Ive just had too many times where tidehollow sculler just sits there cant attack or block bc i dont want them to get their stuff back.
Most of the time im not caring about creatures or that other stuff.
The matchup i can think of off the top of my head where ill miss sculler more is affinity
Its possible this is just wrong, but i want to test him out.
Plus you can get some added value from him auto exiling whatever it is then bringing him back with no repurcussions later on.
As far as liliana goes...im definitely not running her for her front half. It is a horrible rate and honestly has no place in this deck.
Im only running her because she is a good, hard to deal with threat against control decks that i can chord or company into. I dont want her in my deck in any other matchup really.
It seems like people are dumbing down their deck to fit her(running more seers/cutting more anafenza;melira)
If youre running more sac outlets i would rather try to find or assemble my combo other than trying to be fancy with liliana.

I had 2 lilianas in the main, but i found myself not wanting to draw, but only finding her off a search. She is only good in control or combo matchups and i never want to see her vs affinity, mirror, crap like that.
So i moved 1 to the SB and out linvala back in the maindeck.
As for the main...the voices can come or go, dont really care. They could be a second spellskite and third bob again or maybe a pridemage.
As for the SB...ive been thinking of going down to one decay, its been pretty meh lately. Could be the second spellskite there instead
The fact that you are always boarding out wall of roots should tell you its not good...should be a third noble hierarch
I have 3/3 split allready of hierarch/birds, should it just be a 4th hierarch? Also, it has some uses, it's just not as good as some of my sideboard cards in some MUs.
I'm not sure about Stony Silence, it just feels like if it's not in your opening hand it's probably too late when you draw it. I was thinking of trying Phyrexian Revoker, fetchable hate card that is also good against other decks.

The reason i dont like voice is because he doesnt do anything to warrant a response. He can just sit there and be a 2/2 that does nothing. Most decks dont give a crap about playing on their own turn.
Confidant will actually do something for you. He is good in more matchups than voice is and is better than voice in most of those scrnarios as well.
To each their own, but voice is just a bad bear to me right now and until control gets out of control popular, voice will keep my binder value high.
Ive never had anyone try to kill my sac outlet as opposed to my anafenza/melira while conboing off...never.
Granted we run less sac outlets than anything else, but we have so many ways to get whatever we lost back into play somehow. (This is where all the spellskites come in handy too)
When i first started out i had a varolz and he was able to be saved, but noone was ever going after him. Then him be 3cmc and the scavenge ability being less than desired, he got the axe.
The only positive that matters(to me) is the 1 vs 2 power and i think that the scry is worth way more in long grindy games than the protection. In long grindy games you dont want to be sacing birds to get in 2 damage because your birds with gavony is a major wincon at that point.
It all boils down to personal preference really(just like running bobs instead of voices :P)
Ive actually been pretty happy with only 2 seers as my sac outlets. More often than not it will sit on the field and they kill other things which gives you free scrys which is invaluable in my book. Having a 2/2 on the board these days is just about as good as a 1/1 that fixes your draw step. That 2/2 doesnt get to attack much unless the opponent has nothing.
In a world of lightning bolts, relying heavily on mana dorks to get you to 4 on or before turn 4 seems risky.
I would definitely go back up to 22 lands.
Id cut pontiff for a 22nd land and cut a voice for a 2nd spellskite
Oddly enough i do like the idea of stonecloaker, but im not sure where it would slot in.

Cage didnt bother me because gavony township is an amazing card.
When they play a turn 1 cage and you can start activating gavony on turn 3 and on, its pretty solid.
I played against an abzan player and he boarded out all of his lingering souls for 3 cages and gavony just mopped him up bc he had no chump blockers ever.
Ive played against cage many times.
I beat a guy in top4 of a pptq and he had cage on turn 1 games 2 and 3. I boarded out all but 1 chord and 2 company and actually beat him down with birds and gavony bc he kept meh hands soley on the fact he had cage(as most people will)
Most of my sideboard plans involve boarding out at least a chord and company each matchup unless its a deck that would definitely not be playing it.
If i win game 1, im not sideboarding for it until i see it. Diluting your sideboard with 4 abrupt decays(especially with the rise of grixis) is horrible.
I have played against twin and delver alot and electrolyze has never bothered me.
Most of the time you can bolster onto confidant before they find their one of electrolyze.
I wouldnt be too concerned about a card that isnt more than a 2 of in the decks its played in.

Well timed fulminator mages is all you need.
