Obligatory skirk prospector mention, because I am sure that it breaks this.
It is getting to the point with legacy goblins where you basically every gobo combos off with every gobo you could include.

The Lord of Tresserhorn posted a message on [DMU] Plaza of Heroes — Corey Baumeister previewBut isn't the point that you use this to cast your commander? Even if the commander is 5-color, this land will be able to give you the color you're otherwise missing. And if your commander is a single color... Color identity implies the rest of your deck is that single color as well. And once you've played your commander, this will always provide all colors in your commander's color identity. The third mana ability can be used to cast everything, after all.Posted in: The Rumor Mill -

If you have a high cmc commander you've got a colorless land and it only becomes a Command Tower after you've cast it. Sure, if your deck has a ton of legendaries this will work sooner, but not every single deck is flooded with them. This seems okay though, I think I'll stick to Tyrite Sanctum for assisting my commander.
you know the one under the colorless mana is rainbow mana for legendary spells -

I'm guessing dropping just one stun counter may be the norm moving forward instead of the Frost Lynx clause.

Guessing? I think that's exactly why Stun tokens exist. -

It's total power 1 or more - you can flicker your whole board with this, no problem. -

you can tap as many creatures as you want to pay for crew, you just have to hit the minimum to actually crew the thing. -

wether its on purpose or not but they madea brutal mistake with Verrak
it siads "not a mana ability" and "life payment"
it doesn't have "nonland"
the Fetchlands
- Misty rainforest
- Polluted delta
- Verdant catacombs
- Marsh flats
- Flooded strand
- Windswept Heath
- Scalding tarn
- Arid mesa
- Bloodstained mire
- Wooded foothills
and also Prismatic Vista
they created another atleast white ramp card you can get 2 lands for 2 life since it's not a mana abilty
- Misty rainforest

sleeper agent 2.0 posted a message on [DMU] 4 commons — Adam the Gathering previewsPosted in: The Rumor MillQuote from SecretInfiltrator »Quote from ilovesaprolings »Wholesome phyrexian Ajani
I assume that story moment is before the reveal of him being a sleeper agent. But I suppose "and the best way to protect you, I think, is to make certain that ALL BECOME ONE" is a legit extension of Ajani's philosophy. All become part of the one pride.
Yeah, this is definitely pre-sleeper reveal and we know that not all (maybe none) of the sleepers actually know they are sleepers until they are activated now. (We saw in the story his moment of denial/trying to stop the transformation as it was happening :()
You're right though that his natural philosophy can definitely be manipulated into fitting into Phyrexia's goals. Something similar occurred with Tamiyo.

He shook his head in denial and mouthed no, no, no gripping his own arms as if he could restrain the Phyrexian fibers beneath his skin and prevent them from emerging. But they engorged, ripping open muscle and fur, to reveal a sleek, dense Phyrexian musculature that had been installed beneath his own.
Chapters of nothingness, but this one really hits me. The struggle and suffering is palpable. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

EightRealmbreaker.) +1 her while the board is clear. -2 her once my opponent plays creatures that are 3/3 or larger. Take advantage of her colour fixing by not cracking fetchlands as proactively. Never ult, pray for removal permanents (e.g. Teferi, Time Raveler, Leyline Binding) but typically get lands instead with her -2, watch her die to removal after multiple -2's, but find I won that game anyway because I got that much chip damage and small edges towards hardcast Archon of Cruelty. Somehow never target her elemental with Indomitable Creativity but like her anyway. Reflect on the irony that I just tested Wrenn and Realmbreaker in a deck with 4 Wrenn and Six in it.I can see Wrenn and Realmbreaker in Modern Jund and Omnath, Locus of Creation decks, too. Those decks might even get to ult her!

Guess it's time to go back to good old Path to Exile, Terminate, Assassin's Trophy, Tear Asunder, Vindicate, etc.?

I recall putting Slaughter Games in my Modern Gr Tron sideboard back in the day despite needing a nasty colour splash in order to cast that in addition to it costing 4 mana. The Stone Brain's critical turn being Turn 4 is good enough for me.
I'll typically only wish for The Stone Brain if one activation cripples them so hard that they can draw 4 cards that turn and still lose (e.g. Indomitable Creativity (especially since they crumble hard to 2-3 activations and you have a fairly good chance to activate at least twice in a row), Living End (only after wishing for Tormod's Crypt and/or Chalice of the Void first), UR Storm (name their finishers first), Calibrated Blast (the rest of their deck is a joke), UGr Scapeshift (name Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle if they haven't landed one yet, name Scapeshift if they have landed a Valakut)).
Come to think of it, The Stone Brain is a juicy sideboard card for Goblin Engineer and the rare Whir of Invention decks (I suspect Goblin Engineer decks will get more common due to Engineer's nuts synergy with Phyrexian Dragon Engine). Speaking as a Green Tron player, at least our own Karn GC hoses opposing The Stone Brains.

Drafna, Founder of Lat-Nam looks fun with Mishra's Bauble. Shame his abilities are so expensive that I think I'd rather play his wife, Hurkyl, Master Wizard in artifact-heavy decks.

Gix's Command's 3rd mode not targeting makes sense. Now you really can destroy all the low-power creatures and then recur 2 of your own that you just killed!
