Used cheap, efficient creatures like Cathedral Sanctifier and Goldnight Redeemer to gain life and block. Went 4-2, lost first match to bad mana fixing. Lost the other match to a near mirror match. My Avacyn was out, wrecking his face (he had 40 life) until he casted his own Avacyn to legend rule. He topped deck Defy Death and it was GG. Most epic sealed ever for us two.
My LGS charges $5 for entry and 2 booster packs, one which goes to whoever kills you and you get to keep the other one.
They have commander divided up into two groups, one is a "casual" table (ie no infinite loops) and the other table with "competitive". So far, it's been pretty fun and popular. It's attracted a lot of people to format and a few people even bought the precons and jumped right into the fray.
A guy with a precon Kalia deck ended up killing a person for a pack and came in 2nd at the casual table.
5 player table at the game shop and everyone has two booster packs. If you kill a player, you take one of their packs so the stakes are high (though house rules dictate no infinite combos)
Everyone else is mostly screwed and I keep my Blazing Archon with Lightning Greaves. I play politics and I assure Zedruu I'm not a threat, plus my Blazing Archon prevents him from attacking/annihilating me.
Zedruu knocks out Damia from the game over several turns and equips Artisan with Swiftfoot Boots, while sitting at a life total of 80. Ruhan finally gets enough mana to Oblivion Ring the boots so Nath can get rid of Artisan. Zedruu and I then forged a peace treaty, by promising him that I can return his boots when my Soltari Visionary attacks Ruhan in return for harassing the other players. The table gets mad at me since obviously Zedruu is nearly unstoppable. I shrug, "gotta survive somehow." Then it's Nath's turn and he proceeds to Maelstrom Pulse the Artisan of Kozilek. The table rejoices, "no more annihilator after that stupid cataclysm!"
I told Zedruu, "well, I can keep your creature alive..." The table gets really mad while Zedruu is grinning. I then cast Debt of Loyalty... Zedruu's grin disappears and the game went downhill really fast for everyone else shortly afterwards.
This is awesome. Really, I salute the OP! Having just started getting back into the game after 5-6 years of not touching a Magic card, I'm a little fuzzy about how these work. I remember some years back (before 2001 when I stopped playing) there was a combo that you could get to go off infinitely and there was a rule that was created that limited those effects to only 3-4 iterations before the rule kicked in and stopped it. After doing a few keyword searches through the comp rules I couldn't find any such rule. Does this rule exist? Would you really able to channel 4000 mana into a fireball using this combo assuming your opponent was powerless to stop it? Sorry if this is noobish, like I said, I'm just getting back into the swing of things.
I don't recall ever hearing about this rule. If your opponent can't stop it, good game!
I used to run with an old infinite combo with Enduring Renewal, Aluren, and Mogg Fanatic back in the day in a multiplayer game. Fun times
Very true. I can see a UB version with Tezz. Black would give access to hand disruption and some decent spot removal.
Also, as another win-con with the Golem combo, what do you think about Disciple of the Vault? Doesn't require another spell to cast from the infinite mana if he's in play as also has synergy with the rest of the deck.
Also I'm going to throw this out there...Skill Borrower. She's blue, an artifact and can be your Golem or Pili Pala 5x-8x. Especially if we have library manipulation, she could be at least a consideration.

Starting from my right, the decks are: Damia, Sage of Stone; Nath of the Gilt-Leaf; Zedruu the Greathearted; and finally Ruhan of the Fomori. I am running Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker. The board was fairly full and Damia had been dominating the table but after drawing hate, he's shut down. Zedruu then Cataclysm the table. Zedruu keeps his Artisan of Kozilek with Basilisk Collar on it.

Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite won me a multiplayer game also.
Also, Enduring Renewal and Ashnod's Altar and a Phyrexian Walker or Ornithopter will also give you infinite colorless mana.

I +1 the Konda's Banner since I've had great mileage out of it in my Kemba, Kha Regent deck. Didn't like Bushi though...
I added an alternate wincon with Altar of Dementia which can combo with Sun Titan and Angelic Renewal.
To help with the taxation, consider adding Spelltithe Enforcer and Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker.
Finally, one of the best bounce effects for Hokori, Dust Drinker is Tawnos's Coffin.

Skill Borrower is a great idea! She's fetchable with Vedalken Aethermage, Fabricate, and Drift of Phantasms! Excellent ways to thin out the deck and dig for those combo pieces.
The U/B variant is looking pretty strong.
