Why are you asking that? Is that not the standard height for an adult human (I am asking that in complete seriousness, not sarcasm, as I do not know the normal overall height for an adult human in comparison to the size of their head)?
Because anyone who's studied drawing or at least can see something looks strange can remember:
An average person, is generally 7-and-a-half heads tall (including the head).
Seems like from what I've gathered so far that wearing skin is not unheard of for New Phyrexians, however there really isn't any evidence to show that it is standard common practice, amongst unaligned Phyrexians as well as for the factions.
And although this particular instance occurred near Oxidda Ridge, and the creature is described as having: "An amber glow emanated from deep in its rib cage...", I do have to agree with Mullerornis that it does seem weird for it to be associated with Red/Urabask.
I still have gathered enough information to help me out though. Thanks to everyone who helped out.
Whilst reading that excerpt, I was just waiting for Venser to mutter, "She's not a zombie..." Joking aside, that wasn't too bad. How does this book compare to Teeth of Akoum and Purifying Fire? (I did not enjoy Teeth very much, Fire wasn't too bad though.)
Getting back on topic, from reading that it seems like the Phyrexian at this point in time was still unaligned with any faction, and it also seems that those events took place shortly after the 'walkers arrival upon the plane. Would it be safe to say that the Phyrexian was an infected colorless artifact creature?
Was that from The Quest for Karn? What was the motivation for wearing her skin; was it worn as a disguise, or for some other tactical purpose like inspiring fear and terror, or merely to just show further insult to the Mirrans by making a mockery by wearing their flesh.
Hi there, I'm working on a project, and I really couldn't decide by myself, so I'm seeking advice from the community.
What I'd like to know is which of the 5 factions of New Phyrexia (if any) would wear flesh skin like a suit over their metal bodies?
I originally thought of Elesh Norn and Machine Orthodoxy, and the Flesh Singularity seems to support this. But I wondered if any of the other factions would engage in this kind of behavior. Would Vorinclex and his predators wear the flesh skins of victims as a kind of trophy or something?
Okay, I've been following the thread so I have a general understanding of the initial reaction to Avacyn being previewed, but I thought a nice tidy new poll might summarize it nicer.
So, this poll is whether or not after having heard of the Avacyn preview and all the excitement that goes along with it, you found yourself either Disappointed or Pleased. Don't try to speculate too much on if it's going to good or the monetary worth; I'm curious to see if it met your expectations as the supposed/presumed face card of the set.
And please try not to keep the comments to Elesh vs Avacyn. Shouldn't there be a separate thread for that kind of discussion?
It's cool and all, but I'm just not feeling it. My perception on Sorin has changed though, now if we could only get someone to rewrite In the Teeth of Akoum.
I wonder if Old Griz is going to mimic or reflect her ability in any way.
Like the angels, do not care for that demon at all. If it's Igor, and it appears so, he fulfills my opinion of hit or miss on art, with a solid miss here.
I for one wouldn't mind seeing some new ones. I enjoyed the Leyline cycle in M11. Would Door to Nothingness count, I could see it getting some reprint, especially if we're moving into a more multicolor standard.
I can see Red maybe being something like, if you dealt 20 or more damage you win the game, of course if you dealt that much damage you would normally win the game...
Anyone else think he might be a ho-hum 'walker, still good, but not great, that they'll print as a promo card in a Trade Paperback or something? I hope he has clever artwork.
Hasn't this been sufficiently discussed/debated already in another thread?
Eh, as cool as an angel 'walker would be, I'm leaning more towards her being some amazingly brutal card. Something like an Iona, Shield of Emeria, but not as costly, well, that was a bad example. The template so far is Akroma, Angel of Wrath, but Avacyn should be more "boss" than her.

Oh well, I'm still on board. I won't mind if her new PW card turns out good or bad.
