Been there done that. IMO Lovisa is more fun than Urabarabarabarask. List is in my sig I think, and it's got half of a primer thing. Lovisa is actually pretty good. she makes most games into "wrath or die" situations.
Normally I think anyone who concedes to stop their opponent from doing something is a massive dbag, but in this case, he was doing it to stop a player who was comboing out, so IMO it's totally acceptable.
1) Should it be a legal action to leave the game for the sake of preventing a trigger from occuring? Please back up your response to.
IMO it depends on what you're preventing. In your example the conceding player gave the other players a turn to stop the combo, which seems pretty legit, but some people concede just becasue someone Desertion'd their PTitan. However, whether or not it should be doesn't matter because it is.
2) I'm curious, has this happened in other gaming circles? How did you handle it? What were the outcomes? How was it received by the players participating?
Not a trigger, but a player who was Bribery'd conceded so that a Riku player couldn't combo out and win. Nobody was particularly mad, because he was stopping an infinite combo from going off, and he was giving everyone else a chance to continue playing. The Riku player was a little mad, but that was just because his combo was messed up. He would have been just as upset if it had been countered.
No, Academy is head and shoulders better, and in this format, I think Cradle is better too. Library would be the third best land if it were legal. But being expensive and going in every deck doesn't warrant banning in this format. Mana Crypt says hi, and somehow the format is fine and healthy.
Big difference between $70 and $250, and you can bet that if Library were unbanned it would get up to at least $300.
I think Library should be unbanned, but that's a bad argument.
I would suggest Radha, Heir to Keld. She comes down early, beats, and gives you extra mana for more creatures. She's also in two great colors for aggro.
That or a Zo-Zu deck packed with burn and X spells.
Hm, sounds like Ghave is a good alternative to the overused Sharuum. And to think, I didn't buy Ghave's Commander preconstructed deck because using Saprolings would get you laughed at back when I started playing around Fallen Empires.
you know what i meant, though you are right i shouldnt be throwing round the word targeted on this forum
its not just mono green though, G/x decks as well. and lets be honest, are you really going to kill lands of someone who isn't the hideous ramp-threat that green is?
I play Titan in Vorinclex and Sasaya, so yes, I will. Frequently.
Wrong, outside a dedicated blue artefact deck, blue has no need of this strategy. White or red do need it. A recursuve creature that hurts 3 color decks is good. the afinity with artefacts in those colors are all the more beneficial.
You're nearly incoherent, so I'll just state things and hope I'm addressing what you're saying.
Blue can abuse Titan a fair bit, although not as well as blue-black.
Red and white have the most LD out of any color. Why do they need the support more than other colors?
By those colors, I'm assuming you mean RW..... They have less ways to abuse it than Black and Blue. Also red has two tutors, and white has one. Seems bad.
Up to 10 lands, and if there's 50 lands in play in a 5 player game (not uncommon), that's not a back-breaking play by a long shot.
I wouldn't know since I typically don't go over 3 (Except with Emperor).
Terastodoncan punish multicolor decks over mono. If you only have a handful of lands fixing your colors at the moment and Terastodon nukes them, you're effectively screwed. Have fun with your 3/3 tokens.
True, true. I do have fun with those tokens though....
does the banning of sundering titan justify the banning of aura shards? same logic, same sick denial and we all know the saffi eriksdottersun titan guy
Aura Shards doesn't prevent people from casting the cards in their deck (Which were put in their deck, presumably because they wanted to play them.). If all mana sources were artifacts...
What makes this different from terastadon? I mean seriously when I cast it, i always hit the ramp player with all three targets (and most multi color decks are three color anyway).
What a silly question.
Terastodon destroys any land. Terastodon is colored. Terastodon give ELEFUNS. Terastodon doesn't activate on etb AND ltb. Terastodon destroys (maybe) 3 lands. Titan destroys 10. Terastodon doesn't punish multicolor decks over mono. Terastodon is normally used as a solution to board problems. Titan can't even destroy utility lands.
Anything that kills with infinite ETB/LTB. Or I guess you could get something that doesn't, but then it's not a kill combo...
Do this or Latulla, Keldon Overseer. Big Red.

I'd like to see someone build Telim'Tor.
EDIT: Whoops, not in sig. Here.

As a plus, you get the now $40(?) Scavenging Ooze,
Cloudstone Curio.
Pro topic change.
Navigator shouldn't be banned, cheap repeatable blink is hard to find.
Also to people who are quoting ridiculously long posts, spoilers would be much appreciated.

Rightrightright. I pay attention. Trust me.
