Question: Is green the best kind of 12post strictly because of titan? Is eldrazi the only thing 12post is good for?

There are other advantages, but they all center around the fact that green is probably the most consistent at getting Cloudposts into play.

Eldrazi aren't the only thing 12post is good for - I think they're merely the most powerful. Decks like Izzetron in Magic's history have used this type of mana acceleration to power out large, powerful X spells and beaters like Bogardan Hellkite.

It's solid, which in this deck is all you need to beat most decks. And with a Cloudpost-Glimmerpost or GSZ-Dryad Arbor opener, you can get it on turn 2.

I like the machine gun of Haakon and the changeling removal spells, that's something you didn't highlight in the OP. That would seem to give you a decent matchup against Zoo and other creature strategies. One of the most important ways to win with a Rack deck is either tutor effects for The Rack or card draw like Phyrexian Arena or Bob, and I don't see that here.

Edit: wait where is The Rack?

I've discovered a new SB or even MD tech: culling scales.
I haven't tested it yet. But you can thank me by giving me 1$ for each one you play in your deck :D.

Nice tech! I like it! Comes down early, buys plenty of time against Zoo/other aggro while they deal with it. Of course, it hurts the Wall plan, but there's other builds, and it has a slick synergy with Beast Within.

Wow, Bloodbraid Elf HATES Isochron Scepter. On what planet do those two make an agreeable pair? I like Research//Development on a stick, that's some cheat step shenanigans right there, but running Bloodbraid means you don't want counterspells, or any of the good control instants you would normally want in a scepter deck. You might want to consider a Bant version with a Teferi-Silence lock, because "end step Teferi, untap, Scepter-Silence" means game win.

You don't need Twelvepost, you can just play reanimator. Possibly built with a UB control shell, with draw effects like Thirst for Knowledge to dig and discard to enable Goryo's Brokenness. That's a powerful combo, I feel like it just needs a skilled hand at deckbuilding to be competitive.

Windbrisk Heights seems really good in this deck. Likewise Spectral Procession. And those two together are a classic house in white creature decks.

There's a couple corner cases where All is Dust is better, such as when you have an Eye of Ugin in play, but in general I'm beginning to agree on O-Stone. Getting around Gaddock Teeg is pretty solid.

Mana Drain is also banned (in Legacy).

I thought it might, but that's a whole different monster, because it counters any spell and then gives you mana, and the latter function is why it's banned - not because it's a counterspell. Mental Misstep is a situational counter.

Powerful, powerful decks when they go off, but you break their key piece and the whole deck shatters. And surgical extraction is one of the best cards to do that. However I will say obviously if you're running black their are slightly better versions as we know. But if you aren't running black you can obviously use it.

    HURR, Extirpate FTW. 8-B

I know you're new here, but in general using God hands to win arguments always loses arguments. Not only is 12post far more resilient than you claim, but after turn one it's entirely likely Surgical Extraction is invalid. Not to mention rolling with main Surgicals rolls over to aggro, which is what will more likely be everywhere in this format for a while.

I know what basic land subtypes mean, thank you very much.

What I am asking is why can't painlands, for example, also be given basic land types. Their drawbacks aren't inherently better than shocklands or anything. Making shocklands universally better than painlands by restricting the basic land subtype to them seems stupid.

Giving painlands basic land types would increase the supply of usable dual lands without creating any balance problems.

I think what you're trying to suggest is that painlands be given errata/reprints that give them basic land types and an ability like, "Whenever you tap this for colored mana, this deals 1 damage to you." But nobody cares because that's a bad idea and you can't seem to articulate it properly. The Shocklands would still be almost strictly better and with fetches and shocks there's no more room in the mana base. After those first two Zoo runs a few Ghost Quarters and three basic lands. Three!

If your intent is to increase the supply of Shocklands, campaign for a second coming of Chronicles. Make them white-bordered for all I care. It'll improve Wizard's bottom line and help out Johnny Magic. Building a proper Junk deck will run you upwards of $1500 right now. Same for Zoo.

Depends on what you want to do to the deck.

Do you want to nuke it altogether? Cloudpost.

Slow it down enough that it could still be a player - maybe in control, or in a deck dedicated to tutoring the Posts out? Vesuva.

    Give aggro an old-fashioned? Glimmerpost.

I don't buy the argument that Vesuva has applications in other decks. So did Mental Misstep. So did Jace. So would Jitte, etc. That wouldn't stop the banhammer.

Restricted lists are a bad idea in general. They're a very dirty solution to a problem. Vintage has it only because it is the format that, by design, let's you play with any card.

Chaos Orb is still angry at the technical incorrectness of that.

It would be interesting to apply this rule to Modern, though. It's an Eternal format that reaches back to 8th Edition, in a way making it so you can play every card from 8th onward. You could argue that it's similar to Vintage in that way. I think it might be kind of cool to have Vintage Modern (though that is an oxymoron...).

A little much... RG Ponza seems pretty legit, especially with some mana ramp. Detritivore is a nice bit of tech I had completely forgotten about. Might run that in my 12post sideboard now.
