Currently flirting with the idea of a swiftblade//dervish. For someone new to roleplaying with me that likely makes your skin crawl, but I have attempted this particular build more times than I can count only for a campaign to fizzle, plus I manage to make broken ideas tolerable and when i tryu and make somethign tolerable it ends up broken. Caex can testify to this.

I thought about dread necro//anything, but that would be dumb to place a necro in a party with an undead hater.

ASA, can I use the Sage class that's floated around the Inn for ages?

Those books are certainly worthy of literary merit, even though they may or may not be enjoyable to read. (I havent read them) They were both optional readings for my university course, so that at least assures that they aren't chaff.

Life is really up-and-down. I have to see a counsellor because apparently I have anxiety, which sucks. On the other hand I may have a date, so it evens out. :/

If the date goes well enough, the anxiety will be a thing of the past.

This is only tangently related to reading, but has anyone ehre gotten their hand son an iPad? I keep staring at them when I end up in a store, but I don't want to spend all of that cash on a tablet only to find out that not enough books are in digital form or that they are terrible to read on one.

I simply have ran out of physical space to store books. I either need to upgrade my living quarters in the near future or buy a digital reader.

  • posted a message on Staff in turmoil?
I can only echo the sentiments of my fellow staff members in here. The staff, for far too long, had been simply existing with the intent of maintaining the status quo. We weren't taking strided to move forward and we weren't fixing problems with due haste. A lot of the staff changes listed are due to a renewed effort to make these forums the best they can be while being ran by the best staff we can produce. It's only natural that a transition like what we are going through produces noticeable changes; including a sizeable shift in the staff's roster.

There's nothing to worry about. The changes you are noticing are a sign of something good.

I have a UFC show I am covering tomorrow and some schoolwork to do, but I should be able to start work on character creation on Sunday.

It will be fun to get back into one of your horror campaigns.

  • posted a message on [Aramil] Path of the Walker.
Aramil did not fight the images as they came to him. For the first time in ages, the let the memories he'd repressed wash over his mind and flood him with conflicting waves of nostalgia and pain.

The soft feel of his wife's touch after a hard day in the fields and conflicted with the pain of seeing her killed by those barbarians.

The feeling of acquiring his connection to mana conflicted with the memory of Barrin's betrayal.

The feeling of finding the Tenth Guild conflicted with the terror of seeing it threatened by an unknown enemy.

Aramil allowed the multitude of memories to come and go. After a time, a time that will be lost to the ages, Aramil relaxed. He was no longer conflicted. He had focus. He knew what he needed to do.

"I need to get home." Aramil repeated aloud, and the air around him began to swirl.

As Xen walked, the pounding of the heartbeat began to fill his senses. The sound sent shivers down his pine, the flashes of color becoming almost blinding.

This is an intention to create a character post, should that final spot be available down the line.

I'll read up on everyone and through the campaign thread and see if I can make something that would be fun for me to create but would still work well with the world you are all creating.

If you're up for a player over the limit I am all for a good gestalt horror campaign, but I fully respect the fact that I am late to the party on this one.

It was a joke man, you know me well enough to know that, no need for ill tone. I'm the one who put "Being an Admin, he only has time for an occasional bathroom break" in your Bio.
    :p

This is why I don't think I could ever do what all you guys do.
I think obligation would take away the fun of posting at a forum. Slant

Kpimpsta' - Why you gotz no Mod title? Just a non-offical Gutt thing? Eyebrow

J'eds - Oh.. looks like we got the same question in the batcave.

I saw the Fleet Foxes last summer in Massey Hall. Great show, and they are fantastic live.

I am actually surprised that other people on this forum like Fleet Foxes, no one at my school even knows they exist. :monty:

Fleet Foxes? I'll have to look them up, I always enjoy expanding my musical exposure. Any particular songs I should seek out?

Radiozero is taking a month off for having 3 active infractions.

Upon review, Radiozero has a career record of ten warnings and twenty-two infractions. Due to this record, and this being his third suspension, we have elected to make this suspension a permanent ban.

Xen did not have to extend his senses far to "see" the source of the heartbeat. As the thudding rang though the air, Xen could see pulses of green and then black washing over the walls of Svogthos. They were faint, but they were perfectly timed with the heartbeat Xen could feel and hear.

    Green. Black.
    Green. Black.
    Green. Black.
    Green. Black.

The beat echoed on as Xen searched, beckoning his attention.
