Out of the five figureheads, I like Oloro the best, with Prossh a close second. But there are 5 other 3 colored commanders to be spoiled, as well as I think there will be 5 bi-colored commanders as well. Last time we had Edric, Bassandra, Skullbriar, Nin, and vish-kal. So if I had to guess, we'll see :symw::symu:, :symu::symb:, :symr::symg:, :symw::symg:, :symr::symb: legendaries as well.
Hey everyone, I have been following this thread for a while and made myself a rakdo deck wins for an event next week, and I wanted your opinions on it.
Play testing has gone well for me too. The deck does well against pretty much almost every deck I face, and although I am undefeated in matches so far, I have lost a few games in certain matches and a bunch of my wins are very, very hard fought. For example, I was playing a GW midrange deck that dropped an Amrada Wurm on me, and the only way I won was by stealing it with Zealous conscripts and swinging for game. Before I get into more issues, here is my deck list:
Here are my questions:
Stromkirk Noble- What do people think about him? From what I can tell, the general consensus is that he is better than Vexing Devil in this deck, but he has not performed for me yet. I only seem to get him late game, and at that point he is doing minimal damage and/or is used to chump block an incoming Armada Wurm. My initial thought is I should try to dig for hands that start off with him, but idk.
Thundermaw Hellkite vs. Zealous Conscripts- Simple question, whihc one has worked better for you in the mainboard? For me, I never freaking draw the dragon, and every time I mainboard Zealous, I have her and she wins me the game that turn. I'm probably going to stick with Zealous, but I'm curious to see what others think.
Those are my main two. Any other input is more than welcome!
If i was to take a guess, Garruk, Primal Hunter, Jace, Memory Adept, and Chandra, the Firebrand will be reprinted, while an Ajani 3.0 and a Liliana 3.0 will be printed.
My friend used to run a Kuldotha red deck back when Zendikar was in standard with Contested warzone. The only reason being he would constantly win on turn three, between Kuldotha rebirth, Goblin Guide, Goblin Bushwhacker, Memnite, Ornithopter, ect and the warzone would add so much damage. Probably since there isnt any fast aggro like that anymore.
Or maybe because its just not that good either lol.
Might as well add it to the lst of blue Mythics under a dollar, along with Quicksilver Gargantuan, Time Reversal, Cast Through Time, and Lorthos, the Tidemaker lol
At first I was gonna say that it was an alternate to 2012, but then Liliana and Ajani showed up. If they make a new version for Liliana and Ajani, that'd be really cool.
I mean think about it, Chandra, Jace, and Garruk all have 3 versions of themselves. Ajani and Liliana only have 2. They might use Memory Adept, Primal Hunter, and Firebrand again in M13 and create a new Ajani and Liliana
Im saying Avacyn or Griselbrand as the new walker in roll. If there is a second new one, I'm gonna say it is the other (Griselbrand or Avacyn). With that excerpt on the lake with the sea monsters in Gavony, I wouldn't be suprised if Kiora turned up either. I do not think Ral Zarek will be in the set, and I do not think that any characters mentioned on cards (such as Ludevic) will be walkers either. Kiora, Griselbrand, Avacyn.
As for returning walkers, we already know SORIN is in DKA. People seem to forget this fact. If there was to be a second returning walker in Roll, I do not see what relation Ajani has to any of the planeswalkers in the set. Walkers thta would make sense story-wise would be Jace because of his past relationship with Liliana and his conflicted friendship with Garruk, Nissa because she is hunting down Sorin for leaving Zendikar to die, or someone related to Bolas because he always seems to get his hands in things
I have thought this through a lot, and here are all of my theories on upcoming planeswalkers:
Sorin Markov: We all know he is a definite for Dark Ascension. If that isn't enough, a card called Markov Patrician was spoiled the other day and Markov is one of the 4 main vampire bloodlines in Innistrad.
Nissa Revane: Nissa is tough to tell. She did get new art and she does have a connection to Sorin. I do not think she will be in this block though because story-wise, it doesn't make sense. Nissa leads the Joraga Clan on Zendikar which is currently in a planar-war against the Eldrazi. I highly doubt Nissa would leave her elves to die. I actually wouldn't be suprised if she wound up dying on Zendikar.
Ajani Goldmane: An Ajani 3.0 is another possibility seeing that wizards mentioned recently that Ajani would be back in the future with "a burning vengenace." Plus game codes were found on DotP2012 and his deck had Innistrad cards in it, so we'll see.
Kiora Atua: If you were to look at some of the lands in Innistrad (such as Clifftop Retreat,) it seems as if Innistrad has a big and dark ocean that could be home to many leviathans and sea monsters, possibly being led my a Merfolk Planeswalker. But I think that she is more likely to show up in Ravnica 2.0, where Simic colors will probably exist.
Ral Zarek: I am more than certain that he will show up in Ravnica 2.0, based upon his steam-punk Izzet looks.
Avacyn: I think that the archangel, Avacyn, beloved by the humans on Innistrad, will return as a planeswalker in this block. Why? Well Wizards said that she "mysteriously" dissapeared, and I will post a link of a picture of her at the bottom of this post that definitely looks like Planeswalker Art.
2) The other 5 Tri-colored lands from Shards of Alara like Cumbling Necropolis and Savage Lands.

Although I'd love to see Unmake be reprinted!
AVR will already be released by the time this comes out. If anything, it will be a land from the set coming in September
