that's good news. that means the animate dead can bring back any creature into play now.:) i used to think that if the animate dead leaves play akroma is put into the graveyard. thanks for clearing out that one for me.

HOWEVER. Akroma, Angel of Wrath and the Spirit of the night since they have protection from black, are unable to be equipped by a black enchantment. (see the D.E.B.T. principle of protection). so the animate dead falls off. since they are protected from it, it also doesn't destroy them.

have fun sending that angel to the dome.:D

yes a simic sky swallower that can't be targeted with akroma on turns 1 or 2 is fun.:)

ok so since akroma has pro black you're saying the animate dead falls off her but it doesn't destroy her. does that mean akroma stays in play without the animate dead?

Hi. I have questions regarding the card animate dead. its a confusing card for me and i hope you guys can help me out.

    1. can i animate dead a creature with pro black like akroma, angel of wrath or spirit of the night? if so will they remain in play under the animate dead?

    2. can i animate dead a simic sky swallower or plated slagwurm? if so will they remain in play under the animate dead?

    thanks.

OMG! B/R is becoming more playable then ever. that's my guild now.

    Ignorant Bliss
    {1}{R}

    Instant
Remove all cards in your hand from the game face down. At end of turn, return those cards to your hand, then draw a card.

-excellent hellbent enabler at instant speed for surprises.

    Rix Maadi, Dungeon Palace
    Land

{T}: Add {1} to your mana pool.
{1}{B}{R}, {T}: Each player discards a card. Play this ability only any time you could play a sorcery.

    - Good bye control.

    Ghost Quarter
    Land

{T}: Add {1} to your mana pool.
{T}, Sacrifice Ghost Quarter: Destroy target land. Its controller may search his or her library for a basic land card, put it into play, then shuffle his or her library.

-I want a playset. Not a wasteland but VERY playable getting rid of that annoying land like Rix Maadi if you're control.

Overall. Dissension is looking very good.

Wouldn't it be weird if all the cards that he mentioned were the ones that got previewed next week?

EDIT: The previewed cards should be edited into the first post with all the corrected information.

but then again you getting the preview cards for next week a week earlier. don't see what's wrong with that.

the 3 toughness just kills it. though i do want to test a couple in my sligh deck. I'd say $5-8 than $4-6 than $2-3.

    Great find!

    1. great. a very playable card in weenie decks and w/X control decks. this is the closest it gonna get to swords to plowshares.
    2. wow a playable legend. though i have a feeling it will be targeted first but making your spells cost 1 less and your opponent spells cost 1 more is crazy.
    3. could be playable in casual decks.

  • posted a message on Do you like Hellbent?
i voted yes becuase i'm mostly a black and red player with a pinch of blue. since i'm red and black i like to go aggro and dump my whole hand and that's natural to how i play those colors. after that hellbent kicks in keeping me in the game hopefully once i'm in top deck mode. yes it kinda dangerous but i'm risking it.

no. this is not that of a good card. unless in casual, u/w control decks are naturally not going to run maybe more than 4-6 six fatties for finshers late in the game. that said with 4-6 in your deck you have a very low chance of hitting that fatty and end up missing wasting a card. yes there are ways to manipulate your deck but why run it when its take more effort just to make this card work? i'd say this card is casual play.

yes, these are not tourny worthy so far but i can see having fun with them in casual circles around the table. i like the ooze. it a very nice designed card. as for radkos, he's pretty fun too when you hit the opposing player with nothing out but land its ggpo. only in casual btw.

this card windweaver is getting me excited. he could be a finisher in my u/w landstill. i want a couple in my deck so badly. sure its not on par with morphling but that's then and this is the closest thing we're going to get. i don't mind it being targetable since it can bounce itself so thats not much of a problem.

why not go with 4- 5 colors and splash the nephilims too? the bloodwitch so far is very playable. turn creatures in combat with damage stacked that would die anyway into shocks and draw a card is powerful. so far i'm liking her.

that's becuase the kamigawa block was designed by wizard's B team. the A team was busy working on ravnica block.

i find the article is more geared towards the spike player rather then timmys and johnnys.
