problems with collectors????? haves and the have nots. you been buying cards sinces the beginner and just started. sure reprint ever magic card, so everything is cheap so everyone will have the same cards.
please i don't hear anything crying if they pull a card from a pack 10 years ago and now its worth $100. magic is a game that over time has increase in value due to the fact that it is a collectable. it increase in value because of rare system, limited printing.
everyone wants the cheapest best thing. no such thing. you get what you pay for.
It depends on the person. Few would pay more, many will pay less. I personally don't care for signed cards or would ever want one. Its worth nothing to me. There is no way to tell if the real artist signed it. It may as well be a smiley face drawn by the artist. There is no way to tell if its real. Its just a defaced card.
I would have just interrupted and offer the guy more for the moat. Just say. I don't have 20 of what he his offering. Want to check out my trade binder? I think the stranger would have gotten the clue and kill the trade. That rip off artist exposed.
Even what a good scan. Its hard to tell the condition. Everyone has different ways to determine the condition. Most people overrates. As a collector, I will look for the best condition possible. However I will buy lesser if the price is right. I like to look at the card to determine condition. No really possible om the Internet. I find the whole played or slightly play is missleading. A card can but perfectly mint even played if it was sleeved and shuffled very carefully. You can play a card once without sleeves on a dirty table and call it doughty played. The only sure way to determine condition are graded cards. If you planned to "invest" you should just buy as many as possible. Set a minimum condition for yourself and find the best deal. Remember to spend some money in sleeves and toploaders to protect your investment.
Ultra pro sleeve and a top loader in a1600 count box. I put all money cards in them. Anything.from my black lotus to lord of Atlantis. Some of my cards have been in them for 15+ years. They still look the same as the day in put them in. I can not say the same for binders and pages. I had everything stored inside my closet which I did not touch for 10 years. A lot of warping from the binders and page. Its a good thing I only had junk tares in them.
whats wrong with those cardboard boxes? They been around for standard for storing cards for decades. I have some that are over 20 years old. They work just fine.
