Based on the ruling on Kruphix himself, the mana restrictions remain despite the color loss.Quote from Ninja Bob »How does mana from Jeweled Lotus interact with Horizon Stone (or any other mana with restrictions)?
If mana with restrictions is floated through steps, would it then convert to generic mana which could be used normally?
Quote fromIf unused mana in your mana pool has any restrictions or riders associated with it (for example, if it was produced by Cavern of Souls), those restrictions or riders will remain associated with that mana when it becomes colorless.

Also, lots of lore implications from that roster.
Speculation: Tezzeret, Deretti, and Dack all deal with artifacts (and Karn). Therefore, an artifact theme for either Grixis colors or the entire set, will be introduced in War of the Sparks (or whatever it’s going to be called).
