Which is why I'm stepping away from this for a while. I have to deal with heightened interest rates and other expenses that eat up most of my disposable income. I still follow along but just have no emotional or financial patience to get involved with it at this time.

It's hilariously ironic to me that with the expensive format of Legacy being my only real interest at the release of every set/expansion/lair/paper they print, I have saved so much money by simply employing this exact philosophy.

"if it's not relevant there, I've no reason to care."

Seems Like a waste of a creature with “recruiter” in the name. It would have been better imo to let it tutor up a knight.

I agree with you, thought the exact same thing, and really felt as you did, but...

...there exist cards such as Lotus Guardian.

I think people will give Mind's Desire its fair shake and then abandon it, but Preordain is always a solid inclusion

I think this is the most likely thing to occur but wow.....wasn't expecting that. Storm hasn't been doing too great or too badly in Legacy, but it still always manages to hold its own and giving it more toys is always worth at least some type of concern. Maybe I'll try it as part of a Burning Wish package since I've been leaning towards that as of recent.

EDIT: This probably will be garbage in ANT; it will likely have to spawn some type of new storm archetype to function, kinda similar to how Underworld Breach had storm applications but largely made its own deck. Galvanic Relay is probably just better in today's day and age.

Thanks for sharing. But I am getting 404 error link not found on your link.

I had no problem accessing the article, though the OP of it did state they had to fix the url.

Now I will say this: don't read this article unless you want to fuel your skepticism because it is worded...in ways that seem almost too "movie-esque."

I am under the assumption that the stories are true and the card was probably uncovered legitimately. Even if it weren't, there is almost ZERO chance for ANYONE but those 'in the know' to actually find evidence of this, simply due to the effort that would be required to keep collusion of this level a 'secret.'

All I know is I no longer feel compelled to buy the exactly one Collector's Booster of this set I had initially intended to, so unless serious collusion is directly responsible for such an event, I have no reason to complain.

I don't quite get the "I have a buffet behind me, therefore I stab you harder" of Hobbit's Sting. I get it's to play with limited, but for what's actually happening it's weird.

You expect them to do their best without second breakfast?

Unclear why or how you are keeping and bearing arms on MTGSalvation.

"Post lightly, but keep a swath of inflammatory comments ready" is an MTGS motto of mine. Hell, I'm surprised I'm still allowed.

Due to power creep and poor testing (T3feri, Veil of Summer, Oko, Thief of Crowns anyone?) banning cards in Standard is more necessary now than in the past

    Fixed for clarity.

    PERSONAL TUTOR REPRINT THANK YOU!!!

I have been tempted to bite the bullet on that card for SO LONG due to wanting to have Legacy Doomsday be optimized and this should help stymy its price hikes.

Kraken token is amazing. Honestly this is the first time I have enjoyed glossing over the art of each token rather than scroll quickly past.

The Eldrazi *should* pose a much higher level of threat, but they don't. The Eldrazi are seeming more of environmental antagonists than villianous threats. They just want to feed from everything that I can tell. Yes, in the process of eating a plane dies and they can warp reality, but there isn't any malice behind it. I truly don't think that Ulamog and Kozilek should have fallen so easily to the Brady Walkers like they did.

I did want to clarify this point as well, but was too lazy being on mobile; they are a more potent threat in terms of capability, but they aren't inherently malicious, as you describe.

The Drazi should honestly pose a much higher level threat than they do to be fair. Phyrexians want to take over reality, Eldrazi reside inside the space between reality and could probably unravel it if inclined.

You are right though that Phyrexians needed to be more of a threat than Bolas, because he is literally just a dragon mustache twirler as opposed to an inexorable plague that consumes and converts all.

Despite my love and desire for the Phyrexians to be the 'ultimate' villains of Magic throughout the storytelling of the game's history, this analysis of both the Eldrazi and Bolas is pretty accurate.

they are beggining to scrape the bottom of the barrel. not only most of the cards is not played in any format but also the art styles are getting repetitive.
they clearly are not overprinting products. not at all. /s

Yep. There are countless cards that need reprints that are at the same time playable across formats and worth respectable money as well.

WotC dummies just want to keep up this cash grab junk, but don't understand that they could get even more $$$ if they printed STUFF PLAYERS WANT!!!

Dude come on, how are they supposed to know? They've said countless times that they don't pay attention to the secondary market of their own product, which has been evidenced by Masters sets, 30th Anniversary, and their company stock value.
