Double Sides cards or Purple Mana? What is dumber?
Obviously purple mana. If R&D cooked it up for being one of the main mechanics for an entire block, I'm pretty sure they playtested it over and over to ensure that it'll work. Otherwise, they would've found something else.
See? There's what we were missing. I'm going to take a guess and say that these checklists are going to be coming in boosters and all, so that the bases are all covered.
Things will be covered in time, there must be something we're missing here. Wizards wouldn't just go and make a broken mechanic like this- there's got to be one element that we're missing.
Also, the flavor text of Bloodgift Demon reads, "He relishes the devotion of his Skirsdag puppets and their belief that it will earn them immortality."
Ah, good call, I missed that.
Also, anyone noticed that there weren't any (obvious) vampires on any of the art?
Sooo, I think I missed the part in the article about why humans are a part of Skirsdag. Is it for power, or wealth? Or do they just want to see the rest of their race masscred by demons? And vamps. And werewolves. And geists. And zombies.
Soooo, if Avacyn does turn out to be a PW, I bet she'll turn back up soon. I also bet that Liliana's there to A) kill one of the demons she had a deal with (possibly Griselbrand?) then sticking around for plane domination? or B) to complete some kind of ritual to ascend to a higher level of magic (hence "Dark Ascension"). Also, I'm going to make a guess and say that Sorin's got peeps around Innistrad that keep him updated and let him know that Avacyn's gone, it's getting off balance, etc, and he's there to either seize control or to check things out and maybe put them back to being balanced.
On a more personal note, Kessig will most definitely be my favorite area, by far. Eternal autumn + werewolves = a very satisfied skorchdnite.
I have a question why does everyone believe there will be yet another new garruk in ISD?
The UltraPro products that were shown a couple weeks ago depict a new Garruk on it, therefore everyone assumes Garruk's going to get a new card for ISD. My bet's on (besides Liliana of course) Ral Zarek getting it and Garruk popping up later.
'ello, I'm a long-time reader of these forums but first-time poster. I've been playing Magic for roughly 8 years but very casually. I'm currently a student living in Cleveland.
My favorite color, by far, is red. I'm also a big Vorthos kind of guy (I can literally spend hours on end reading anything on mtg wikis) and I'm usually all over spoilers.
Please note, I'm a giant newb when it comes to designing signatures or avatars or anything generally relating to forums.

Give it a chance, I bet you'll like it.

I'd be willing to bet they'd make a new mechanic for that. Possibly something akin to soulshift, but for demons?
Then we can speculate more and more when the cards actually come out as to the flavor inspiration behind them

...there needs to be a human named Van Helsing

Anyone think Ral's coming in with 5 abilities?
