I honestly don't mind people proxying. The way I see it, I want to face the best possible deck that person can conceive. It'll be a shame if financial reasons prevent him or her from playing what they want.

Also personally, I tend to proxy cards I own but need duplicates of in other decks.

Yes but they're not draft specific like the other cards. Conspiracy utilizes a zone that originated in Commander so I'm not sure how they're not allowed in a Commander game.

What are some thoughts on how to use the new card type? Will groups count them as a card out of the 100 limit? Will there be limits on the amount a player can play?

Cards like Worldknit seem busted in 5 colors...all your mana is secure.

I will probably have a house rule where artifact enchantment destruction can target conspiracy cards (assuming no card comes out that interacts with them.)

If you're on the play it's frequently correct to actually T1 Mainphase Entomb, rather than EoT it, assuming you have a reanimation effect.

Right, so your Entomb can't get dazed, pierced, flustered etc..

Has anybody a Video-Link to the latest Star City Games Open, where Robert Cucunato made the 3rd Place with Reanimator?

But then what if they have something like Faerie Macabre or Tormods Crypt etc. ? I guess it's always better to play around counter spells VS. grave hate when faced with the option of both.

Well looks like the latest Starcity Legacy tournament had a reanimator deck that played a total of 6 discard spells between main and side. 4 MD Thoughtseize FTW!

If I were you I'd cut the blazing archon and jin. You could keep the blazing archon in the side to bring in against merfolk and sneak n show i suppose

I was thinking maybe -1 Gitaxis and 1 Griselbrand if I am to go with 7 creatures. I like how Archon is gg against those two Archetypes that have little to no way to remove him from the field. (At least in the MB)

And thanks, I guess it's just Cockatrice being Cockatrice. I just want to play out a full game to know what outs exist for what decks and how to generally win from there. Even today I played 4 games and each game my opponent scooped lol.

I still wouldn't recommend archon main: reanimator is just a faster deck than sneak and show because all of our spells are so much cheaper. There's no need for archon if they're dead already. For fish, it's amazing, but I don't like to have a concession to only one deck in my main.

I would also advise against cuttin a griselbrand. Having four may seem redundant but it makes our careful study's so much stronger.

I added back in the Griselbrand and sided the Archon for now to good results. Never had a match yet where I needed the Archon to begin win, but I'll keep in in the SB just in case.

What are people's thoughts on maining 4 Thoughtseize? Are Show and Tell's really necessary? I haven't been running them and in their place I use Thoughtseize for more control.

I ran Ashen Rider in my Karador build. It was great in a pod chain/reanimator deck but for this I'm not really considering it.

Also, how do you run an 8 drop creature out early in non green? And, I guess I don't get what you mean when you say late game, its a 'win condition with upside if your opponents happen to get rid of it.' If my opponent kills Ashen Rider, how is it still a win condition?

Thanks for suggesting, I'm just not really trying to run her right now.

Sorry, I should have been a bit more clear. As Bigbearlyke said, artifact ramp can get Ashen Rider out fairly quickly. That and having consistent land drops via things like Tithe and Land Tax, if you're into those sorts of things.

Previously you were referring to how you have your win condition be a few of your high CMC creatures, so I was thinking Ashen Rider can be yet another one of those. It has evasion and while not the most powerful card in terms of P/T, your opponents will be reluctant to get rid of him.

And as for people tucking/exiling it, that's only if your opponent has those cards. You have counters available yourself.

I just think it's an awesome card and have had a lot of great results with it personally.

What I suggest is have a "sideboard" of about 10-15 cards that transforms your deck from the way it is now to a more casual variant without the combos and instant win cards. I do this with the Varolz deck I have: the main deck contains all the usual suspects (Berserk, Hatred, Tainted Strike etc) for the instant win and the "sideboard" removes those and replaces them with some ramp and fatties to make the deck play a little different.

Any deck that you pick is good to start with (in legacy), as long as you stick with it, the best way to be good at legacy is to know your deck better than anyone else. I don't know exactly what your question is trying to get at if that's not what you mean.

I see, I was just asking if this is considered a tier 1 deck. I started playing with it today on Cockatrice and I do have a question:

Is it advisable to concede as soon as someone summons a Griselbrand? I summoned him a few times and my opponent immediately conceded...I understand the obvious power level he is, but is the game really unwinable once someone gets him out? I say this because each time I summoned him I was at very low life.

Also is this creature package decent: 4 Griselbrand, 1 Iona, 1 Ashen Riden, 1 Elesh Norn, 1 Blazing Archon, 1 Jin-Gitaxis

Is this a good deck for someone to start with in Legacy? It seems that the archetype hasn't been doing very well at all lately.

They're all viable actually... common complaint for reanimator is that it can win turn 2 which is highly depend on your luck.

I'm guessing turn one Entomb followed by a Reanimate targeting Iona? Thanks for the replies, I think I'll give Reanimator a shot first and see how I like it.

By the way, is Varolz considered a competitive general, moreso than some of the popular 1v1 generals?

I play Doran personally and I love him. However, it depends entirely on what you want to play. Doran makes a GREAT rock deck (which is what I play), but as you mentioned, Varolz has great potential to be explosive. Personally, I like the addition of white in Doran, as exile is hugely helpful in my meta. I also like how Doran messes with some combat tricks, especially helpful if you see a lot of +X/+0 as in red decks. You could also just try building both if you have the cards for them already and seeing which one is more enjoyable.

Here is an awesome decklist for Doran if you want a fast deck with lots of pressure and this one seems a great one for Varolz, if you haven't seen them yet.

Thanks, I tried the Varolz deck on Cockatrice and have been having pretty good results, but as was aforementioned the white in Doran can be especially helpful with the best removal spells. I love how Varolz can win out of no where though.

What about Ashen Rider? I think that card complements what you're trying to do. You can run it out early to remove a problem, and later in the game it can be a win condition with upside if your opponents happen to get rid of it.
