I don't see any real pros... Reducing the life total just because PW's are allowed as your Commander doesn't make sense at all. You can choose between so many Generals, why would we need this rule change? Having such a big watchlist because of that creates uncertainty and keeps players from building certain decks or entering the format.
This will inevitably lead to a bigger banlist and many people will have problems to keep track of all that.

Jan 19, 2019Yes maybe one thread is enough... because you cannot always determine which format is responsible for a spike. Maybe we could have two threads. One about recent spikes and another one for speculation.Posted in: Market Street Café
Jan 15, 2019I think the curse/twitch issue was that you had to create new usernames and many people just didn't want or didn't understand why... That's why we have fewer people who actually post here...Posted in: Market Street Café
1. I don't think mtg loses popularity. The problem might be that we have so many new formats like cube, brawl, frontier, etc. So people are less active in the established formats, because they want to try something new and different.
2. This is sadly true. I was also way more active here, but since I have a job it's really difficult to find enough time to read and post.
3. I never liked reddit and I do think that this part of the forum should be reworked. It would be better to just have 2 price discussion threads. One with cards from 8th edition till today, the other one with older cards (for example).
Jan 14, 2019I am also disappointed that there is no discussion anymore in all price threads. There is definitely a lot to talk about, but the interest is pretty low in this community. Another problem is that there are also price discussion threads in the modern and legacy subforum. But I also have the feeling that since curse took over there is not much going on here anymore.Posted in: Market Street Café
Jan 14, 2019HandsomeJack posted a message on [[Official]] General Discussion of the Official Multiplayer BanlistBanning RIFT doesn't make sense. If you eliminate the whole table after casting RIFT you weren't that far away from winning anyway. I often saw this card as a defensive option, too. Tooth and Nail or Craterhoof Behemoth are definitely bigger offenders.Posted in: Commander Rules Discussion Forum
I personally would love to see some tutor cards go. They make it way too easy winning games.
