Shingeki no Kyojin, Samurai Flamenco, and Kill la Kill

    +1

There are a few that I haven't gotten around to watching yet like Tamako Market, Uchouten Kazoku and Silver Spoon, but there seems to be a pretty solid consensus and I agree for once.

That being said, the last couple of seasons have been fantastic for the amount of high quality, entertaining shows. I'm legitimately watching 15 shows right now. 15!!

Because most of this collection was collected troguth unnusual means. If I was to put up that on MAL, then only the in disk titles would be legit. Long story short, most of those are original verisons with subs from sub teams.

I... don't really understand. I think you have some kind of misconception about what these services are. It's just like a list for you to keep track of which anime you've watched, are currently watching, have dropped, etc. It's the equivalent of writing the names of things like you did in your post earlier, just in a nicer format.

For example, here's my Hummingbird. You can keep track of which currently airing shows you're watching on CrunchyRoll, shows you watched on TV a long time ago, etc etc. There is nothing about owning DVDs or whatever it is you're thinking of.

I made the list of what I have as an anime on either my PC or in disks:

What should I add to that collection?

Why don't you put this into MyAnimeList, Hummingbird, or ANN?

@Mr. Stuff, if you're in Ohio and Cleveland is three hours away, we likely live close to each other unless you live in the boonies or something. Curious...

Gallipolis, just a stone's throw across the river from WV. An hour from Chillicothe and an hour from Huntington.

And yeah Mabber, if you've got any questions, just ask me. I lived there for two years. I know my way around Kyoto pretty fairly and I've traveled to Tokyo and Hiroshima.

According to the website, the nearest one to me is in Cleveland, which is three hours away, so that's a no-go on my end.

Meh, I'm contented with watching the new season at the moment, and I'm broke besides.

I have not made anything in a while so I decided to make a simple Izzet themed signature for myself... Tell me what you think?

"Happens" is capitalized when the rest of the sentence isn't.

The "stroke" around the letters is a little bit odd... it looks like it's been hit with a blur filter, or else cut out of something... it's not crisp for whatever reason.

The letter "I" in Izzet is translucent, allowing the guild symbol to show through. Opaque would be better.

And, as pointed out above, it would look better as a PNG transparency rather than just a solid white background.

Other than that, looks pretty decent.

Re-watching Jubei-chan now that Crunchyroll put it up. The scene where Yagyuu Jubei is describing the qualifications for the successor (A plump ... bouncy ... bon bons) still cracks me up.

Oh man. That show. Do you know if season 2 is any good? It's been on my backlog for like... years.

After finishing episode 3 was the first time i've ever said "**** this i'm done" to an anime.

And yet i'm still watching it...

And it will get even better... and you'll keep watching it. Thumbs Up

Another was one of the best things from last year. Last year had a lot of good shows though, so it was in good company (Sankarea, Tasogare X Amnesia, Tsuritama, etc).

I am disappointed in the lack of Magic: To Gather so far.

    LOL

This season has been pretty good in general so far. I'm pleased with a fair number of shows.

BTW, if anyone wants to follow, I just got hooked up with a Hummingbird account, and I'm going to try to keep it up to date as I watch this season.

Wishing Uchoten Kazoku 4 aired right now so I can watch it. This season has so many awesome characters (Hajime, Benten, and all that...)

I just got around to watching Uchoten Kazoku, and it's one of the best things going this season. If you haven't picked it up already, get on it. It's great.

I have to admit it also has something of a special place in my heart because of the setting. I lived in downtown Kyoto for 6 months, and it was one of the best times of my life... I got a little misty eyed seeing some of those places, for sure, especially the covered shopping district, one of which was right outside my apartment. Ah, memories...

Here's how to get from my former apartment to the shopping district in the show. You can use streetview to see both places. Smile

I also really like Silver Spoon. It reminds me of Moyashimon a lot, and , more importantly, it's something different in a world full of high school settings. I kinda have a thing for shows that teach me something new at the same time they entertain me (which is why I Love noitaminA).

Just watched Carnival Phantasm. I lol'd. Hard.

EDIT: I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching that OP... Saber <3

It's on my backlog; I'll get to it eventually. I am somewhat more inspired because it's the subject of the best clip from AMV Hell 6 (which did finally get released for realz, check it out if you haven't already guys).

Well, J-List has them all. A bit expensive (100$ for a blu-ray with 5 langages in both audio and subtitles, lots of extra contents, region free, 1920x1080 full HD remasterization, directly from Japan with no Disney logo on it, shipping included in the 100$), but they have pay pal.

    http://forum.dvdtalk.com/anime-talk/603851-1-only-studio-ghibli-blu-ray-thread.html

No Blu-ray releases in Japan at the moment...
    Ocean Waves (Special) (1993)
    Pom Poko (1994)
    Princess Mononoke (1997)
    Spirited Away (2001)
    The Cat Returns (2002)

I've been enjoying a lot of the Ghibli Blurays. Especially now that I have a new laptop that can handle 1080p. It really irks me that they're releasing things like "My Neighbors The Yamadas" before the major classics like Spirited Away and Mononoke, though. Oh well. Howl, Totoro and Kiki will tide me over.

I decided to watch the Chibi Vampire anime. Read the manga and I want to know what the anime looks like.

KAREN. Ugh. I can't stand the name "Chibi Vampire".

Anyway, it's great. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
