Went to PPTQ with my list, 0-3 Drop. Played Temur Marvel, RG Pummeler and Sultai Marvel. I did make a mistake that might have put forced a game 3 in match one, played a puzzle knot for 1 with 2 mana and an inspector in hand, I should have played the 2nd inspector putting more potential damage on the board while casting the knot for free and helping out the rest of the game, my last attack with ulamog tapped I got him to 1 so, if that 2nd inspector had gotten in for 3 damage he doesnt attack but Flagship I had in play does the work?

In anycase RG pummeler comboed on me twice by turn 5 for uber damage, one turn I played cards instead of leaving mana up for Rebuke, mistake in hindsight.
Sultai maravel just ulamoged me to death, played Ishkanah and chumped and absorbed trample damage from cloak until ulamog showed up and exiled those Colossuses.

If you cant beat them join them, I think im done with this deck, came to realize I was under a false sense of success running this deck at my LGS, not good enough for higher competition.

And there goes the Hammer on Aetherworks Marvel, I guess we should be welcoming you back? :):):)

Loving my Grixis colossus so far.

My guess and Im calling it, all the gods will have:

    1.)4 cmc
    2.)Tri color
3.)All 4 of them will be with Black

Cat - B/W/G WBG - Abzan Color - Look at the Art Black and White is predominantly in colored
(Bastet - Bastet was also depicted as the goddess of protection against contagious diseases and evil spirits)

Bird - B/U/W WUB- Esper Color - Art Depicts a Esper color landscape
(Horus - Horus was said to be the sky, he was considered to also contain the sun and moon)

Croc - B/W/R RWB- Mardu Color - Art Depicts a Mardu color landscape as the Sky is colored Black, Red, White like the Sunrise
(Sobek - Sobek was associated with pharaonic power, fertility, and military prowess, but served additionally as a protective deity with apotropaic qualities, "he who loves robbery", "he who eats while he also mates")

Dog - B/R/U UBR- Grixis Color - Art Depicts a Grixis color landscape as the Sky is colored Black, Red, Blue just like the Sunset
(Anubis - Depicted as a protector of graves, was also an embalmer. Zombies are predominantly in GRIXIS Color right??)

Snake - B/G/U BGU- Sultai Color - Art Depicts Sultai color
(Apep or Wadjet im not sure)

Possible POISON counters, but not Infect. Infect is the signature of New Phyrexian as Annihilator to the Eldrazis. POISON fits the Egyptian theme but we are not getting it through INFECT creatures, there is a chance we can get POISON counters from creatures like Crypt Cobra, Swamp Mosquito, Marsh Viper, Pit Scorpion, Sabertooth Cobra, and might even get Leeches! It fits the EGYPTIAN PLANE theme.

    interesting take!
Please explain your cards choices for:
    Paradoxical Outcome
    Aetherflux Reservoir
    Kozilek, the Great Distortion

    Why not Ulamog over Kozilek?

At first when I saw the Paradox Engine + Hedron Archive synergy I also think of Ulamog instead of Kozilek, it is a good option but after a tons of play testing I found out that Kozilek is much more effective in this deck. Yes Ulamog is viable option you can Exile 2 permanent on casting and can end games potentially in 2 swings due to exiling of 20 cards but the problem is if he got removed from the game by Declaration in stones or got countered you end up with an empty hand. Ulamog is great, but I think Kozilek shines more in this deck. Still if you want you can Use Ulamog Instead of Kozilek, I might even -1 Warping wail or -1 Baral Expertise on SB and put +1 Ulamog on SB. A turn 5 Kozilek is scary as much as a turn 5 Ulamog in this deck, both can potentially end games in 2 turns.

    interesting.
If one played a deck with D.Stone, it would also remove Kozilek, dont think thats a valid point, if having the creature removed was a topic then Kozilek would be more susceptible than Ulamog.

Just thinking about how the format is vehicles and GB aggro, its pretty fast, I would assume Ulamog would be better that stablizing that Kozilek.

Thanks for the responses, I do like the use of: engulf, battle at the bridge, reservoir and Paradoxes
    .

I forgot to mention that Kozilek has high chance of countering D.Stone due to the fact that we had a lot of 2 cmc can trips after Drawing 6 to 7 cards most of the time. (4x Servo Schematic, 4x Glint Nest, 4x Prisms). But as I said it depends on what is your preference they are both 10cmc. It's either you want to refill your hand or Exile stuff. Both of them are good. It's just I like Kozilek more in this deck I guess.

I have no Issue against with BG Golgari aggro variants, I assure you Glint nest turn 2 or Servo Schematic turn 2, followed by Aethersphere turn 3 or battle at the bridge will be tough for BG variants. Removing the snake at turn 2 while gaining 3 or 4 life with a 1/3 flying blocker or a turn 3 with 3/5 flying lifelink will be difficult on BG to get through.

Now as for Mardu/RW Vehicles we can over power them with colossus and Engulf the shore will be our best friend on this match up im pretty sure about that, I just want to see if Release the Gremlins is worth SB because I fear it is too slow. But anyways Im hoping that this coming Friday I will a have a matchup against Vehicles so I can test the Release the Gremlins, but I fear that I wont be seeing a lot them as the meta now shift to BG Golgari variants in which Im very very confident to play with. The only thing Im really concerned right now is against the Saheeli Copycat/control variants in which I had a difficult match due to its control/semi control shell. As the meta shifts to BG Golgari variants, Im pretty sure a lot of Saheeli Copycat deck will show this week due to decrease of number of Mardu Vehicles.

    Paradoxical Outcome
    Aetherflux Reservoir
    Kozilek, the Great Distortion

    1.) Kozilek TGD,

This card is INSANE. Refills your hand after multiple colossus chain, Counters enemy removal, End Game with a 12/12 menace with the other Colossus on the field. Easy to cast due to Hedron Archive/Caravan + Paradox Engine + Colossus. A great Example was Round 2 Game 2 vs GB deck I managed to Pull 4 Colossus and Kozilek on Turn 5 with bunch of cards in hand.

    2.) Aetherflux Reservoir

4 cmc, lets you ramp to colossus, lets you gain life after multiple casting cantrips like prism, servo schematic, Glint Nest, even after multiple colossus. Combo also with Paradox Engine, Colossus, and Paradoxical Outcome. It is good especially when you got it out by turn 4. Most of the time it gives me 6 to 10 Life per turn (3 to 4 spells). One game during Gameday I win by blasting my enemy with 50 damage.

    3.) Paradoxical Outcome

Mainly Combo with Aetherflux Reservoir + Paradox Engine + Hedron Archive/Caravan + Multiple Colossus or Cantrips, Acts as defensive card against clear boards like fumigate, removals like declaration in stone and ruinous path, lets you draw insane amount of cards!Returning 4 Colossus when enemy tries to fumigate then you draw another 4 cards durining the process while saving your Colossus. Returning 3 prisms at end step gives u 3 cards and additional 3 if you play those prisms again. Whenever you have Paradoxical Outcome in hand you will never be afraid to dump and chain your Colossus and fear that it may be fumigated or removed by declaration in stone. You save your colossus, you draw cards, its a win win.

Putting 1 copy of Aetherlux reservoir and Paradoxical outcome gives you another way to win the game. You can always fetch it with Whir of Invention so 1 copy is enough, it also ramps you to Colossus. Now your deck doesn't only relies on Colossus to win, you Have Kozilek TGD with menace, AetherFlux Reservoir route, and Vehicles stomping as alternate win Conditions. It prevent your deck being a 1 trick pony and the good thing about it is that it does not even negatively affect when ramping to your Colossus.

After playing Gameday and FNM last night, most people I played with told me they didn't expect the build and had hard time to react with it. Im bringing this build again next week and hopefully got a match against Mardu/RW vehicles and see if Release the Gremlins is good as SB.

One thing I want to tune up on this deck though is I want to -1 Paradox Engine, but I have not seen any good 5cmc Artifact to replace it with.
Oh and on the Funnier side, I didn't know what to name this deck! Improvise, Colossus, Paradoxical, Kozilek? I don't know haha

I recently win a Gameday last week and got 4-0 with 16 man FNM tonight with my current deck list!

Meta: Golgari, R/G Energy, Copycat Marvel, R/B Aggro (Vampire)

Round 1 vs R/B Aggro (Vampires)
Game 1: I loose, got 2 lands opening hand with Servo Schematic and Aethersphere and thats all the land I got the entire game.
Game 2: -1 Paradoxical Outcome, -1 Paradox Engine, +1 Battle at the Bridge, +1 Engulf the shore.
Battle at the Bridge are so good! Turn 1 Inventor's Fair, Turn 2 Servo Schematic, Turn 3 Aethersphere, Turn 4 Battle at the Bridge got me tons of Life and 3 Chain of Colossus afterwards wins the game.
Game 3: Turn 2 Glint Nest dig Aether sphere, Turn 3 Aethersphere, Until I chained 2 Colossus on turn 5 then Engulf the shore.

    Round 2 vs R/G Energy
Game 1: Glint Nest and Servo Schematic and Battle at the Bridge (Forced the Pummeler to use 6 energy!) got my back on the early game and rolled with 2 chains of Colossus.
Game 2: No Side board as I dont't know what to put (Not used to play with R/G Energy). R/G started stompy as he beats me with Brawler and Rampager good thing I had a 2 turn glint nest and turn 3 Servo Schematic, on Turn 4 I got out my Aetherflux Reservoir and Started to gain life next turn 5 by playing Skysovereign and Chaining Multiple Colossus. Pummeler by that time can not go through 3 Mass Blocking Colossus.

Round 3 vs G/B Snake aggro (Not the Delirium)
Game 1: G/B started with turn 2 Balista and turn 3 Rishkar, Turn 4 snake. Good thing I had Battle at the Bridge and killed the Snake on Turn 4 and gaining fair amount of Life thanks to Improvise, Turn 5 G/B plays Verdorous, Turn 5 I Whir of Invention Paradox Engine then Chained 2 Colossus and 1 Battle at the Bridge killing Rishkar. GB didnt draw any answer to my Colossus and concede.
Game 2: -1 Paradoxical Outcome, -1 Pradox Engine, +1 Battle at Bridge, +1 Baral's Expertise.
Game 2 is Insane, Manage to got 4 Colossus and 1 Kozilek TGD on Turn 5! My opponent can't believe his eyes. Turn 2 Servo Schematic, Turn 3 Cultivator's Caravan, Turn 4 Hedron Archive, Turn 5 I top decked a Paradox Engine, Cast 1st Copy of Colossus untaping Hedron and Caravan, then sac my 2 Sanctum of Ugin and Fetch 2 more Colossus netting me 10 mana then Cast Kozilek and draw the last Colossus!

Round 4: vs Aetherworks Marvel/Copy Cat Deck
This Match up is the hardest for me.
Game 1: Got turn 4 Aetherworks Marvel into Ulamog! Didn't have any chance to recover after that, good thing my opponent plays Saheeli next turn before I concede and give me an Idea that he might be having a copycat combo.
Game 2: -1 Paradoxical Outcome, -3 Battle at Bridge, -3 Engulf the Shore, +3 Lost Legacy, +4 Warping Wail
After doing Sideboard, I manage to Lost Legacy Ulamog and saw he had only 2 copies in the deck and have several saheeli and Felidar (As I suspected). When he saw that i don't have any untaped blue mana he proceed with his Saheeli + Felidar Combo but got exiled by warping wail as he is not expecting it. With 1 colossus out he didnt draw any answer and concede.
Game 3: Opponent boarded 4 Negates and Some Disallow, the game started to became a control match up luckily managed to win by chaining 3 Colossus. A very grinding game Game 3 I must say.

Against G/B and Other Aggro Variants I find it an Easy Match up thanks to Glint Nest, Servo Schematic, Aethersphere, and Battle at the Bridge. I really had a hard time against the Saheeli combo/Marvel when it turns into a control shell. Never got a chance to fight any Mardu/RW Vehicles.

Hedron Crawler gives u turn 3 Hedron Archive....Paradox Engine..... Conduit....

    OOHHHH!
    IC

Any good suggestion for a 2 cmc artifact? I want to try the Corrupted Grafstone, but im a little worried that i cant use it on turn two.

Hedron Crawler gives u turn 3 Hedron Archive, also gives additional ramp when you have Paradox Engine on play (can go insane amount of mana). Paradox Engine is so insane, Hedron crawler can also act as Cantrip when you have Conduit out then cast engulf the shore for additional mana. By adding 1 copy makes the curve a little bit smoother.

I have been testing my deck for a week now, and it gives me surprising results. Here comes the the Colossus/Improvise deck!

The deck has the basic concept of Metalwork Colossus deck you ramp and cast multiple Colossus, but the addition of Part the Waterveil and Paradox Engine made it insane!

While free casting the Colossus you are able to untap your Mana rocks and prism to float mana then Cast Part the Waterveil, giving you extra turn Casting engulf the shore or Baral's Expertise then Swing for Lethal!

I had one game where I casted 4 Colossus, 1 Kozilek TGD, 1 Part The waterveil with Awaken (thx to Hedron Archive + Prophetic prism synergy), and Engulf the shore due to Paradox Engine and just laugh!

    ...

Play tested for a week against Marvel, U/W, and G/B delerium and I must say it got them surprised.

Like the concept of the build. I have really enjoyed my Kozilek as well. The Waterveil play is inspired tho, it reminds me of the Grizzlebro decks with infinite attack phases.

I've been running this deck for a weeks now and modify it a little bit:

    -1 Reverse Engineer on Main
    +1 Hedron Crawler on Main

I've been thinking to lessen the Conduit I think 3 mainboard is little bit clunky. Im thinking to -1 or -2 Conduit for Skysovereign but Conduit is so good so I cant decide. Any suggestion?

Nonetheless, for almost two weeks now I'm really stomping G/B aggro with my build and Engulf the Shore/Part the waterveil really shines on this deck.
I will bring this deck on FNM this friday and see how it will fair against Copy Cat decks.

I also had a game where I got my 2 Cultivator's Caravan get Crewed by 1 Conduit of Ruin due to Multiple Cast of Colossus then Part the Waterveil and Engulf the shore and Swing for 15 and gain an extra turn and swing again with the Colossus!

    Cards involve:

    Paradox Engine
: This bring the deck to a new level, it has a 5cmc reducing almost half the cost of your Colossus, untaps multiple mana rocks due to Colossus multiple casting and lets you cast Part the waterveil and extra stuff.

Kozilek TGD: Before Aether Revolt this card is so useless i called it Kozilek, The Great Disappointment but now it gives you the Juice! It's insane due to Paradox Engine untaping ability! One problem of the Old colossus deck is that when you go all out with colossus you will have empty hand and hoping that your opponent do not have Declaration in stones. But now Kozilek will refill your hand to 7 and possibly dig for part the waterveil and engulf the shore, discarding Hedron crawler and Prophetic Prism to counter Declaration in stone. He Just bring the Juice you need to win.

Part the Waterveil: Gives you extra turn, can be awaken for another 6/6 beater, and win the game.

Engulf the Shore/Baral's Expertise: It clears the board and allowing you to swing for the win. Engulf is good against aggro deck like UW flash specially with that pesky Selfless Spirit. Baral's Expertise against GB delirium/GB beatdown.

Reverse Engineering: Been testing this, gives u 3 cards, synergy with your deck due to improvise.

Battle at the Bridege: Synergy with your deck, removes creatures (Sefless spirit), gains you life, very good against aggro! Even synergy with paradox engine! Gaining 3 to 4 life and removing a creature is a good, but when you have paradox engine you can tap all the mana rocks you got and gain a lot of life as much 8 life and remove a Verdorous gearhulk and untal all your mana rocks again is insane!

Warping Wail: Very underated card. for 2 mana it gives you a lot! Fix your ramp on turn 2 if you dont have hedron crawler to ramp to Hedron Archive on turn 3. Counters Declaration in stone and other persky sorcery. Exile the Felidar cat to prevent Saheeli combo, exile any aggresive creature with 1 toughness, gives you a 1/1 chump blocker at worst. So much value.

    Sideboards:

Lost Legacy: Great against Saheeli combo deck, Aetherworks marvel (exiling ulamog), and Control deck.

Ceremonious Rejection: Aetherworks Marvel deck, possibly some crontrol deck running void shatter.

Metallic Rebuke: Against control deck, Synergy due to improvise.

Baral's Expertise: Against G/B delirium or G/B beat, Vehicle deck when Engulf the shore can do the job. Lets you free cast a rocks, and triggers paradox engine twice!

Play tested for a week against Marvel, U/W, and G/B delerium and I must say it got them surprised.

And a Sultai version ? We can add 4 copies of Diabolic Tutor for search our artifact
I don't think the problem with the deck is finding the marvel but the lack of alternate win condition and the inability to shuffle the drawn eldrazi back into the library. I like the idea of ever after if we can discard our hands full of eldrazi and then just reanimate them as an alternate wincon. Problem is, the best spell to do this is cathartic reunion, so go 4 color?

You can do 3 colors, in my deck I drop Green and replaced it with Black.

Went on Stomping with my Grixis Marvel Emerge deck last week. I drop green and get black instead.

I love what you did with your deck. Removing the Puzzleknot for other energy producers that are more useful in the game, Catathartic Reunion to get rid of dead cards, and Ever After to get them back. This is better than Temur, and removes a lot of randomness to the deck.

I sincerely wish you the best for your deck. Your brew is elegant, and better thought out that what the pro tried to do at Pro Tour. In my opinion, they failed miserably. With more than 21% of all decks playing Aetherworks Marvel, only one deck made it in top 24 (4%), and 8 in the top 69 (12%). I don't remember the last time so many pro players were wrong at the same time. Glad I sold my cards this morning, the price is already falling...
They didn't fail in brewing the deck, they fail in predicting that control would show up in full force.

And it's here to stay (7 of the Standard Top 24 were Control). And Aggro, which was a known enemy, did better (13 of the Standard Top 24 were Aggro). On the clock, Combo (Aetherworks Marvel) is supposed to beat Aggro (and Aggro defeat Control, and Control defeat Combo). That this Combo deck failed to defeat Aggro is quite telling. Either Aggro is amazingly good right now, or this particular Combo deck relies too much on luck even when the combo is assembled. Even Emrakul on turn 4 is not an instant win if you're down to 10 life or less, and facing still more attackers after controlling their turn. Aggro has two more turns to attack and win, and maybe more, as Emrakul herself is probably needed on defense to avoid losing next turn.

I agree to this, that is that problem that I saw with the Temur build. It's just too much luck based and focused on popping the Titans. Just like on the round 8 of Pro Tour the match with Eric Froelich vs Matteo Moure (BG Delirium vs Temur Aetherworks). Match 1 Matteo keeps drawing and drawing the Titans on the early game 3 Big Papa Ulamog and 1 Emrakul, and keeps on whiffing and whiffing the Aetherworks and cause him to loose the match because the catacomb sifter and verdurous gearhulk just keep on pummeling him hard.

Went on Stomping with my Grixis Marvel Emerge deck last week. I drop green and get black instead.

    Grixis Marvel Emerge

As you can see I didn't run Green, Why? Because the Temur build is very inconsistent and more likely a luck based deck and relies heavily on Aetherworks Marvel poping the Titans. After a lot of playtesting with the Temur build I found my self loosing every time after drawing 2 or 3 eldrazi and discard it on the graveyard with Cathartic Reunion, and by the time I got my Aetherworks Marvel online I only have 5 eldrazi on the deck which is very bad. It's either you pop 1 Big Daddy Ulamog or Big Mama Emrakul or waste your Energy.

As you can see this deck doesn't only relies heavily on being lucky on popping Big Daddy Ulamog or Big Mama Emrakul on Aetherworks Marvel.

    Card Break down:
Thriving Turtle, Aether Meltdown, Aethertorch Renegade
    - helps you build 6 energy until turn 4 and builds up great defense against agressive deck such as RW Vehicle, Mardu Vehicle, RB Madness on Early game.

    Elder Deep-Fiend, Distended MindBender:
    - Helps you a lot on mid game. Elder Deep fiend is good against aggressive/mid range deck, while Distended Mindbender is good against Mid range/control decks.
    - Both of them also triggers Kozilek's return.

    Ever After:
    - 1 scenario that happened to me: turn 1 Thriving Turtle, turn 2 cathartic reunion discarding an Ulamog and Emrakul, turn 3 Aethertorch renegade, turn 4 Aetherworks Marvel and when I pop it I missed the Eldrazi but hit EverAfter and poof say Hello to my Titans.
    - Ever After brings diversity on the deck, yes on the Temur build when you got early Eldrazi on your hand it just screw with the deck leaving you with lesser chance of popping an Eldrazi on Aetherworks Marvel.
    - EverAfter Also re-fuel you with energy by revivng the Turtle or Renegade after early game or after feeding them to the Emerge costs. You will find your self with a lot of energy counters.

    Desolation Twin:
    - This card is very nice! Sometimes much better than Ulamog or Emrakul. Can win you the game easily by after triggering Kozilek's Return on the graveyard and swinging for 20 next turn.

    Madcap Experiment:
    - This card is a gamble, loosing 5 to 7 life average. But this card definitely acts as additional copy of Aetherworks Marvel and on my experience helps me a lot! Just be reminded that it is a double edged sword. You can change it with Gilt-Nest Crane.

    Hijack
    - This card is hilarious against Mirror match! Either grab their Aetherworks or their Titan. You be the judge! 1 time my opponent got his Aetherworks Marvel out first and pop it and whiff, on my turn I cast Hijack and saw the face and reaction of my opponent! Grab his Aetherworks and pop it hitting Emrakul, and winning the game with his Aetherworks Marvel.

You can win with Aetherworks Marvel poping a Titan
You can win by Mid range Emerge creatures + Alternate win con with Aethertorch renegade dealing 6 - 12 damage.

    game 1: RB Madness - (2-0 win)
    game 2: Grixis Control - (2-1 win)
    game 3: RW vehicle - (2-1 win)
    game 4: Temur Aetherworks (2 - 0 win)
