Actually, you are totally right! This is Miyajima, a small island near Hiroshima.
I live in Yonago, which is four hours by train from Hiroshima. Yesterday, I did this:
-Go to Hiroshima (7:30-11:00am)
-Witness Peace Memorial Park
-Enjoy the Hanakairo (Flower Festival) going on there
- Visit the Peace Museum... Just wow. Totally sobering stuff. Incredibly moving.
- Walk a few blocks and visit Hiroshima Castle
- Take the street car for an HOUR, and then the ferry to Miyajima island
-Take that picture with the giant Tori
-Take the street car for an HOUR back
-Go home (another four hours)
-Get home after midnight
That was quite a day, let me tell you.

Dec 10, 2008Mr. Stuff posted a message on First Blog...awww how cute!Hey, welcome to the forums. And yeah, don't let "Introduce Yourself" bother ya... Just, we've had some really, really weird **** go down in the past (*cough*TNeil*cough*) that is still in our collective memories, so to speak. I haven't read that thread yet, so I can only assume. I dig the pink hair, btw. My first thought when I saw you was "Ohayocon"... no offense, but you'd fit right in at a convention.Posted in: Daidream Blog
*Mr. Stuff is a big fan of anime and speaks of it at every given opportunity. Obviously.*
Once again, welcome. -
Mar 12, 2008Mr. Stuff posted a message on To quit or not to quitI have to agree largely with Hippy here. It's college. There will be "nerds" (and please don't take offense to the term, I'm one of the biggest nerds around and proud to say it). There will be Magic. They may not be the easiest to find, or they may already have a playgroup that plays on campus, but they will be there. You may not find them at first, but keep looking. The good thing about colleges is that most of them have lots of large open areas for people to just hang about. If you can find one person and just sit and play magic (preferably a few times a week) in some noticeable area on campus, people will ask you about it. Set up a regular time and tell them to come. This is how our playgroup got started at my college. There were three of us in the beginning, and it turned into around 15.Posted in: Psi's Blog

There are a few that I haven't gotten around to watching yet like Tamako Market, Uchouten Kazoku and Silver Spoon, but there seems to be a pretty solid consensus and I agree for once.
That being said, the last couple of seasons have been fantastic for the amount of high quality, entertaining shows. I'm legitimately watching 15 shows right now. 15!!
I... don't really understand. I think you have some kind of misconception about what these services are. It's just like a list for you to keep track of which anime you've watched, are currently watching, have dropped, etc. It's the equivalent of writing the names of things like you did in your post earlier, just in a nicer format.
For example, here's my Hummingbird. You can keep track of which currently airing shows you're watching on CrunchyRoll, shows you watched on TV a long time ago, etc etc. There is nothing about owning DVDs or whatever it is you're thinking of.
Why don't you put this into MyAnimeList, Hummingbird, or ANN?
Gallipolis, just a stone's throw across the river from WV. An hour from Chillicothe and an hour from Huntington.
And yeah Mabber, if you've got any questions, just ask me. I lived there for two years. I know my way around Kyoto pretty fairly and I've traveled to Tokyo and Hiroshima.
Meh, I'm contented with watching the new season at the moment, and I'm broke besides.
"Happens" is capitalized when the rest of the sentence isn't.
The "stroke" around the letters is a little bit odd... it looks like it's been hit with a blur filter, or else cut out of something... it's not crisp for whatever reason.
The letter "I" in Izzet is translucent, allowing the guild symbol to show through. Opaque would be better.
And, as pointed out above, it would look better as a PNG transparency rather than just a solid white background.
Other than that, looks pretty decent.
Oh man. That show. Do you know if season 2 is any good? It's been on my backlog for like... years.
And it will get even better... and you'll keep watching it.
Another was one of the best things from last year. Last year had a lot of good shows though, so it was in good company (Sankarea, Tasogare X Amnesia, Tsuritama, etc).
LOL
This season has been pretty good in general so far. I'm pleased with a fair number of shows.
BTW, if anyone wants to follow, I just got hooked up with a Hummingbird account, and I'm going to try to keep it up to date as I watch this season.

I just got around to watching Uchoten Kazoku, and it's one of the best things going this season. If you haven't picked it up already, get on it. It's great.
I have to admit it also has something of a special place in my heart because of the setting. I lived in downtown Kyoto for 6 months, and it was one of the best times of my life... I got a little misty eyed seeing some of those places, for sure, especially the covered shopping district, one of which was right outside my apartment. Ah, memories...
Here's how to get from my former apartment to the shopping district in the show. You can use streetview to see both places.
I also really like Silver Spoon. It reminds me of Moyashimon a lot, and , more importantly, it's something different in a world full of high school settings. I kinda have a thing for shows that teach me something new at the same time they entertain me (which is why I noitaminA).
It's on my backlog; I'll get to it eventually. I am somewhat more inspired because it's the subject of the best clip from AMV Hell 6 (which did finally get released for realz, check it out if you haven't already guys).
I sure as hell will now.

KAREN. Ugh. I can't stand the name "Chibi Vampire".
Anyway, it's great. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
