I am unable to install the software because it says I'm missing Microsoft Office Web Components v 11. I'm running Windows 10 and have Office 2016 installed. The link you give to download the OWC no longer works and I can't find it anywhere online; it appears as if they have been discontinued. It says in your post that they are optional, but the software won't install without them, so they really aren't. Can you either update the software/installer so that it will install without OWC or tell me where I can get OWC? Much appreciated.

This particular patch was only ever intended to have the new cards from C17. I didn't see a point in adding a bunch of cards that are already in the database (several times in some cases); sorry.

    Hello all,

I went ahead and converted the Cockatrice XML file for Commander 2017 into a text spoiler for MWS and fixed the one typo I found (there might be more). I also saved pics from the mothership visual spoiler and converted them to jpgs (they're still LQ). You can find the text spoiler as well as a zip file containing the pics on my github page here:
    https://github.com/ajriddle/Magic-Files

    Enjoy!

After you add the set you have to "Save Deck/Library" and then restart MWS before you add any cards to decks. You might need to remove it and then import it again if it's messed up, not sure.

Also of note, there are slightly higher quality pics on magiccards.info now.

Click on HOU.txt, then click on the 'Raw' button. That will open the raw text file in the your browser. You can then right click and 'Save Page As...' to save it as a text file on your computer. The picture zip file actually has a download button when you click on it.

Download the the text file and import it into MWS like any other set using the Analyze/Add/Remove Sets... option under tools. The pictures just need to be unzipped and moved to wherever you keep your MWS pics.

You can find a text spoiler as well as pictures pulled from Mythic Spoiler on my GitHub repo here: https://github.com/ajriddle/Magic-Files. A few notes about the files:
-Aftermath cards are named like Struggle/Survive in the spoiler and like StruggleSurvive.full.jpg in the pics folder. The card types and mana costs are written the same way as the names in the spoiler.
-The text on the aftermath cards are formatted like
"Return target creature card with converted mana cost 2 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield. ---Aftermath #(Cast this spell only from your graveyard. Then exile it.)# Target creature gets +2/+0 and gains haste until end of turn."
-The Rarity, Artist, and Flavor Text fields are missing (or blank)
-The Card # field does not match the actual card number from the set, it's just the order the cards were in on the Cockatrice xml spoiler.
-There is only one of each basic in the spoiler and the pics (the full art).
-Some of the text in the spoiler runs together where there should be a new line. I tried to fix some of it, but no guarantees. You won't notice it as much if you use the pics.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments. Enjoy.

Here is a patch I made from the cocatrice XML file. I tried to fix any typos I saw and added % cards to the mana costs and stuff, but no guarantees. The energy symbol is also just represented with 'E' and I didn't bother with the rarity, artist, or flavor text fields.

  • posted a message on [DKA] Dark Ascension Patch for Magic Workstation (158/158)
For ISD the double faced cards used the naming convention DaybreakRangerNightfallPredator. The DFC in the DKA patch don't use this convention; they just use the "day" name of the card. Why are there two naming conventions? Also, would it be possible for anyone doing the pictures to combine the DFC pics like a split card (see attachment)? I would greatly appreciate it if someone could make a patch with the ISD naming convention for DFC.

    Thanks!

True Conviction could be good in a deck like this. Also, I would use Mana-Charged Dragon just for the fun of seeing people gain up on whoever you are attacking.
