I have a friend who plays exactly that it is !Kaalia I don't think he ever casts her.
It is just an excuse to run Transcendence and a bunch of other cards to basically lock his life total at 0 forever and then Stuffy Doll + Black and Red Pestilences and a whole bunch of drain life to draw card effects and Repay in Kind
To be fair for all the talk Mana Crypt gets on here it is still priced to a point where I have never seen one show up in a Commander game I have played, I know that is only with probably 30-40 people max but I still think that card is hard enough to come by or justify the cost for for a TON OF PEOPLE.
First turn Sol Ring is pretty good, no doubt about it, but first turn Exploration is even better, and we don't really hear any one complaining about that.
That reminds me of a hilarious game I played like a week ago.
Not my Prime Speaker Deck, Turn 1, Forst Exploration, Island, Turn two 2 more lands, turn 3 2 more lands and Multani, Maro-Sorcerer which is at 27 at that point, turn 4 Prime Speaker drawing him 28 more cards and Multani hits someone who didn't get a creature out in time for 48
I agree with that one and have not seen reasons why Kokusho is worse as your commander than in the 99 especially with some of the new options out there.
We do First free Paris or Mulligan and it doesn't degenerate because people don't tend to go past the free one unless they are lacking in land, then again my meta is more made of synergy than actual combo so there is that.
I made a very few creatures Rakdos Punisher deck (Kaervek Punisher) which makes the most use of AoE Burn spells and Repercussion or other Punisher related effects
As someone who runs a Nekusar deck I agree that it gets awful boring, which is why I have multiple decks and only play him when everyone else wants to.
I find that quote kinda funny because the best games of Jin deck have been when I have casted him a 10 mana card on turn 3 or 4.
So I had a Brion deck that had a lot of graveyard interaction and I got bored of it, it led to me looking for places in which I could use the tech and Ertai stood out, I also had pieces left over from a couple different re-animator / stax decks and smashed them both together and came out with this.
I had a deck of robots and I couldn't handle the lack of spells, sorry guys it became Jin & Juice and it is devastating. Thanks for the original inspiration of the list though. Keep fighting the good robot fight.
That, and a vote is a rather ludicrous proposition considering NONE OF US ARE ON THE RULES COMMITTEE.
I don't understand why you are so against the idea of any discussion or polls about Sol Ring. Obviously none of the members that actively participate in this thread are members of the RC, but it's still fun and interesting to get an idea of what the general consensus is, especially since a lot of people read this thread but rarely actually post. Your main goal seems to be to stifle all discussion of Sol Ring in this thread, which seems very counterproductive when it's clearly a very controversial card and one that people want to talk about.
No his goal was his point you highlighted the second half but it is the first half that is important, this forum and website is a vocal minority of edh players who.
1. care enough about magic to want more to do with it outside the time they play / deck build
2. found this website
3. found this thread
4. made an account to vote
As you go down that list the % of people who play EDH shrinks drastically from anywhere near the maximum, voting in this thread is pointless because of how small of a sample size it reflects and how biased towards certain things the sample will represent.

Good times.
I don't actually run the Festival in mine however.
Kaervek the Merciless is the best burn commander.
The other really scary burn mode is Wort, the Raidmother
Because Gruul can pump an ungodly number of tokens with her to them sac to fuel the craziest X spells.
