i removed the old .xml file and put the new one in while putting the picture file in the pics folder (i didnt have a downloadable pics folder either). i rebooted my cockatrice and everything works fine so far. all the flip cards are there, though im not sure how they'll work in game. ill find some way to accomplish this later. thanks for the upload guys!
ive been lurking on the thread and have asked a few questions several times (some of em werent answered, but its cool). i finally started to do some alters, but only on tokens. im not really confident enough to start on regular cards, much less generals. i sold my first 3d token at the local store last week and it kinda made me happy. even though it was a crappy snake token and the girl that bought it knew nothing of the game.
heres the one im most proud of right now. its a myr token that only took me about half an hour or so to do.
if any one has any tips on what types of beads to use for an abacus style card please pm me with tips. also what types of metal rods are best as im using toothpicks right now.
i havent been able to test this yet (school and work and such) but just going thru some cards, lim-dul the necromancer seems like he would fit the deck, and possibly the theme, although not being a zombie takes him away from the theme a bit.
Ok, I really like this deck, because I've set something like it up in Modern. Pretty good effectiveness ratio. I see two problems off the bat. 1) you'll need about 22-23 lands to work this reliably. Jace and BftB are high up on the curve, and you don't want them to be going stale in your hand because you can't get your 4th drop out. 2) Where, oh where is Forbidden Alchemy? Sure add 4 Drowned Catacombs and 4 Alchemys, and you can go nuts.
i normally only run 18-20 lands in my standard decks as it allows for a good ratio to the rest of the deck. (1/3 land 2/3 spells) so far, the replacements i know im going to make are visions of beyond for gitaxian probe as its instant speed and i dont have to wait for the end of their turn, if i can. i need to work in different counterspells, but im just not sure what yet. as for the alchemys, what would they replace? i understand the card advantage of them, i just dont know where to put them. thanks for the advice.

ive done a few tokens so far, just for the practice, and im currently working on a forest and a swamp (separately of course) to turn into life counters. i was wondering which would be easier to do, the spin counter or the abacus and how would i go about doing both? ive read this entire thread and looked at the amazing art everyone has done. i hope to post some pics soon.
its not in theme, but ive been going over cards that would help the deck. echo mage comes to mind just to copy a spell (even though you dont have that many i/s). copying army of the damned twice just says eff you and you get 49 2/2 zombies to sack to ertai/other nasty effects.
*edit* i totally just realized you can copy its flashback ability cost holy crap thats a total of 108 2/2 zombies. throw in a clone or something that copies abilities to throw down another echo mage or two for more lulz
I was going through several sites, looking for mill decks that i could build off of and i didnt see that many, so i decided to take what i could find and start building. I'm sure Szadek could be replaced Oona or one of the other "mill-ish" generals, but I've love the flavor of his destruction since forever lol.
i was watching the inn cards as they were leaked and i thought grimgrin would be a pretty good general, but he comes into play and doesnt untap with the rest of the stuff. how do you deal with that?
i dont normally like planeswalkers in my edh decks because they just paint a target on me and my stuff, but in my szadek mill, ive got jace 1.0 and jace 3.0 because of the world card draw. i had jtms in it but he didnt fit the deck. it looks like your just headed in a B/U smash with all the fatties you have. there's enough control there that it looks like it stands up but lacks focus. just my opinion
