    Hey all.

Just looking for some resources for a Sneak Attack Nic Fit variant. I know the deck is played but I can't seem to find much on it. Didn't see anything in the Sneak Show Primer or the Nic Fit Primer so any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

That's what I did originally. It's a great list. The Spellbombs are amazing. It was something I always kind of wrote off but there are so many match ups it is relevant against. At it's worst, it is a revolt trigger for Fatal Push.

Let me know some notes on your sideboarding!

That's kind of what I figured. I don't really want to pull anything out of my side to put them in anyway.

    Thanks.

Hey guys. I just had a quick question about sideboard tech.

I'm having a hell of time beating Tron. It's very prevalent in my meta. Stony Silece helps but when they drop Karn it's a pretty deep hole to dig my self out of. So my question, is it worth it to run a couple of Anguished Unmaking in the board for that match up? I feel like it's not that linear because there are other decks it might be good against as well.

    Thanks

Looking for some input on this strange I put together.

The basic idea is to recur your ETB triggers by bouncing them back to your hand via [[Trusted Advisor]]
I originally thought about splashing green into UB for eternal witness for potential Cryptic/Witness lock but decided to try a white splash instead.

Thoughts? I'm totally open to dropping/splashing different colors. Thanks.

Just looking for some input on this port from Legacy to Modern.
I'm recently returning to MTG after a bit of a break. I've still been collecting but haven't paid much attention to meta shifts.
No, I do not want to play 8 Rack.

    Thanks

...I would side with the person with the Pen and Paper...

    Don't like, thumbs down.

"Don't like". Why don't you like peace on earth? that's clearly what you meant by taking a quote, cutting it in half and completely warping what the sentence said, right?

"I told him that in a case like this I would side with the person with the Pen and Paper only if they could show me why/where the discrepancy occurred."

See that sentence? It's waaays apart from what you are trying to imply.
On the basis of that "...show me..." is something good, I do agree with you. But I don't have good experiences with that department.

Dice get bumped and have no derivative way of showing how you got to that life total other than the dice says it. Pen and paper have a history sometimes with notes of how life totals became where they are.

I might have been a bit unclear.

What I meant was that regarding:
    Quote from WITCHxBURNER »
-its ability will trigger as long as its name is "Blood Artist."

the name of the Blood Artist shouldn't matter since the ability refers to the card itself and not the name of the card.

Sure. It doesn't say "Whenever a creature named Blood Artist" but it says Blood Artist. Which refers to itself regardless of whether or not it's a creature.

There's no arguing that. Even if a blood artist stops beeing a creature the ability will still trigget when it dies. But it should trigger regardless of what his name is when he dies.

So if you clone a Blood Artist with Sakashima the Impostor and it stops beeing a creature the ability would still trigger when it dies even if the name isn't Blood Artist.

Yes but only because there is another Blood Artist in play. It doesn't change the text to "Whenever Sakashima the Imposter dies..."

If you're the only judge and you have to leave, maybe let them know that they can call you if anything comes up that they don't know how to handle. You could also explain that FNM has a pretty lenient rules enforcement level, and minor mistakes definitely don't warrant a game loss.

If Player B does something like this again, and you suspect he might be cheating, then as always, just do an investigation. If it's clear that he's trying to cheat, DQ him for the night and have a little talk with him. If not, tell both players to be more careful in the future.

You can't blame them for trying to handle the situation when the judge isn't there anymore. I don't know what the situation was, but in general you should try to stay for the whole night if you're the judge.

We are going to talk with him.
I wasn't judging I had happened to be there for a bit and left. FNM here usually does not have a judge unless one is playing. Myself and one other are the only 2 in town that participate in the local magic scene. It's difficult for us to be around 100% of the time.

Not entirely sure that it is because its name is Blood Artist though. When a card uses its own name like that on a card it usually doesn't reference to the name of the card (or any other card with the same name) but rather the card itself.

I'm not sure what you're saying.
If you control two Blood artists and they die at the same time both of their abilities trigger.

603.6d Normally, objects that exist immediately after an event are checked to see if the event matched any trigger conditions. Continuous effects that exist at that time are used to determine what the trigger conditions are and what the objects involved in the event look like. ---However, some triggered abilities must be treated specially. Leaves-the-battlefield abilities, abilities that trigger when a permanent phases out, abilities that trigger when an object that all players can see is put into a hand or library, abilities that trigger specifically when an object becomes unattached, abilities that trigger when a player loses control of an object, and abilities that trigger when a player planeswalks away from a plane will trigger based on their existence, and the appearance of objects, prior to the event rather than afterward. The game has to look back in time to determine if these abilities trigger.----Example: Two creatures are on the battlefield along with an artifact that has the ability Whenever a creature dies, you gain 1 life. Someone plays a spell that destroys all artifacts, creatures, and enchantments. The artifacts ability triggers twice, even though the artifact goes to its owners graveyard at the same time as the creatures.

"Whenever Blood Artist or another creature is put into the graveyard..."
This means that if Blood Artist is put into a graveyard-even if it is an Enchantment, Artifact, etc.-its ability will trigger as long as its name is "Blood Artist."

So I was at home after leaving FNM which had not finished yet.
I got a phone call from a friend of mine who was there and he told me that there had been a dispute in the final round about life totals.
Player A passed the turn with life totals recorded as Player A 6 and Player B 8.
Player A was using a life counter dice and Player B was using Pen and Paper.
Player B drew his card and then said "wait you should be at 5 life" with no evidence of why besides saying that at some point, either the turn before or earlier in the game, Player A had taken 1 damage from tapping his Mana Confluence.
Player B could win the game if Player A was at 5 life.
Before even calling me two players that are regulars at our shops' FNM made a ruling that both of them had committed "Failure to Maintain Game State" and issued both players a game loss.
First of all Failure to Maintain game state is a Warning a Competitive REL and should certainly not be a Game Loss at FNM.
Player B has been known to cheat and be deceptive.
I told my friend to inform them that they are incorrect and this is not going to be tolerated.
I told him that in a case like this I would side with the person with the Pen and Paper only if they could show me why/where the discrepancy occurred.
If not then the players life total is 6 and the game continues.

I'm wondering what I should do about this.
Is this grounds to DQ Player B if something like this happens again?
How should I handle players who aren't Judges making rulings that absurd at FNM?
I'm shocked that they didn't call me or our other local L1 before making a ruling like that.
    Thanks.
