Maybe. The difference just isn't statistically significant because the sample size is only 10, at least for Kiki Pod.

I think you'd be better of using confidence intervals rather than p-values. This is better at communicating the information to non-stats people. The other thing I'd recommend is to bootstrap your residuals, as this will go some way to counteracting the small sample size.

Cancelled my box pre-order. Some fun casual cards but I can't get behind this set.

I was hoping this was going to be about Mercadian Masques boxes! *sigh*

On topic; Star City usually uses a system of put up X quantity at price A, if X quantity sells out put up Y quantity at price A+1, and repeat.

Perfectly fine, and very nicely done.

Watch out though about posting this kind of stuff on MTGS, many users don't seem to like it, for instance here and here.

I'm sorry, you are so far off base it's not funny.

Wikipedia lists 16 known arch types:

    Triangular arch
Round arch, also known as a semi-circular arch
Segmental arch (less angle than a semi-circle)
Unequal round arch, also known as rampant round arch
    Lancet arch
    Equilateral pointed arch
Shouldered flat arch, also known as a jack arch
Trefoil arch, also known as a three-foiled cusped arch
    Horseshoe arch
    Three-centered arch
    Elliptical arch
    Inflexed arch
    Ogee arch
    Reverse ogee arch
    Tudor arch
    Parabolic arch

Wikipedia lists details of 9 of these arch types. I have linked to these to demonstrate how far off base you are.

In Magic, however, I believe that there is only one arch type.
    [CARD]
    Runed arch[/CARD]

And this "runed arch" does not fit into the existing arch types listed on Wikipedia. The closest arch type would be parabolic.

    (EDIT: also dragon arch)

TL;DR: Before presenting yourself as correct and your statements as truth, you may achieve credibility by using the correct words and spelling in your title. What you wanted to be talking about are archetypes, i.e., prototypical categories, not arch types, i.e., structures which "[span] a space and supports[a] structure and weight above it".

EDIT: OP, it's one word, not two.

some people here are obviously a bit too literal minded and are mostly just being argumentative and foolish.

the community at large does not have trouble identifying decks of the combo archetype. its a style of deck that wins by exploiting some kind of synergistic interaction to create an overwhelming effect. if you're bothered by the name "combo" because, in your overly literal mind, that requires the specific case of playing 2 or more cards in the same turn to generate that effect, then that's your own problem. don't expect other people to feel sympathetic to your own misunderstanding. most of us don't have any difficulty identifying what is and isn't a combo deck.

    /Thread.

Now lets get back to talking about the important stuff, what is your favorite shape of arch?

However, the opponent can a reasonable request to the judge if having the cards upside down makes the board state unclear. For instance, if you are playing similar decks in similar sleeves with a clogged board, I can see that being a reasonable request.

EDIT: I'M NOT A SPIKE, I DO NOT BELIEVE IN WINNING AT ALL COSTS. LIKE A JOHNNY WANTS TO WIN WITH SILLY CARDS, I WANT TO WIN THROUGH THE INCREMENTAL ADVANTAGE OF GAME EXTERNAL MIND GAMES.

EDIT: DESPITE WHAT SOME OF YOU MAY THINK, YOU CAN DO THESE THINGS WITHOUT COMING OFF AS A TOTAL WANKER. YOU'LL PROBABLY OFFEND THE MOST SENSITIVE PEOPLE, BUT IF YOU ARE THE KIND OF PERSON TO EVEN CONTEMPLATE THESE TECHNIQUES YOU WERE PROBABLY GOING TO OFFEND THEM ANYWAY. IN SHORT, YOU CAN DO THESE THINGS WITHOUT BEING OSTRACIZED BY THOSE AROUND YOU.

EDIT: IF YOU PLAY AGAINST ME, AND I'M PULLING THESE KIND OF SHENANIGANS, AND YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO STOP... JUST ASK, AND I WILL.

Some of you may find suggestions made by myself and others in this thread to be ethically questionable in game practice. Your use of any of them should be determined by your conscience, any applicable laws, and in line with instructions from the head judge. For instance, strategy number 3 below is one that I would not typically use on minors.

    ---

1/ Make tokens with pictures of all the regulars at your local store. Then, use the one that matches the person when you play them.

This is just plain creepy. But it also allows you to say wonderful things like "stop hitting yourself" when you attack, and "stop killing yourself" when they destroy your tokens. This is almost as annoying as people making Izzet puns.

Take it to the next level by: Go to a tournament with tokens pre-made of people you have never met before. Websites are a great source of images for this purpose. I imagine there is nothing creepier than sitting down and having your opponent pull out tokens with your face on them.

2/ Do your best to resemble your opponents "erotic" token, sleeve, and deck box art.

A number of people use anime art locally on these products. It's great to draw attention to the art with comments such as "she really looks like me, don't you think?" (bonus points for asking a spectator if they agree with your assertion while adopting the pose of the depicted person), "my breasts look better than hers" (works even better if you are male!), "I can pose like that for you if you like" (wink, or if you want to take it way too far lick your lips).

    3/ Hit on your opponent.

Assuming you are male, and they are male too, this is a great way to put off your homophobic opponents.

Remember, its probably polite to stop something like this as soon as the match is over. Just whip it out, the strategy that is, during matches. You don't want a reputation as the person that hits on everyone all of the time at your LGS.

4/ Use acetone to remove the text box of your cards.

    See Altered Art Rules below

Artistic modifications are acceptable in sanctioned tournaments, provided that the modifications do not make the card art unrecognizable, contain substantial strategic advice, or contain offensive images. Artistic modifications also may not obstruct or change the mana cost or name of the card.

The Head Judge is the final authority on acceptable cards for a tournament.

You don't break the general guidelines set forth. While the Head Judge could say no, the card is not going to be a noticeably different thickness.

Take it to the next level by: doing this in the first month of a new standard format to throw your opponents who have not memorized what cards do yet.

5/ When you know your opponent has a difficult turn coming up, stop them to call a judge to watch for "slow play".

I would not recommend doing this often, or the judge at the event may catch on. While this may give them some time to think, many players will get frustrated that you've called a judge over to watch them, before faltering under the judges watchful eye.

    ---

So these are 5 strategies to get the ball rolling. While I haven't used all of them, I've definitely used some of them, and seriously contemplated all of the others. One day, they might get a work out.

What strategies do you use to mess with your opponents heads?
