I love the card. I see blue or black being the colors to abuse it. The art on the card is fun and seems to make you think of it as a snow land that doesn't produce mana. I like that they are starting to print lands that are not mana producers again. I wonder if future sets will do this again or is it just because we are revisiting older sets right now.
Mana Screw: Say I had out Mana screw and I wanted to play a Gleemax: Assuming I always had at least 1 mana, would it be stalling/too much time to keep doing Mana Screw's affect till I got 1,000,000 mana? I wouldn't think so, since it has a purpose, but my friends hate me now.
Thanks for reminding me about tags Majora:)
To me I see the question as being if I have infinite mana can I flip a coin until I have infinite mana. If you just have 1 mana in your pool to win 500,000 straight coin flips than I can see why your friends would be mad at you. If you assume the flips will always be 50/50 and you win the first flip no matter how many time you continue to flip the coin your mana total will max out at 3. Pay 1 win 2. Spend 1 win 2 will total 3. But the next would be followed by a lose so back to 2.
earthquake didn't win. Far better spell and much much more powerful. I think the Champion is the better choice it comes into play a turn faster and can have a bigger effect on the game if played second turn.
Incinerate back in the core set is great, seems to go along side with Last Gasp. Sort of seems like gasp might have helped put incinerate back in the rotation.
I want to see earthquake back. That is one of the best red burn spells of all time. I've been waiting for that card for a long time. Besides green doesn't need any new flying hate spells it has a lot right now. Let red get its staple back.
On defense of Ice Age though every one said at the time the worst 2 cards in Magic were Necropotence and Demonic Consultation both cards being unplayable.
But yes blocks do go up in down in power, it sort of has to the maintain balance. Sounds strange but it does.
It is spelled Shahrazad. You just start a new subgame. Before the restriction to 4 cards people used to play decks with only Plains and Shahrazad, you end up winning because they run out of cards.
There is a big jump from 1 power to 2 power, in a fast agro deck. You go from 20 attacks to 10, that's hugh when you consider if you play against control it is a few turns before they have an answer.
On a side note, I don't mind Story Circle as rare but I hate having it with bothCOPs. I wish instead we saw the twoknights as the color hosers. But I guess then they would be the only playable ones that aren't sideboard only.
Yes you can do that, the fetch lands like Polluted Delta doesn't care if the land is basic just that is has the land type Island or Swamp. This has caused the price of the fetch lands to go up due to this use in extended.
Signature is bad. The problem with it is, prove it is the person you say it is. I can sign a card and say the artist or Richard Garfield did it. On low end cards most of the time people don't care, but the fact of the matter is that the card has been drawn on and is no longer in a condition that can be graded.
5 damage off of drawing from the Dark Confidant and then winning at 9 life instead of 14 life is still winning the game. Dark Confidant is always easy to get rid of when your life total gets too low to keep him around, most times the game is already over by then. I still see this card as a game ender unless we get a new ritual maybe Burnt Offering.
The truth is that most people don't need or want to know the truth, at least all of it. Do you think that the U.S. should tell every one every thing all the time? I'm sure that there are things that they haven't told us but I don't think that there is a major reason for me to know that information at this time.
Minimum wage is a very dangerous thing. With out it people willing to work for much less would take all the jobs, the people that need more money would suffer. Sure they could get a job but the money they would get paid would not be worth their time. I know that sounds strange because you would think something is better than nothing but not in this case. Like with me, my wife stays at home instead of having a 2 income home. If she went out and got a job she would have to make no less than $10 an hour to pay for day care, not counting taxes and such. So that means she would need atleast $15 an hour to make about $2.50 an hour its not worth it. This is just one example on why min wage is needed.
But Wal-mart tried not to long ago to raise the min wage. Why would they do that? After all they already pay more than min wage and the change would not have given their workers any more money. Wal-mart wanted to force the surrounding companies to pay their workers more money than they could afford so they would be forced out of business and Wal-mart would get more customers. One example on why min wage can't increase too much.
Minimum wage is needed but it does need to be kept at a good balance.
Mirrodin was also the artifact block. It was supposed to print more powerful artifacts. In order to do so, cards that would have been rare were made uncommon, uncommons were made common. This allowed from cards like Sword of Fire and Ice. If the cards get reprinted most likely they will be more rare.
Know when to rare draft. People pass good rares because they aren't in color, well when you draft you always end up with cards not in color that you never play so why not make some of them $5+ cards? Also you can try lot sales on ebay, yard sales, flea markets. You can get some good cards that way that you can use to trade, sale, or use. Find friends that may buy boxes and offer to pay some cash for some of the cards.
