and it is wotc's responsibility to give you an appreciating asset?
For what it's worth, Wizards felt a similar need to do so in terms of implementing a certain list of cards. I don't want to belittle your argument, but this is what the game has ultimately become.
I could care less about these cards or any of the other releases. I play Magic to play it, and when I enjoy a card enough to beautify it I either spend the money to do so or I ignore if I cannot afford it. Magic should be a hobby, not a stock market.
We now have 8 Octopuses in MTG, 9 if you count Unstable.
*Octopodes.
No.....it is most properly "octopuses." Unless you really want to utilize the Greek in place of the accepted English, "octopuses" is the most commonly accepted plural in cephalopod biology.
MY BOI! Favorite MTG character of mine finally gets a card.
He doesn't do what I expected (I was thinking something more like Bargain and Will on a very expensive stick), but this is actually more interesting in my opinion. Designing the deck for him has been really fun and interesting so far, and I think playing it will be even more so.

Now we can close the site!
I've studied marine biology of invertebrates, specifically cephalopods, for over a decade now. But nice troll attempt.

I think the idea is that both this and Lotus Bloom will be played in the same deck. Or maybe a new slower "storm" variant.
Eggs 2.0, anyone?
Agreed. If you're pitching for this card it seems like an increased action opposed to just picking your cards up and shuffling them.
But hey, I've been wrong before and will be many times more.
I could be wrong, but I think the reference was towards Arclight Phoenix.
