serious question. do people whine this much about legacy? or are the legacy players just most mature? any non fow deck in legacy can die instantly on t2 and they never cry about bans. they want unbans if anything and modern could uae the same

maybe its lots of standard players arent used to this kind of magic asking for every deck to get banned?

The real problem is that Wizards promised more than they can deliver. They promised an affordable eternal format that bans anything that wins consistently before turn four. The problem is that their were a lot of way to win before turn 4 in this format it is just taking years to find them all. Then they say they aren't testing for the format. They make cards that look good for standard, Dig through time and treasure cruise, but don't figure out if they are good in modern so they need to ban it. Nobody could have looked at Griselbrand and Shoal years ago and seen they would be a problem now. IF they want to stop this they need to test for modern. Without that testing these bans will need to continue to happen. It's not whining, though I don't think Wizards reads these boards, it is a way for people to voice their discomfort with the state of the format Wizards is pushing down our throat.

posted a message on Recent inflation/price increases concerning for non-rotating formats
The main problem I see, and I figure what a lot of people see, isn't specifically just the price inflation or that they are priced out of any 1 format. It's that they are priced out of every format. Vintage was too expensive so they cut out the big players like moxen, lotus,...and called it legacy. Then lands and other RL stuff exploded, so they created modern. Now we are seeing the fetches explode, gofy, bob, this ridiculous with bitterblossom being $10 and now $50+. The price wont go down because Starcty will say, "We can't lower the price because it's out of print." And it will stay their. Standard is always expensive because it rotates and cards plummet. So now you have all major formats, all constructed tourney formats, costing ridiculous prices. So you say go play EDH. Alright but that shares many cards with legacy and modern, which drives these out of print cards even farther. Alright then you say go play limited. Fine I only payed $15 and I had some fun. Now what do I do with these useless cards since I've been priced out of every constructed format? Play casual you say, but I would like to play even a FNM but it costs too much. It is fine that a hobby costs money, but, when they create format after format to try to set a low price point then fail completely to stabilize and do things specifically to "raise interest" in a format, artificially boosting demand, without equally raising supply, we the players are the ones who hurt. I have one of the best collections of all my friends. And if my $500 deck became $200 and was able to buy 3 more different decks I would be a lot happier because I wouldn't have only the one deck to play.

Swap Erase for Attended Knight. Erase is a sideboard card where attended knight is a decent creature. I never really cared for pacifism outside of Duels of the planeswalkers. If I understand you correctly if it was once printed as a common it counts for you now. Oblivion ring was printed as a common in no less then 6 sets 2 of which were regular expansions (Lorwyn and Shards of alara). it is much better then pacifism in that pacifism still allows them to set off activated/ triggered abilities(such as the mirror a pacified exalted creature would still give it's exalted) but a completely exiled creature can do nothing.

posted a message on First post ever in MTGS, Looking for some help with my deck
Defiantly use Augur of Bolas. Drop index and run ponder until rotation then switch to augur. Since your deck is almost all instant or soceries it will help much more the index due to its replacement ability. index goes deeper but augur lets you dump cards you don't need right then to the bottom of your library.
