I see Wizards hasn't let up when it comes to giving powerful ETB triggers to creatures nowadays. Considering we know what Huntmaster does now, I don't think that card is mythic at all. It's powerful, but it's more of an efficient creature than being big and splashy like mythics should be.
Well, they've got away from "Mythics won't just be really good utility creatures" when they made Lotus Cobra. Considering some of the sort of janky mythics we've seen so far this set, I think this is a card genuinely worth getting excited over - it's a great utility card that is flavorful to both of it's colors and works (sort of) in a currently relevant tribe.
How many non-Legendary Mythics are we going to get? Aren't they supposed to be borderline game breaking cards? I feel like the only mythic that passes that "truly epic" gut test designers were talking about are Sorin (if you can't make a planeswalker epic you should be fired) and the Reaver. Maybe the Lihc.
Maybe I'm just grumpy. Hopefully we see some truly crazy stuff next week.
My favorite card is Serra Ascendant. It's so limited and restrictive in the decks you play it, but getting it online just excites my inner timmy so much.
