Vexing Sphinx? There was a duel deck / beatdown box with Coldsnap?
There wasn't a duel deck for Coldsnap. He means that Vexing Sphinx and Frost Raptor have art that combines. The Raptor hangs out on the left side of the glacier while the Sphinx swoops in from the right. Check it:
Of course, there's a little "wing room" between the two but it's a mural for sure.
I'm so souped for Lorwyn; it looks like it's going to be gorgeous. Merrow ftw! I'm glad that I can finally open a booster and not worry about getting less commons for a "futureshifted" uncommon that I can probably get in this set. Normal boosters kthxbai.
I'm thinking #6 is Legacy Weapon because it contains all the elements of it. The others though...besides the ones we know...are very puzzling, especially #9 because...well, I don't even know what the heck it is.
I would absolutely looove a prehistoric set; I've been an avid studier of prehistory for years. If WotC could pull it off flawlessly, it would be the best thing ever. Even if it's not a new plane, they could always to a Dominaria waaaay back before anything major ever happened. As long as they don't add a Kamigawa-blast to it in the sense that there are Dinosaur-folk. I can only imagine...

-Whenever Khar-Raxus would be dealt damage, prevent that damage and put a vulnerability counter on it. Then, if Khar-Raxus has two or more vulnerability counters on it, it loses indestructibility.
-At end of turn, remove all vulnerability counters from Khar-Raxus.

God, if I ever saw something like this I would literally destroy WotC. I'd take all these cards, put some gasoline on them, and give them right back to Wizards. If they keep from this and stick to sweet Dino's, cavemen, and all that are petroglyphs, I will be one satisfied person.
I agree with the others, it looks like Kev Walker's art. Usually the focal point is a bit pasty in color, and the background is even pastier, but that's what I love about it. See Feebleness. Notice how the background is a bit pasty, that's his traditional art style and usually how I recognize him by. It definitly looks like the paste-ish style he does, but who knows?

Meh, Idk...The art is odd, but at least it previews that we'll see someone named Seht sook (hopefully!). As for the abilities, me likey. It works really well in a jiffy and I can see many potential uses for it. Now to get a playset and make a deck from them /greedy.
I was thinking, about the new card types, something along the lines of a Rune. Each one would stay in play until end of turn, and give a small boost for you until then. I.E.:

-Creatures you control have "Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, you may gain 1 life."
I was gonna go with Charms, but I figured there were already enough already made with Charm in the title (and fairly recent) to create a new supertpe for them. For another type, I was thinking of something called Arenas. I.E.:

-When Imposition Dome comes into play, choose a creature you control and a creature you don't control.
-1R,t: Each of the chosen creatures deals damage equal to its power to each other. If a creature is destroyed this way, return Imposition Dome to its owners' hand.
The idea is that an Arena pits two or more creatures against each other, and when a victor arises, the Arena returns to your hand to stick around for another battle. Idk, what do you all think?
The weird thing was, there were other pics from feature articles that seemed out of place, such as one of the Pro Tour winners holding a trophy, and several old cards. I had to dig for Venser. As for the MaRo article, the Future Sight pic was the most recent one, making it odd that it would be chosen. The Laquatus's Creativity pic was the second closest, so I decided just to throw it up there. If anyone finds a different pic that may make sense, post it and tell me how. Usually it doesn't give me this much agony.
EDIT: Yeah, unless MaRo masked the image link, it should be the one of Ixidor on Future Sight. Possibly previewing the Magus of the Future, or maybe a cool Heir to Ixidor?
