1) New plane
2) Idk. Someone said Ravnica. Could be, it's convincing. But i'm rolling eyes at the idea of Ravnica having cameras
3) Clearly Theros. Look at the hydra and the architecture in the background
4) Idk really. Could be Ixalan like someone said. Aclazotz is associated with bats like the one in the background. But he's not associated with dinosaurs so it's still weird to me. I hope it's a new plane
5) I'm guessing new plane? It doesn't fit anything we know
6) Lotr
7) Everyone is saying Old Rutstein but i'm not seeing it. Also Innistrad AGAIN? I think it's wild west plane
8) Eldraine
I didn’t “straw man” your argument, i just pointed out that it was a very vague definition of fantasy as being things that “aren’t real”.
Star wars has ton of "not real" things besides the force, like aliens, spaceships, lightsabers.
As Arthurian Camelot stories have too: they have dragons, magic, wizards and so on. While England is real, Camelot and Avalon are not.
So yeah sorry if i felt that you were not engaging me with intellectual honesty.
The Force isn't real, but England is, so by that definition Star Wars is more fantasy than Arthurian Camelot.
(aside: Star Wars actually is a fantasy narrative told with sci-fi tropes much more than an actual sci-fi story, but that's a discussion of storytelling)
To be clear, its just fine to not like the cards and choose not to put them in your decks. The issue comes with the pervasive attitude of "I don't like it, so you shouldn't be able to put it in your decks even though you do like it."
I'm just voicing my opinion about what fantasy is and isn't and why it feels a little reductive to me to answer the criticism with "magic always had robots and lasers so shut up".
Thank you for strawmanning my argument
<3 Finally! After so many years
Big fan of the space set. Still look like fantasy enough for me.
Not a fan of the "Fast&Furious", cars don't belong in fantasy imo.
Damn, how they massacred my techno-organical plane...
Damn i love it.
Thank you! I'm glad!
