that I actually want this game to thrive, but not at the expense of becoming Yu-Gi-Oh! 2.0, In which this game will lose all real individuality, and will only be looked at as a "It prints money", as well as something that will just fall to the wayside as that one long-term fad we all had 30 to 45 years ago, but we can just barely remember what it was. (But at least it cant be called xenophobic, and that's at least one positive to come out of it all Smile )

All the spoilers I can't read until I can get money together to buy episodes 2-5. WHY MUST I BE ON A BUDGET when this is here as well as Farcry 3, and Tomb Raider is just around the corner?!? TT.TT

Well we can now think about what Microsoft and Nintendo are going to do in light of the recent patent that Sony pushed through for game lock-outs. That's always a fun topic I hear.

If anything I think It'll do more harm than help, but considering that this isn't the 1st time that this has come up for Sony (allegedily bailed out of this idea with the PS3), I think we may be safe to consider the platforms still on equal~ish ground.

MaRo loves this game too much to let the profit margin be his driving decision.

    Quote from KolbaneX
I know this, but MaRo has been there so long that they DO value his input very highly in areas that he doesn't necessarily have his foot in.

Based on what? the fact he likes poison? These past years under his lead have cflearly shown that he is well on his way to not understanding the games he works on.

And if it isn't him it's Aaron. They opened this can of worms when they gave the go-ahead for degenerate cards like Stoneforge Mystic and Jace, then cover their ***** by watering down what could have been quality sets all in the name of this "New Regieme joke" that seems to think that any person who plays this game is either too stupid to play deck strategies that don't revolve around turning dudes sideways, OR are just to inept to learn to play the game. I'm not elitist to the fact that I don't have that mentality of "oh dear somebody else is in my sandbox and I'm not gonna let them play with my toys." I understand that Diversity in this game is a good thing.

But clearly MaRo thinks to a completely different line of thinking to the point where numerous cards have been denied legitamite reprints for being "too strong in standard" HOW IS THE SIGNETS TOO GOOD FOR STANDARD?!? (Sources all over Mothership's site if you look enough)

Then theres the Mythic Rarity, which might as well be called "because Yu-Gi-Oh! does it and it brings in money, we'll do it to." Don't get me wrong, I know its about the bottom line, but going Hideo Kojima on your fanbase isn't the way to do it.

And if it turns out that he truely has no say in all of this and its people above him making all these decisions, then I believe that the appropriate reaction to all of this would just to pity the existance of the card game community of MTG as we KNEW it and realize that despite all our protests we are just gonna get sucked in to this thing that may be best summarized as Third Impact all over.

Otherwise I'm still going with my analagy that he has become the equivalent to Dark Water infecting Sinbad's Ship.

I can't believe anyone would actually think of Gideon 2.0 as good. I cannot think of a single circumstance in which he is actually effective.

His +1? Either your opponent has board presence and they will beat your face in anyways (ignoring him), your opponent won't have a huge board presence and will just beat him back down, or in the worst-case scenario when the "turn-dudes-sideways" option doesn't work, then just throw some disruption in his face.

His +/- 0 seems alright enough, even if it still does put him in the placement that he has to pray that he won't be stomped on before he gets the chance to use it.

I want to know who in R&D was in super-happy-christmas-land when they pitched his final, and who actually thought it was a good idea. There is literally no chance you are going to be able to get this ability off. And in the remote chance you actually do get it off I will find it quite amusing to find out how many times you actually can close the game afterwards.

Point is, he looks to be nothing more than a poorly designed new-regieme aggro deterrent, and a poor one at best.

Clan Defiance however looks to be the rare of this set to look at. While it is a multicolered 2-base fireball, It's card advantage in a way we havent seen in a while, making it quite useful.

Hands of Binding goes further into my belief that all Cipher decks will start their creatures with X4 Invisible Stalkers.

Consuming Abberation seems like it should have existed back in the Ravnica / Timespiral format to exist as a phenominal finisher for control. But since we now live in an era that houses one of the saddest excuses for control archetypes, I guess we'll have to see if this thing has constructed value or not, depending on how watered down the rest of the set is.

So after remaking my character I have come to this conclusion:
Redguards bring to dual sword combat what High Elves bring to Spell-slinging. I'm Level 23 with a 100 Smithing skill (hunting for daedric hearts and ebony now), and haven't even touched the Main quest with the exception of the default 1st dragon fight outside of Whiterun.

Elemental Fury shout has to be one of the most ridiculous things I have in my arsenal by jack-hammering all of my dual-wield attacks significantly. As an experiment I charged a dragon head-on and activated it. Within 5 seconds the dragon was dead.

On a different note, does anyone other than me look at the Dwarven Armor, and get immediately reminded of the Ordinator's armor for TES 3?

To everyone who threw out the "wait until worlds" defense:

How about now? Is it okay if we say that we were right? Even a little? Or do we need to wait until (insert X event, or X number of events occur) before we can say it?

If so, then we can pretty much kiss the idea of getting Bitterblossom back. It's no secret that most of the people involved with deciding the banlist deeply dislike the card, and if PF does get thrown under the hammer, there's even less inclination for them to change their minds.

Its just so sad that Infallible, Slipknot and I are sitting here thinking how right we were about this result.

Skyward Sword may even win game of the year this year, so Nintendo can still put out top games.

Oh god I spit up a little of my drink when I read this. There is no way that skyward sword will make GOTY for this year. Nintendo will probably never gain that right back again, unless Xbox 360 and PS3's game roster dries up for a year.

If they even were attempting to achieve it this year, then they picked a terrible year for it. It has Batman :AC (havn't played, heard it was good), Battlefield 3 (unlikely though in light of sales numbers), Modern Warfare 3 (god I hope not), and Skyrim (Woot).

Nintendo has a negative rep because they have stuck with what they are good at but sadly times have changed and a big proportion of market is a bunch of barely pubescent kids that are obsessed with graphics and violence.
It's kind of like how Disney used to make amazing animated films and nowadays make rubbish like wizards of waverley place and hannah montanna ....
Yes Nintendo lose money by sticking to their integrity but that doesn't make them a failure, they will always have a core of loyal fans (nevermind the fact Wii is still the best console for RPG's if you don't live in USA , Xenoblade Chronicles, Pandoras Tower and Last Story are all amazing).

and where does that get them at the end of the day? How do you justify sales when there is a giant lack of interest? Nintendo's "Integrity" also has them borderline extorting the 3rd party developers, and constantly re - releasing the same games over and over again like we all have amnesia and forgot who Link and Mario were. Just because something is good for the Japanese community, doesn't mean that it's good for the rest of the gaming community everywhere else. Everyone knows that the states is an extremely important cornerstone for game sales, and if it doesn't sell here, then wee know there's only going to be a matter of time until all we hear about for the Wii U and 3DS is that the only thing being released is Japan exclusive visual novels which is a sign that the platform is dead.

Dont get me wrong, I'm all for the Character - Driven Story idea, but it just seemed like FFXIII was a giant Cop - out for Square Enix, like it was too hard for them to deal with technology above the capabilities of a PS2.

The frequent level capping I can deal with. The lack of towns, and making some piss - poor reason putting the characters predicaments as the excuse? Not as much, but I could try. Having one of the weakest story lines which could best be summarized by drawing a line on a piece of paper and writing under it "plot"? No. No amount of concussive blows to my cranium would make me think otherwise.

I feel so stupid that I was excited for the game as much as I was OVER 4 MONTHS prior, counting down the days, then when it was here - I bought the game and the collector's edition guide.

FFXIII was a bigger disappointment for me than any other game I've ever wanted that turned out to be crap.

I'm level 30 and the only shout I have at rank 2 even is pushback.

The reason why you guys don't have it at max is probably because you're avoiding the main quest line. Unrelenting Force is completed very early on.

So on a different note: I restarted my character due to the absurdly pathetically easyness that was running around with expert and master destruction spells and having armor that made them free to cast. Let's see my luck with a Redguard (Who I've also never played as before in TES 3 & 4)

I believe you have triggered what the Prima guide titles "Worldly Interactions and Encounters". Basically, its full of little things you you may do having rewards / consequences later, as well as other randomly scripted event.

Does anyone else absolutely love Blackreach? I just got there and spent an hour wandering around just for fun.

As nice as the topside of the world looks when the aurora is glowing and you're standing on top of a mountain, the surreal look of the giant glowing mushrooms in a gigantic underground cave just blew me away. I'm probably going to immediately do the "find 30 crimson nirnroots" just so I can spend more time down there.

Lol at so many spoiler responses. What is a person who wants no spoilers to do?

I seriously thought I was underwater at 1st. I have to say that it is one of the more impressive areas that I've come across in the game.

Indeed, my old gear had +300% regen rate, which was the perfect rate: it allowed you to keep an enemy staggered indefinitely, because you regenerated enough magicka to cast another dual firebolt before they could recover. Once again, in a world where most scary enemies kill you in three or four hits max, impact has always been the only thing keeping me alive. I don't know how you've been surviving without it all this time. What... what..? what.

No, I meant I had it, but it just didn't occur to me to mention it.

Another thing that I forgot to mention is that joining the companion's guild and getting their...."gift", may also be one of the best things you can do as a mage. You may consider this selling out as a pure mage, but I'd like to think of it as insurance if things get too hairy.

That, and it was also how I completed the Dark Brotherhood with this character.
