I'm kind of hesitant to do that. With the list I run, I'm at 24 lands and curve out pretty consistently between 4-5 lands. Casting removal and eot alchemy, think twices, desperate ravings, etc usually leaves me really tight on mana, which is why i prefer cost effective spells like pillar of flame, tragic slip and dispel. Right now I'm only running two dispels to protect the hawk (and a 2x of something in this deck is almost like having 3-4x between alchemy, faithless and desperate ravings) but I instantly realized that mizium skin would be better for protecting a creature, for instance, against dreadbore and detention sphere. I'm also interested in running some hand disruption to stay along the lines of "fill up my gy fast with efficient spells and swing for big t4t/t5 with pike".
I could post my results after I make my tweaks if you're interested.
Mizzium Skin works wonders in my Sideboard. I'd love to see your list.
Since I'm running bant now, I thinking of dropping green and picking up black after GTC release. The bant engine runs really well now, but there are a few cards that I am less than thrilled to play. They have utility, but no zeal. Cards like Abundant Growth and Visionary are necessary for Bant to get going, but I don't like them. I will miss Rancor though.
Rancor is the only spell that really runs well in this. Everything else is a "why not now that I'm playing green."
Tried it out with grixis colors. Nighthawk is really fun with pike, if he stays alive for a few turns he just runs away with it. Probably not nearly as good as bant colors, but still fun nonetheless.
...Grixis? Seems AWESOME. I dunno about Nighthawk though... I mean, if you do that, you need to run counterspells (for fear of removal). Could work.
If you built a bit around it, Silver-Inlaid Dagger could be great here. Making your Stalker swing for 4 and a flipped Delver can hit for 6. It also becomes reusable compared to auras and requires no splash being colorless. I made a video and decklist for Modern a while ago using that concept Here if you're interested. A number of the cards I had in this list transition to Standard as well.
I mean, it's not bad, but I feel like Runechanter's has that late-game punch that that simply doesn't have
I've tested this extensively as I run a Bant variant in the meta currently. It's extremely volatile. Using green for ramp and Thrags mostly. In my thread I just started before I saw this primer...*cough* (my bad). I talk about some of the great synergies. Hexproof is just a house! The inclusion of white does significantly increase the cost of the deck as Geist of Saint Traft is now auto-include. But some very powerful enchantments like Blind Obedience, makes this a very nasty possible combo. Also allows nice removal with Detention Sphere and Oblivion Ring. Right now, this is the way I think my deck is going to go, Ghost Dad is too powerful even as a 2-of to not include in the build too. Ethereal Armor is such a house because it's for each enchantment. 2 of those online on a hexproof creature is desperate need for a board wipe. Working on a nice recursion package as well, which is why i think that black will replace green in the deck right now.
Honestly, white seems very on-par for this deck. I'll change the title to U/X/x Stalker.
EDIT: Also, I call my deck "Fat Ghosts" (Invisible/Unblockable, enchantments make them 'fat'... you get it). I nominate that for the official deck name... thoughts?
Oh, wow, that's actually not bad. I support a red splash. I'll do some testing later tonight, can somebody do some on Lackey or Cockatrice or something? After I test it a bit I'll add it to the primer.
Anything for two mana that doesn't give +2/+2 and another significant ability is actually pretty bad. That means Volcanic Streangth, Pursuit of Flight, Bonds of Faith. The others aren't terribad. I'm surprised I didn't know about Predator's Gambit, that's pretty good.

No
Don't do that
Rancor is so good
(or are you talking about dropping green?)
It's a very different deck than ours. We won't run Green, or so many creatures. They're a midrange deck, and we're aggro.

But most of us aren't running Esper...
I think it's Geist.

You have GOT to stop misspelling card names. What is it?

I've got a guy working on that, but thanks for the offer. Will someone test a white splash? I'll post my deck when I get home.
The list looks fine, but you need Stromkirk.
