Hi, all!
I'm considering joining an MTGO League for the first time, and was wondering if there are different conduct rules, guidelines, and expectations between "Friendly", "Intermediate", and "Competitive".
As this would be my first online League, I'm leaning toward the "Friendly" level to start, even though I have played paper MTG for some time.
Any suggestions or tips?
Thanks!
Played in two 14-player events, and finished 3-0-1 both times (intention draw the second tourney), playing WU both times.
First was a Humans/Investigate deck with Hope Against Hope being huge.
Second was more of a control build, biding time until I could cast Descend upon the Sinful or either of my *TWO* Startled Awakes (one promo). I had Haunted Cloak to give the Persistent Nightmares haste, which worked really well.
Finished 2nd at both events.
1. With Sphere of Resistance in play, do I have to pay the "extra" 1 mana to cast a spell that I can cast "without paying its mana cost"? (for instance, as a result of Cascade)
2. In a game of Commander, if I cast Diluvian Primordial, and it resolves and enters the battlefield, can I cast cards from my opponents' graveyards that don't match my Commander's color identity? (since I don't have to pay the casting costs?)
Pulled 3 fetches in the first 4 packs of my box, but unfortunately ended up with only 3 total. That seems to be about average, so I guess I can't complain too much about it.
One of my Sons opened 2 boxes, pulled 8 fetches, and 3 Sarkhans (1 being foil).
I always buy one booster box, then usually attend one pre-release and one draft for each set. That generally gets me a good start, and comes reasonably close to completing playsets of commons and uncommons. After that, I trade for/buy whatever remaining cards I need for decks. And generally nab any rares I can get for 15 cents or less, just to fill in playsets, regardless of whether I need them for decks.
has there been any update on this product if not when will we get any more information? anyone know?
In looking through the archives on the Mothership, the full cardlist of FtV: Realms was revealed on 17 Aug, exactly 2 weeks before release date of 31 Aug.
So, I'd expect to see the full cardlist for Twenty on 09 Aug.
EDIT: And some of the cards were revealed early, during San Diego Comic-Con (which is 18-21 Jul this year).
so how is this over riding the solitary which is stopping me from taking damage?
Solitary Confinement is trying to prevent damage ("Prevent all damage that would be dealt to you."), but Skullcrack is changing that with its "Damage can't be prevented this turn.".
Keep in mind MaRo's explanation on how the abilities of charms were chosen:
Two-color charms have one ability the first color can do, one ability the second color can do, and a third ability that both colors can do. The third ability could be thought of as an effect we would do in a hybrid card of these two colors.
The first thing that popped to my mind with the Overload keyword was a card that adds Overload to other (non-Overload) spells. As a comparison, like how Snapcaster Mage and/or Past in Flames gives Instant or Sorcery cards Flashback.
Imagine how powerful some existing "targetting" cards could become if the Overload ability could be added.

Is this missing one card? or am I incorrectly counting only 99?
(just curious)
Thanks!

A fast infect deck paired with a control/proliferate deck.
A white Battle Cry deck paired with a red Battle Cry deck.
(Battle Cry will pump up your partner's creatures, too)
