  • posted a message on Open gaming at your LGS - how do you feel about it?
I wouldn't frequent a store that doesn't allow for it, especially if its out of a worry of losing profit, I'd never spend a dime in a place like that.

My LGS is awesome. The owner's a really cool guy, open gaming, open trades/buying and selling between players. Hell, sold off a Skaab Ruinator I pulled yesterday to the shop..then thinking about it today I decided I wanted it for my EDH deck, instead of making me pay the full price for the card he just gave it back to me for the price I sold it to him at. Plus he let me take home the Innistrad prerelease Garruk standee. It's a great place, I've spent entire days there chatting with him, playing with other regulars, just kinda hanging out. He sells candy and drinks as well (at a slightly higher price than other places, but I'm more than willing to pay up for a soda there), but also allows you to bring food in, just make sure to clean up after yourself.

That is how you run a good game shop, that is how you get loyal customers.

    Thought of one...

"____ will be good in pod"

...read that far far far too many times this spoiler season.

Vampire Onslaught, by far the best bang for your buck, 4 dismembers as well as a bunch of other good, playable cards.

It's not Avacyn's Collar, we've seen that symbol in pleny of other cards and art, and actually I'm more than willing to bet set 3 is going to feature her return with that as the expansion symbol.

I guess the stylized crown makes some sense.

I've heard everything from a crown, to a claw, to a dragon/hydra, and it's just bothering me..what the hell is it?

"Sexy" when refering to magic cards. Victoria's Secret models are sexy, chicks in Playboy are sexy, I would imagine that for a girl a six pack or ripped arms are sexy. Magic cards are not sexy! If you think they are sexy then there is something seriously wrong with you.

This I have to disagree with.

There's no reason a picture of a girl is any less attractive just because 1 is a real image and the other is drawn.

It should drop down to 20 within a month of being released. The release hype is crazy. Poeple are getting excited about potential Draw Go style decks this little dude really helps make happen but you still have to deal with the evolving meta. I forsee him settling down at 15 before the release of the new set.

I can't say that much for the foil though, those things tend to go crazy.

And running werewolves..I cannot wait to play against draw-go style decks.

For the record, that is a horribly laughable name.

Eh, I'm running RWG humans + werewolves and so far (even with a decent number of the cards I need missing) it's doing well enough, mana isn't generally an issue, even turn 1.

In limited it's a nice bomb, but in standard...not so much.

I'm running RWG Humans + Werewolves (works surprisingly well) for type 2 and I had a bit of an interesting situation come out.

Mentor of the Meek lets you pay 1 to draw a card when a creature with a power of 2 or less comes into play under your control.

Howlpack Alpha puts a 2/2 wolf token into play during the end step. He also pluses that to a 3/3.

Now assuming that, because it comes into play as a 2/2 I'd be able to use Mentor's ability...well would it being at the end step matter?

    How does the interaction work?

You need card tags in future posts. Read the Forum Guidelines. -Carsten

I know I had some good pulls for my sealed, Cagebreakers and Mayor as well as Champion of the Parish were gamewinners for me.

One of the packs I opened from my prize pool had a Geist Honored Monk as my rare...as well as one as my foil.

  • posted a message on [INN] So, how did your prerelease go?
Ran GWR Werewolves/Humans, got 7th place.

Had some good pulls as well between the 6 for the sealed, the 1 from my intro deck, and the 5 I got as my prize (also got 3 additional promo mayors to complete the promo set). Hell, I actually have 5 Mayors as I pulled one from my sealed.
