my_neverender posted a message on Has the general consensus on land destruction changed due to the influx of mass ramp?A couple of months ago, my playgroup consisted of decks that mostly included green for the ridiculous ramp with the main goal of comboing out. LD was frowned upon in our group. A couple of months playing like that really got to me.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
At that time, I was playing a Ghave combo deck. One day, I just woke up and came up with an epiphany for an EDH deck: Karador LD. It's basically a Karador deck that doesn't revolve around using the general. It has tons of land and creature sweepers and efficient creatures and spot removal to answer creature loops and fat dudes.
Now, the playgroup has shifted to a healthier meta since LD was welcomed. Red started emerging again and spell-based ramp was dropped in favor of mana rocks.
LD is a necessary evil. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Paradise Mantle. Should have seen that 0 mana-thing the other ones had in common.
