Game 1 i killed him on turn 3 or 4
Game 2 he just ran me over
Game 3 he got out a quick start backed up with a rest in peace.
So i just played a slow defensive game to where i could survive the longest and decide if i need to kill his virtue or rest in peace with pridemage. On what was probably my last turn to survive i drew a viscera seer. He had one card in hand. I had finks, anafenza and spellskite so i popped the RIP and lifed him out.
Round 2 AFFINITY W 2-0
Game 1 i hit infinit life with anafenza turn 3 and he could only infect me to 9 the turn after.
Game 2 i go to chord for kataki on turn 3 and realize i forgot to board it in. So i get qasali instead. Next turn i go to 9 infect. Then i drew my missing combo piece, blew up his torpor orb and won with melira/life.
Round 3 Grixis Delver UID 1-1-1
Game 1 i get him on turn 3 or 4
Game 2 was long and grindy. We both kept so-so hands. He ended up winning.
Game 3 we also kept so-so hands. He had me dead on board but i drew chord for pontiff to 10/1 him and that was the draw.
Round 4 Mirror match against Logan Mize UID 1-1-1
Game 1 my choice to maindeck linvala paid off after a long game.
Game 2 another grindy game. He ended up winning with beat downs and a pharika
Game 3 if this game would have gone on a few more turns i wouldve won i think.
(For the record aside from these 2 draws i have only ever UID'd one other time)

(Before the tournament i knew a bunch were on burn so i went up to 3 firewalkers in the sb)
Game 1 i think i got him turn 4
Game 2 i just kept chording for finks over and over
Round 6 Burn W 2-0
Game 1 i played a turn 3,on the play, linvala into a goblin guide, a summoning sick lavamancer, and a rift bolt on suspend. He bolted the linvala and tried to activate lavamancer to finish it off. Needless to say that was game over.
Game 2 i played a turn 2 firewalker and a turn 3 firewalker and it was over
Top 8 grixis delver L 0-2 (different guy)
Game 1 i mulliganed to a pretty meh hand and got tempo'd out.
Game 2 also mulliganed to a very unexciting hand and got wrecked by staticaster.
Not to downplay it, but my draws in top8 were very poor and my SB strategy was definitely wrong.
He also had very good draws though.
Oh well, cant win them all.
Ill just have to crush GP Pittsburgh now instead.
I dont know why people want to dedicate so much headache into trying to make a 80/20 matchup 50/50.
Just play Mindcensor. It has much more crossover applications.
Im not expecting much of the lands matter decks at the PTQ this weekend, but im playing 2 mindcensors in my SB and they will do just fine if those decks show up.
In regards to kataki and sculler vs thoughtseize and stony silence
Hitting kataki off of coco doesnt happen until turn 3 at the earliest. Youre probably close to dead by then.
I dont run thoughtseize or sculler, but the same thing goes. The only reason you are running that effect is stop combo decks...which by turn 3 youre probably just too far behind or dead
Pharika is good in the mirror and thats about it bc it cant be stopped by linvala.
I dont know why people are still trying to waste dedicated SB slots vs tron. Especially if its not big in your area.

Im on 2, have been for a long while now. They are good vs just about everything.
Im probably going to move ooze to the SB for a 3rd seer.

How are you not able to attack with infinite bolsters in the same turn? Did you just play all 4 creatures that turn?
When you infinitely scry...what do you put on top?
