I started playing the AGoT LCG last night, it is a lot of fun!

I went 3-1 in Legacy this week, not bad. Could have gone 4-0, but lost to a mull-to-5-keep-terrible-hand in game 3 of round 4. Oh well!

Today is my first day off in forever, yet I still have to work for 4.5 hours at my LGS - it's my last shift there though, quit on Tuesday.

I have never played Mafia before, but I have a feeling it is similar to a game we used to play in Drama in high school.

1-3 in Legacy last night, which was just so incredibly disappointing. I tilted hard after I misplayed horribly vs. Elves (totally blanked when he cast a Glimpse and just said "yep" forgetting I had drawn a Force with a blue spell in my hand). My Bant list is becoming more and more consistent with the addition of 2 Savannahs, a Tundra, a Vendilion Clique, and an Elspeth.

At the GP in Brisbane in October we get 2 (!!!) Legacy events, as well as a Vintage event, which is super awesome! The prizes for Legacy are nuts too;

1st - Moat (English)
2nd - Grim Tutor
3rd - 4th - Jace, The Mind Sculptor
5th - 8th - Force of Will

Got lots of goodies from Modern Masters, and it's been lots of fun to draft. Hoping to draft it some more when I have money next week. At the moment I'm looking at three decks for Modern - Dark Master Affinity, UR Faeries, and Bant Maverick. I'm leaning towards Faeries because I love the tempo shell and it looks like so much fun!

Sorry for not being around, I have been crazy jetlagged and sick. Starting back at work has been hectic too, hopefully my body gets the act together soon so life can get back to normal!

3-1 in Legacy on Tuesday with The Gate. Hadn't played it in a while, it was fun! I started picking up some stuff for a Vintage brew, too.

I need to edit photos from my trip and start making some art again! Getting back into the swing of applying for grants and exhibition is hard!

I head back to Australia tonight, so I promise I'll be more active after Sunday!

Sorry I haven't been around. There is a lot to see in Stockholm. I've been to about ten museums, drunk a lot of beer, seen a lot of squirrels. I'll try to keep y'all updated!

I went 3-1, 1-2-1, and 2-2 in my Prereleases. Got some nice stuff - happy to grab 2 Obzedat's Aid, 2 Plasm Capture and a Blood Baron of Vizkopa before they shoot up in price. Also got a Godless Shrine and a Skylasher. And that Voice of Resurgence thing.

DGM is a really fun limited format. I look forward to drafting it!

I leave for Europe on Saturday morning, so I will be MIA for around three weeks. I am super nervous but super excited.

Sorry I haven't been around much, I've been so busy with the WMCQ weekend, work, getting ready for overseas...

I went 3-4 in the WMCQ with Selesnya Humans. It was a fun deck, but Junk Reanimator is a terrible matchup for me and I played against four on the day. I was doing well on 3-2 until I was paired against the guy that won the PTQ the previous day. Oh well.

I played Enchantress last night in Legacy for the first time in a long while. What a fun deck! I cut fetches and shocks and it is so much more consistent, somehow. I also bought a Spanish Replenish - $18! @___@

Are any of you playing Prereleases this weekend? I will probably play 3-5, depending on money.

I have started back at work now, it's tough with my hands all mangled-looking still... people keep asking me what happened and it's awkward trying to explain it without them thinking I'm some kind of contagious leper. Should be all cleared up in the next few days, though. Thankfully I have a weekend off work this weekend, so I can let it completely clear up.

Pretty much. I did a count of the mouth ulcers it's caused today - thirty. I have thirty mouth ulcers. Kill me now.

In other news, here is a modern deck I am trying to brew, based off an old Legacy developing deck I found. Please give me help, it goldfishes alright but I want it to be competitive.



Basically the gist is unfair interactions between multiple Painsmith and Glaze Fiend triggers, and also being able to turn 1 Salvage Titan. It can be kind of inconsistent and I don't know what it needs... the colours definitely need to be reconsidered, as well as some artifact choices. I think a transformational sideboard to turn it into a straight affinity aggro deck would be fun, too. Maybe Arcbound Ravager is needed?

Sorry I haven't been posting lately. I'm pretty sick at the moment and not doing much - I somehow contracted a horrifying illness known as HFMD (I guess I didn't have it when I was a kid) and I can't even leave the house until next Thursday. So I probably won't be around much until next week when I'm feeling better.

JJ, that list looks awesome. I am definitely going to try that out, Ponza is one of my favourite archetypes!

$58 each seems pretty good. I think they will go down a little bit when the Innistrad block rotates from Standard but they are such a huge Modern and Legacy staple that they always will sit around $20. I bought mine at $27 each, but Australian pricing is the worst.

It goldfishes pretty smoothly, I'm going to run some matches tomorrow before work at my LGS and see how it goes. Thankfully the event isn't for a few weeks so I can work out the kinks before it, such as removing the Tempered Steel shell and going for the Erayo or Ravager shell.

I'm thinking I already need to cut 2 Plains and an Inkmoth for 3 Glimmervoid.
