Are any other devotion decks making an appearance other than U or R? I'm curious if the Bow and Whip will make an appearance in Constructed Standard decks and not just Limited Draft.
Makihito Mihara is devoted to Green, and he's top of the standing.
CFB still has Stark, Wrapter, Kibler, LSV, Ocho, and PV, and 4 of those members are on the newly released Top 25 players list. That said, it is an impressive team.
Not to mention Shuhei, Juza, Yuuya & GerryT. They also have EFro and maybe Shenhar.
Well, I think CFB still has the edge when it comes to team.
EDIT: And Conley! Why will I forget the master brew-er,
I have been playing as long as you and my experience is different. Magic players at larger events are hostile and aggressive towards people they dont know. Heaven forbid it be your first tournament. Hell I saw a table flip at a pre-release party for M14. You can be offended all you want. I have seen things 10 times worse done to players during an event then was done to Todd out of the play area and nothing even said to them.
You have a very, very bad area to play Magic, I tell you.
I can live with these rules changes. But I am still confused on the land rule changes. New legend rule may be a good thing but could be confusing for a while, the new sideboard that makes me uneasy. Our old/current sideboard is already in good structure, so what gives?
Great news to everyone! LSV will sit down for the coverage/commentary tomorrow. LSV confirmed it himself in his facebook page. He's been great (if not the best) commentating during PTGTC, so another coverage with him will surely make the games more interesting.
I am rooting for wrapter to win it all. PoY, USA team captain, and hopefully a Pro Tour champ, now that's one hella achievement in one big event. That said he needs to blitz his way to the trophy tomorrow. Team CFB delivers yet again in Pro Tour.
If only I am in US/Canada right now, I would submit something like this:
CARD NAME: Contamination
You can't play lands.
When Contamination enters the battlefield, destroy target land.
At the beginning of you opponent's upkeep, he or she may reveal the top cards in his or her library until he or she reveals a land card, then put those cards into his or her graveyard. Otherwise, your opponent can't play lands [that/this] turn.
Anyway, the card itself shouts for advantage. I think midrange decks could use its advantage among any decks. Jund, for sure, could be good? I don't know. Needs playtesting.
Rakdos is more interesting. Not maindeck-able, but it is actually a very good sideboard card. It hoses various decks, and that's what you want anyway in a sideboard.
Selesnya, hands down, for maindeck charm.
As for the others, they're reasonable, but not as playable as these two.
