ive thought about this... because my group of friends have made a few custom sets to choose from... so it would be cool to have a custom edh deck with cards from our own sets.
not sure if this has been brought up... but what about those that have the card and want to use a sexy full super art permanent proxy? like i plan on making an oversized version of my general that has been custom made in photoshop and printed directly onto the card. (oversized) so that i can make every one jealous when i pull whip it out.
ive talked to the owner of my LGS and he said that archenemy wasnt a big seller so they may skip it in favor of something else. i wouldnt mind having a rotating summer release with plainchase,commander and somthing else (archenemy or no).
i figured i didnt want to muddy they're thread with my junk that slightly resembled nic fit
Drop geist, dungrove, gaea and emissary. Add in birthing pods, a derranged hermit, and a grave Titan. You could also use phyrexian towers, they're brokenly good with explorers. Turn 2 Thrun and the like. Maybe try to fit in another wall of blossoms too.
i like the towers but theyre quite expensive. and i strayed away from pod because of the need for a good chain.
so i started with a nic fit list and started by tossing white which freed up alot budget wise... but i still needed to cut expensive things. so im left with this list.... ive play tested it against UW stoneblade, bant blade, affinity, pox, and zoo. the only matchup i did well at was zoo. odds are that you probably cant even consider it a nic fit deck any more.
i mean in my head this seems pretty legit, but proxied out it fails pretty hard.
does any one have any suggestions?

Gaea's Revenge: it seemed like the list wanted somthing big that it could green sun into late game (seeing as how grave titan isnt green) i have to say i really really enjoy this, i know its probably not optimal but in the current list it feels really good. Viridian Emissary: i felt i wasnt getting veteran explorer as often as i needed so i threw this is to try and supplement....feels bad almost always. dungrove elder very meh... it was added to be almost a second thrun somthing i could get out mid game and not feel bad about. pretty sure this needs to go. strangle root geist: my thinking was... if kitchen finks is useful... and since the deck is turning out to be a bit more agro then normal i can use this... useful... but idk if it really works. Diabolic Intent: im kinda proud of this one, it fills the void of academy rector when dropping white from this list. turn two saccing an explorer feels really good. idk unearth: i saw that many green black lists ran this to try and get more use out of explorer while nightmare is down, seems pretty cool. Maelstrom Pulse: feels pretty bad most times... never get more than one for one with it. just kinda feels like a neutered vindicate

A G/W deck with Walls, Fog, and Karn Liberated. Just keep restarting the game, over, and over, and over, and over...
a friend of mine actualy built this... we named it turbo karn. he takes it to FNM to troll. his goal is to draw every match.
and the funny thing is that if he exiles karn with karn (from his own hand) hes more likely to pull it off again and again and again. and i gotta say... giddeon is the best fog in the format lol.
At my LGS, they call Stoneforge Mystic, cheating whore (as in she cheats things into play) and they call the Sword of Body and Mind, the sword of wolf and mill.
i thought it was pretty clever.
my friends have a list of cards that they have or corrupted in some humorous way...and they tend to use those names when referring to those cards. examples being: pornithopter, unduress, Dr. Oculus, bacon of immortality, and other less appropriate names. lol
Doesn't work that way. The ability on Artisan of Kozilek is put on the stack when the spell is cast, it isn't triggered when being returned to the battlefield from the graveyard. If you copy Evil Twin, Clone, Phantasmal Image, or Phyrexian Metamorph and have it enter the battlefield as a copy of Artisan of Kozilek, you will simply have a 10/9 Eldrazi. The ability will not trigger.
A friend just pointed that out to me. That's really dissapointing.
ive been playing a grimgrin edh for abit and making changes as i figure out what works and what doesnt.
but one thing i do think that is cool is Conspiracy naming zombies.
that with rooftop storm makes every creature in your deck free.
i also run alot of creature recursion. i also run alot of clone cards. my favorite thing to do is drop an Artisan of Kozilek with a few copy spells in my graveyard or in hand. i can use artisan to recur my clone cards as a copy of artisan over and over till i run out. leaving me with several 10/9 eldrazi. but thats more of a secondary thing.
i guess the best way to describe my version of a grimgrin deck is recursion. lots of recursion and such. oversold cemeteryVolrath's Stronghold etc. my main weakness is that im a tad slower than the other aggro deck in my playgroup and that i cant deal with things that the "annoying guy" in my playgroup does. (enchantments mostly, such as hivemind + eternal dominion )
its kind of silly but so far i think its pretty fun to play. and its faster than you would think. i want to work in sylven scrying so i can tutor up Urborg but so far i havent really been in dire need to.

well ive been browsing art websites for mtg art. and came across a few pieces that either arent cards (yet?) or is a completely new art for a certain card. specificaly i found a brand new art for Browse. im just wondering if these are legit commisioned pieces for wizards? ill attach the few that i found
