kpaca can you walk me through the thoughts behind the push on wisp?

What percentage was mechanics and what percentage would you say was independently finding him scummy?

Did you expect his flipless claim to be truthful or a lie, and how did that play into your read on the slot?

How has his death affected your outlook on the others pushing/defending him?

I could; and I might later, but I’m not right now.

None of it was mechanics based though.

    Huh

Any time I have seen "post less guys" thrown out the justification has ALWAYS been "it's bad for town to have too many posts to drown in"

I've actually used the tactic of drowning the thread out as scum before (granted, I was teamed with another high-posting player, but still) so I can see where that comes from

Don't think I've seen "I want to read less" as the main justification before

    first time for everything!

Wait so you think all his reads are bad and he scum read townies? How come do you know that?
no. That’s not even close to what I said lol.

You said you don't like the idea to consider the ZDS's reads. Why is that? Do you think he was so wrong?

I don’t like the way you proposed it.

Seems like a good way to not take the blame for mislynches.

Now that is a question with no answer because it's so dependent on context

However, when it comes to "X thing is bad for the town" and then doing X, that's generally less likely to come from someone whose mindset is genuinely focused on advancing the town

Most town hypocrisy tends to center on themselves and their own actions rather than being a general "this is bad for the gamestate" thing that they then perpetuate

you’re conflating me not wanting to sift through a lot of useless posts with me thinking more posts is bad for the town.

    Those aren’t the same thing.

Looking at one particular post and using that to figure out someone's alignment

In your case, looking at 2355 and determining this post never comes from scum would be a microread. idk how that fits into the wider context of your feelings on rhand as I haven't read them, but I use that kind of reasoning a lot (which is admittedly exploitable but hey) and I don't really see anything from either of those that paints him as definitively non-scum for making them

I can say he probably isn't the other SK from that tho

Well that seems like a weird statement to make.

I wouldn't give out a townread for this, seen it before, and as the microreads guy I don't see how 2355 comes from nonScum as opposed to merely nonSK? I have no context on the rest of rhand but I'd like to hear where these microreads are coming from because neither is at all unfakeable

I have no idea what a microread is friendo

Sorry for the delay everyone. Blah, blah, blah holiday.

The Ampharos soup has gotten luke warm. Flavor never fully developed.

Just going to post some notes I made:

    Pg44:

Everyone doing a lot of set up gaming in a game where the rules explicitly say don’t bother. Tom especially seems all in on this. Are we sure he isn’t a SK?

Stinky joe first one to call this out (2193). Probably town.

    Pg45:

I like that rhand forgot who he was replacing and then tried to read the guy who’s slot he took.

    Pg46:

Rodemys rage (2252) feels completely contrived.

What is GooLagoon even doing? Like.....what purpose do any of their posts serve?

Also not a huge fan of WMUs suggestion that we maybe follow zds scum list(2307). Reaaaally not a fan.

Stinkyjoes frustration reads more natural to me than Rodemy’s.

    Pg48:

Rhand is town. What kind of scum makes post 2355?

Trisscar seems……………absolutely useless to the town?

    Kill power I think.

Why is she your top suspect?

let it marinate just a little longer. I prefer not to blow a bunch of smoke unless I can provide some fire.

    And I’m not poisoned.

Tbh did not know deadline was today either because I always lose track of time in these long day phases as shown in prison. A couple of these votes on Konan are just bad if she flips town and just plain bussing if scum also.

    Hey there fake townie mcscummypants!

I decided to take a page out of Konan’s handbook and post my thoughts in page-bursts as I catch up. It seems pretty convenient.

    Pages 23 – 27:

Lol what? Why? I’m not seeing why that’s the conclusion you’re drawing. Fair assessment, and I picked up that’s what you meant. But why is it scummy to you?
What does it mean in regards to Goo and Axel for Ter? How does Axel’s claim affect that?
I remember asking you something similar to this re: Axel/Ter/Me, which you never addressed either.Oddly defensive of you, buddy. Hm. Better. Look back on this later.

...he claimed because Goo guessed his role, not because of pressure, did you seriously miss that?

    Okay, time for a test.
Kpaca, look at these two posts:
I want you to tell me any possible alternative interpretation of those gifs that aren’t what tom said they are. One per is fine, but more are preferable.

Prove that you actually think these are “wildly open to interpretation.”

    If you can’t do that:
-If you’re scum, we look back on this later along with other behavior we noticed and roast you.
-If you’re town, hopefully that will knock you the **** off this ridiculous tunnel. Name a single one of those reasons that isn’t “he’s not answering my one question.”

You can’t analyze your wagon and then skip a player in that wagon’s reasoning for being in that wagon. That’s just not a thing. So a lot of nothing, kay.
Regarding the bolded: Exactly what were you implying with “I have no idea where he stands on any of the players he made his posts about” then? Be specific.

@all: I’m not sure if this is a thing so I need other’s opinions: Isn’t Dork’s volume in his towngames a lot higher?
The last game were he was posting this sparsely and with (comparatively) short was Prison.

ftr, I don’t see the tmi’ng town-tom. The rest of your case...I’ll talk more about later.
How do you feel Konan’s handled the pressure on her as a result of this push?

What particular advantage do you feel there is in her engaging with you directly? Will that help her read you correctly in your opinion?
In the past, I’ve found that staying out of direct interaction with the one you’re reading and instead observing them and discussing them with others results in more objective results. Have you had a lot of experience playing with Tom? What are you basis this statements? “Of all players” meaning what? Hm. Check back on this later.

I believe this is the first time you mention Konan (and shadow too, I think?)
    Why Konan?

Hm. I can agree with this as a reasonable assessment of my passivity so far. Prior experience. I pretty much scumread and tunneled him in a prior game for acting exactly as he is now and this time I want to take my time instead.

Font, you’re a married woman. Stop thinking about me in bed. “which, as Sloth pointed out as his reason to scumread him, Rod had not been doing previously in this game” should be the correct ending to that sentence, fixed it for you. Seriously, I wrote a long post detailing this very thing.

What you’re seeing in #883 is my legitimate, emotional reaction to Rod accusing Dork of being scum over his guess of Axel as desperado, which is the sort of nonsense I expect from t!Rod that I wasn’t seeing prior to #658, which is why I said I needed to step back and remove myself and see what he did.

In my experience, Rod as town does this ‘thing’ where he seems to be able to pick out scum with reasonable success (Prison, Matter), but his reasons for it are ridiculous and shouldn’t actually be seen as reasons by anyone. I can’t tell if somehow there’s a method to his madness, or if it’s just blind luck.
There are legitimate reasons that Dork can be scum...but they are not remotely connected to the desperado guess lol. Why? Then why did you? Or why not just delete it prior to posting?

    VAIMES?!

I need you to clarify what you’re saying here exactly.

Last, why haven’t you answered this? Or a lot of things directed at you? You’re playing a very uninvested game. Can you go over again why Kpaca for you?

One of these slots is probably scum.

somehow I missed this in my posts last night.

So the first one I literally had no idea, because I could tell harry was splashing the water surface it looked to me like he was swatting at bubbles and then swimming. I had no idea what that meant.

The butcher knife I interpreted as “kill zds” but it apparently meant sharpen knives behind curtains? Yeah. Totally self evident gifs *rolls eyes*

As for toms behavior; refusal to show active interest in explanatory scum hunt, refusal to answer questions , refusal to explain things, and overall obstinance combined into one package is not exactly the most townie of mindsets in my book.

My only takeaway about konan is her response. Attacking axel for being a neutral to ignore the points completely, rolling with fontis shadow meta, etc
    Its very "cornered"

@triss how much of the konan pushes have you seen? Does it matter who they came from?

@kpaca it was still a stupid question
    Tell me about kj

@sloth i actually think this is the best ive been able to explain my method of reading you. Did you miss the other posts?

    Part A: Nah I don’t think so.

Part B: Let’s talk about KJ tomorrow.
