What boggles my mind is that anyone could possibly think that once the Zombie Apocalypse happens your paper dollars are going to be worth anything at all. However, at least me and my cohorts will be able to still play Vintage after we finish Zombie Slaying for the day.
I am not Wizards, but there is no special printing process for boosters destined to go into fat packs as opposed to booster boxes. All boosters are seeded with cards from the same 121-card sheets.
For any large set (like RtR or M13), the rare sheet contains two copies of every rare card and one copy of every mythic card. Once cut up, one card from this sheet will find its way into each of 121 booster packs, which can end up in booster boxes, fat packs, Holiday Gift Boxes, or anywhere else you find sealed Magic boosters without any regard for what is inside.
This is true. However, all packs in a box will come with an even distribution. No one knows if the two groups of packs in fat packs are from the same run or not since one has to have a dice added to it, which is why you can see overlap somewhat frequently.
Anyone else had a problem recently with getting SP cards in instead of NM? The past 2 orders I bought had SP cards in them instead of the NM once I paid for. I didn't worry about the ones I picked up onsite because I needed them for a tourney that day and they were fairly cheap. But I just got my recent order in and I even made a note for them to make sure I get what I paid for and I still ended up with SP cards in my order. This time it is a full set of Pyroblasts and some of the foils I ordered have minor wear also, thankfully its on the back of the foils. I have never had this problem before and its only been in the past few months.
Really think I'm just going to go back to ebay and TCGplayer since at least then I'll save a few bucks when I don't get what I want. I have emailed the customer service email and am awaiting a reply. Will update after I get one. Just wanted to see if its happened to anyone else.
Why do all the oversized cards need to be reserved list?
It doesn't get around the need to have a regular sized copy of said general.
It does and it doesn't. Since it is a casual format most people will allow you to use to oversized general and if it gets tucked just use a card as a proxy for it. I know a lot of playgroups have banned or removed the shuffle your general in ability.
Personally, I think that you should have a normal sized copy and that you should expect your general to get shuffled in. I do like that they printed a foil Queen though as I plan on using her as my general for my 5c Planeswalker Deck. Which I will never cast her in unless to combo off.
I think the sleeves and life counter both suck. However, I do agree with the cards included. I am pretty excited and will be anxious to buy 2-3 copies if I can locate and or win them.
I use Matte back sleeves and I am going to guess these sleeves were made by ultra pro in the same fashion as other mtg marketed sleeves which I dislike their construction.

Sell, for the forseeable future Maverick isn't coming back. Although it does shut down Deathrite so who knows.

You should buy boxes online if your store owner is a dick. Then play at a Library since he isn't taking care of his customer.
Ok I want oversized basic lands that are the same size as current oversized cards they print like the Mimeoplasm.
