Both decks look really fun but they're probably not worth the retail price. Not to mention a lot of the better cards are rotating out very soon. The other problem is with event decks in general, they come out too late. I might have cared to pick them up if I didn't have all the cards already to make them, which I got from pre-releases and drafts.
What would you guys choose here? I'm a pretty big noob to drafting and this is a tough decsion. On one hand you get a three power and a 2/2 first striker.On the other hand you get early pressure with a flier and exalted.
It's depends on your decktype but in exalted deck, attended knight might be a little more better because having an exalted first striker can, more often then not, stay alive longer then an exalted flier and can plow through deathtouch creatures like vampire nighthawk. That said, you can't go wrong either way if it's p1p1.
I just want to chime in on the Talrand, Invocation, Murder, and Geyser pick. First off, Talrand is a very innocuous and versatile bomb. If not immediately dealt with he can win the game with the use of combat tricks/spot removal cards that doubles as a "flashed" 2/2 drake every time. That said, Invocation isn't strictly better in a p1p1 scenario since opportunities to draft bombs isn't as common as removal.
Anyone know where I can pre-order this? I've always had trouble acquiring From the vault in the past since everyone raises their prices the moment it's released.
While 10 PW would be awesome (hell, I would kill for 5 again) I don't think it's likely considering how many planeswalkers have been printed in the last few years.
You're joking, right? I'm starting to get physically ill whenever I see Lilliana of the Veil's art - Argyle sucks that much. I can't thank Wizards enough for giving the new Liliana to someone else to illustrate!
The only bad thing about Argyle's Lili is that he made her skin kind of shiny. His other works are great.
That said, I really hate this art. Strangely small sized head and long skinny monkey arms is what I hate I about it. The way the hair is portrayed seems weird because they look like bat wings and it doesn't help that it's coming from her weird sized head. I do like the dark powerful vibe I get from it though.

This guy seems pretty nice and his effect kind of feel like Overrun unless it doesn't do what I think it does.
