You ever notice how, whenever a character of one gender is dominating a character of a different gender in the art, it's always a female dominating a male? Why don't we ever see the reverse? It's hard to call it equal representation when the representation isn't actually equal.
wouldn't want to cause another ***** storm ala Triumph of Ferocity is my best guess.
So in order to reduce their environmental impact, they're going to replace all of their product packaging with paper-based stuff, which requires the harvesting of more trees...?
Logic checks out
Hopefully they'll find some other biodegradable alternative to paper, or they'll stick to recycled paper materials exclusively.
Paper products are at least recyclable. A lot of cheap plastic just gets burned or blown into the ocean and can't be recycled anyways.
I'm all for this change. This is the type of stuff I want to see more of.
All this talk about underdressed men and overdressed women, and speculation of sexuality, and whether Wizards is sputtering and failing or succeeding masterfully... I just think the leather pants look dumb. Fashion faux pas.
I mean, he's a fairy. Fairies are often underdressed. Who cares?
The thing that irks me about this isn't that the guy is kind of under dressed. It's more how smug Wizards comes across when they take their stance of putting girls in non-revealing and even shapeless clothes online sometimes because those things are "bad" but they have guys in revealing outfits all the time. It's eyeroll inducing and hypocritical to me.
The question I come back to with this deck over and over is what the heck is going on with the mana base? Especially compared to the Sultai deck. This deck is literally all of the CITP lands they could fit in a deck and also Prairie Stream. Feels weak compared to what the others are packing; it doesn't even have nice utility lands like the Rakdos one does. Why are the mana bases so unbalanced?
A little disappointed that it's WUR and not RUG, and also a little disappointed that I could have guessed the abilities for most of them pretty randomly. The only thing that I didn't expect is the damage prevention clause, maybe there's a lot of symmetrical damage effects ala Rolling Temblor.
Depending on how things pan out the R/B deck might be pretty fun. I have some hope for the Sultai deck as well, kinda cool that the commander gives you immediate value by providing you with a 2/2 body and a card for free when it comes down. The populate spell with a haste enabler could be strong against enough small creatures. We'll see with the WUR deck. I like spell based decks and doubling things, and I loved the burning vengeance decks of standard formats of old, so with the right cards I might get that anyways because I'm a big chump.
Gotta admit, the thing I'm most disappointed by is the set symbol.
If this is real , I can see WBG for the Populate deck. The addition of Black lets you use your tokens as sacrifices to do stuff and also gives you big beefy demon tokens to play with too.
20 bucks a booster pack is absolutely absurd, even if they do come with cool extended art cards or whatever. it's just too much money. I'd be much more onboard with it if they were cheaper, but as it is I don't like it.

Not surprising honestly.
Huh. Not too shabby, in my opinion. Don't know if it's good enough to see play but

Arcane Signet is great and I hope they print it in every commander deck.
