So it's not really infinite mana as much as it's another win-con by gaining infinite life or a way of drawing your deck until you get the cards you want. I guess this really adds to the Golem/Deathmantle combo more than the Pili Pala one.
The Pili Pala combo requires Grand Architect so it adds to both. I think a U/B version is very strong, I'll think about this one for a bit.
I run with an all blue version, I scrapped this together a while back ago but after seeing your pili-pala, I updated it. Nice combo! http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/nim-golem/
It says legacy due to Dissipate showing up as a Mirage card. The nice thing with the double infinite mana engine is that if you surprise your opponent with the 1st on game 1, he/she may not be expecting the 2nd mana engine if he/she sideboarded in hate for the 1st one
You can probably drop to an all blue mana base which makes it a bit easier. The Sun Titans are nice for recursion but why run with that when you can use a Noxious Revival at the end of their turn? Pact of Negation is excellent when you combo off and you are tapped out. It is a bit pricey though.
Have you foind a lot of use for contaigon clasp in the current meta?
For my local meta, I defeated a mirror deck who used Trigon of Rage instead of Clasp. Liliana saved my ass a few times by sacrificing their creature and forcing them to discard cards (which ended up being removal spells). The proliferate helps. Trigon of Rage is a dead card if you have no creatures. Clasp can still proliferate.
Clasp also saved me with the -1/-1 counters a few times. But like I say, it depends on your local meta. There is no major advantage of running Trigon or Clasp over each other. Your mileage may vary.
I've been seeing a lot of replies where people are finding Liliana's with snapcasters. The box I opened up last week (my friends and I drafted from it) contained a Liliana and a Garruk but no Snapcasters.
Odd, you see a 193a/264 and a 193b/264 at the bottom. May be a fake but if this is real, I wonder how they will implement the duality of it.
EDIT: Actually if you look at both cards, you will see the same window behind the human adviser and the werewolf jumping out of it. Seems a lot more believable. With the 3/3 in the lower right side, there is no need for a flip card or a split card. Just a "Mayor of Avabruck becomes a green 3/3 Werewolf if it is night". The werewolf card is merely a token.
I love the Ad Nauseam / Death's Shadow decks, but they never took off in Standard or Extended...any ideas for Modern? Is Zoo a better route? The basic idea is to load the deck with cheap RB spells like Bolt, Shadow, Bob (woah, you can use Bob now), and haste cards like Goblin Bushwhacker (there's a better cheap haste enabler now, correct?)...maybe GG, Thoughtseize...possibly acceleration, too...play Ad Nauseam as soon as possible, draw 10 to 15 cards, drop a bunch of weenies, destroy your opponent's board with removal and use your now-meager life total to drop one or two Death's Shadows with haste for the win.
Any ideas? Is it worth it? What's the best way to ramp into Ad Nauseam?
The better idea is to save 5 mana when you have Ad Nauseam so at the end of your opponent's turn, you can cast it and start drawing cards until your life total reaches about 5 (stopping there just in case you might draw another Ad Nauseam). You start your turn, untap, then you should have at least 6 mana open to kick at least one Goblin Bushwhacker and a few hasty Death's Shadow and other 1 mana creatures to swing for the win.
Hello all, I'm quite new here! Anyways, I have a quick question. I have a Devour for Power Precon and I will soon be getting a Gwendlyn di Corci for a commander. I was wondering what other good commander precons I can buy to cannibalize for a deck revolving around her?
I'm rather new to the modern magic world as I quit back in 1999. A friend brought me back into the fold and the commander scene seems pretty fun. Thanks for the help!

Hence the counters, unsummons, and other control elements. This deck can also feasibly go off by turn 3 or 4. How is that any different?
If you still want to keep in white, you need Silence or Grand Abolisher to better protect your combo.

Vatmothers are excellent against RDW, that's all I know.
