Guys, she's not running a blog, she's not affiliated with a website, or intended to make some youtube unboxing vid. She got the opportunity to get the product early and she's opening packs like anyone else that enjoys the game (and probably excited as hell).

So when she's ready, she'll post the spoilers. Typos or not, she'll have em up when she's done typing.

Nobodys giving anyone a "hard time"
But i suppose she warned us that she was sensitive, so i yield.
Ima just chill, whatever spoilers come first, official or not, i'll be waiting.

You would not believe how many rude people there were when she first spoiled the Duel Decks. English is not her first language and everyone was hostile towards her.

Just give her some time, she'll share the spoilers when she can.

I suppose thats true, judgeing my the profile, female is definatly more likely.
And again, true, few more days and we have it all. It dosent even really matter, if op wants to spoil finding, great. If not, this is just a "PAY ATTENTION TO ME" thread.

She's a friend of mine from across the globe. She will spoil it when she finds time, so please don't give her such a hard time.

Safe to say that by a 'few' boxes, she means 'un poquito', which may as well be a ton?

    She's Japanese.

I really don't see her making any impact in Legacy at all. Casuals, yes, but never in a Daily 4-0'n or such.

The fact it flies and has lifelink is pretty relevant in standard though. I'd keep your eyes peeled on preorders at less than $10.

I've seen too much elitism caused by entitlement. This is a game and it should remain so. Those that are too stubborn to exit their comfort zone and actually make money without an unregulated secondary market should just challenge themselves rather than take advantage of others and their inability to properly value money.

The friends I grew up during high school, refuse to play the game and have said that the game was too expensive back then, let alone now. Paying anything over $10 for a single piece a cardboard that remains in-print should not allow man-childred with a credit card to place value on them.

Keep in mind, my old friends are doctors, engineers and pharmacists now, so they don't exactly fit in the whole "poor college kid" category. They're actual responsible adults that value money more realistically than an average neck-beard.

So for those who don't enjoy seeing reprints of overpriced cardboard, I must caution what you value more in the community. Your own satisfaction knowing you own "valuable" cardboard or welcoming a new generation of players who may eventually become a part of your network or even your friend, husband or wife.

It's pretty obvious watching the pro tour that Aetherling, Voice and Blood Baron are the real deal. They were all showing up in high quantities in every match I watched.

The only thing holding down those cards are the interactions between restoration angel and thragtusk generating more card/life/board advantage then those cards can generate.

Exactly. Once rotation hits, expect some insane prices you have to fork over for a Standard Esper deck.

Have you seen how Baron functions at all in these decks? It's the deck itself, not blindly slamming down Baron/Aetherling that does the auto-win condition. These are Esper decks, designed to control on almost all fronts, including hand destruction, which clears the path for Baron/Aeitherling. Similar to how Esperblade functions in Legacy, you don't just blindly slam threats w/out Thoughtseizing/IoK first.

Honestly, you're just going to fold to removal? So you're "that guy" on gatherer that spams "dies to (X) and (Y)"? You being a Legacy player of all things know that's never been an issue in any format. Miracle Top didn't just die when Abrupt Decay happened. Does it change the match up? Yes, but it's still manageable. Various tier 1 control decks in Legacy/Modern still use Baneslayer/Wurmcoil/Batterskull as a stabilizer and that's what Baron functionally does in Standard once rotation hits.

The comment about Thragtusk is due to all the lifegain redundancy through the blink/ETB effects currently in standard, which is the only thing hampering the clock that Aetherling/Baron presents once resolved.

Which unless WotC wants another year of Thragtusk, won't be an issue after M14. I expect the Baron will see play until RTR block rotates out.

It's things like this that makes the secondary market so toxic for Magic. I don't even know if I should be angry or disappointed at these people.

Either way, they're making it more and more difficult for new Legacy players to enter the format. They're just speeding up the eventual phasing of the format (like Vintage), which is a shame for the older demographic of their game. I'm sure people that are willing to spend over half their paycheck on this hobby will continue to pay "premium prices" to play Legacy at the Opens, but eventually they have to grow up or realize the actual value of money outside of cardboard.

To make it clear (so I don't sound like a prick), I play RIP Miracles and Pox myself in Legacy, but the prices to make additional decks are just too out of control when I could be spending that money on a half dozen Modern decks, or few decent EDH decks, or heaven forbid, another hobby. :p

This deck caught my eye a few days ago. It seems to do well against multi-colored decks, but it just doesn't have anything against Affinity or anything faster than aggro decks in the format.

    Appollus (3rd Place)

The sideboard seems really weak. I'd probably drop Mentor for a pair of Phyrexian Revoker and cut the Mirran Crusader/1 Timely for a pair of Ethersworn Canonist as well. Devout Lightcaster for Gaddock Teeg as well.

The list would look like this:

I had sent some cards to Rob in 2012 to get signed, and received them back within a month or so. They turned out great so after a couple of months I sent him some of my more expensive cards that he had done (Ravnica shocks, a couple of foils; ~$200 of stuff). I sent with delivery confirmation so I know they got there, but despite sending him an email a few weeks ago, I haven't heard anything back. I have since moved and am a bit worried that I will never see those cards again what with mail forwarding mishaps etc . . . .

I just wanted to see if anyone else has sent cards to him recently and what their experience was. I realize there is inherent risk in sending cards to artists and that these things take time. I figured it was worth a shot to see if anyone else is in a similar situation.

Separate question: I did include a tip of roughly $30 on 20-25 cards. Generally speaking, is that reasonable?

    Thanks MTGS.

There's ALWAYS a risk sending things through mail. Have you been able to contact him directly to verify if he sent the cards already? Commercial artists tend to have hectic schedules, so don't be surprised if he hasn't found time to send them out yet.

The tip was ok, but it doesn't hurt to send artists goodies that they're known to love. Terese Nielsen for example, loves bottled merlot.
