I remember when I first got back into Magic, was a bit before Innistrad, finding my way to this community and just getting so into everything and discussing things, posting and sharing deck lists (some good, some bad), having a blast on the commander forums especially as that more and more became my favorite format. This quickly became one of my go to sites for just wasting hours of my time. I've grown distant from the game and community over the last couple of years for a combination of reasons, but even still there's a special place in my heart for it all.
So yeah, this announcement definitely hurts, it's like a huge part of my adult life is sorta dying, damn near a decade of it at that. It's also closing the day before my 29th birthday so..yeah, that really rubs the salt in.
I've seen this place both through good times and bad, and even if aspects of the community or other things sorta pushed me away, I am genuinely saddened by this news and will cherish the memories I have. Thanks for the ride.
Was so looking forward to that as an early birthday present, that is a ridiculous delay, holy crap.
Having to alter the rules just so Companion works, while making sure to alter them in a way so that wishes and Spawnsire still do not work, stinks of "we had to find a way to make sure WotC's stupid new mechanic works even though by all means it shouldn't" and resulted in an entirely unnecessary banning in Lutri because it's fine everywhere in the format but the one place that shouldn't exist anyway. Just leave the rules as they are, say Companion doesn't work for the same reasons the other cards that deal with outside of the game do not work, and leave it be. It's stupid and they still haven't given a justifiable reason for doing things the way they have.
Almost a pseudo second commander that you can play (once) for free and doesn't count towards your 99, effectively being a 101st card in your deck. They've already preemptively banned one of them because the deckbuilding clause is negligible in the format (we'll ignore that they allow other cards that abuse the rules of the format such as Serra Ascendant) and it would basically be a must play in any Izzet deck (isn't Sol Ring a must play in...every deck?). Do you think they should just outright remove the mechanic from EDH and allow the creatures play as either a commander or one of the 99 and not suddenly give everyone access to an extra free creature outside of their deck?
It's a cute mechanic for standard, albeit as long as we ignore the hell this is going to cause judges at any sort of competitive event, but it is not something I want for EDH.

Look for a primer thread on the general you're using, I assume it is Skittles but that's just based on your description. That'll help a lot. Watch some deck tech vids as well.
Also know that infect is a VERY weak strategy in commander and is very commonly hated off a table so it will be an uphill battle.
He tries so, so hard to dodge those questions. It's just disgraceful.
These should have been in a standard print run product, period.
I can't recall off the top of my head turn for turn, but this win was on maybe turn 4 or 5 if I remember right. It was about as close to "god hand" as I could get since the vast majority of that board was out by turn 2, maybe 3. Ultimated Tezz and hit all three combo pieces in my top 10 (plus Sad Robot) for the win on the spot. Good Magics.
Conversely, what are some cards that have seen a rush in usage or popularity over the last few years that were either niche/borderline cards or just never saw play at all? Something like Rhystic Study was generally seen as a good card, but comparing its price increase over time it's definitely become more of an ever present thing, or Wayfarer's Bauble seems to have had at least some surge in popularity, Oubliette is another good example of a card that may have been kicked around as an underrated EDH card that suddenly went into high demand and sees way more play now, etc.
We get it, you have a hardon for Theros, move on.
Chandra's Spellbook seems fine.
Secret Lair Enemy Fetchlands on the otherhand, that's such a disgusting cashgrab move from WotC, but this is the WotC of the last couple years so I am not entirely surprised. At least they didn't completely bone LGSes on this one this time.
It doesn't specify non-token and tokens still die (and hit the yard) before ceasing to exist so you should be able to exile them and they just stop existing and you get a new token.
We get it, you like Theros, you don't have to tell us over and over.
Anyways, card feels like a really inelegant way to justify it as an enchantment because "Theros gotta do enchantments", but there's at least some upsides to doing it this way. It's not Yawgmoth's Will, but it's not bad.
Kinda part of my point.
