I think Kennen is a better choice, but only because he is slightly more versatile. Gragas is pretty much an AP mid champ, who could MAYBE go top. Kennen is solid mid, top, or as an ad carry. I have both though, and they're both a ton of fun to play.

I personally don't like AD Kog just because he is too squishy. But I've always enjoyed On-Hit Kog because he get's really tanky by the late game for the amount of damage he puts out. But yeah you need to have another AD champ even when playing him as AD due to the amount of magic damage he does just naturally.

AD Kog being squishy isn't a problem if your team can keep people off of you, but that's getting harder and harder now, since EVERYONE seems to have a gap closer.

You know what drives me nuts, besides the map awareness issue? People making bad item choices. The best example I can give of this was the last game I was in, where our top lane Fiora and Shyvana didn't have boots by the 20 minute mark, but one had Phage and the other had Wriggles. Fiora I can kinda understand, because he's a new player, but Shyv was level 30. Then, they kept complaining about how they couldn't get away from Olaf.

However, I must say, I played six or seven games tonight, and I haven't had one rager yet. Even the games where my team just dominated, we haven't had anyone rage...it's been a nice change of pace from the usual community I see.

Anyway, I was wondering how you all felt about building Kog'Maw. I recently picked him up and I like him a lot, I've been experimenting with builds and so far I've done really well with On-Hit and AP, but I'd like to hear what you all think is the most optimal way to build him.

As for Kog, he's one of my fav. champs. I usually play him straight AD, personally, as I think it's the best way to really abuse his range. Still, if your team knows that you're not building him AD, On-hit Kog is a solid choice too...just make sure your team knows, so they can make sure you have another strong physical damage dealer, like Trynd/Fiora/Olaf.

Is anybody else having issues with their latency jumping up randomly during games? My first thought was that it was my net, but my speedtest results are all good, and it's not a constant thing, just a random jump. Unfortunately, it does it often enough that I don't feel comfortable playing ranked, as I don't want a minute or two of lag to cost me a close game. Does anyone know what the cause of this might be? I know Riot has been having issues with it, but I can't get an answer on their support forum, so I thought maybe someone here would have an idea...

I had a game yesterday where I was forced to mid as Graves against a Teemo, while our Orianna went bot and our Lux went top. Thankfully, the Teemo wasn't very good, as I managed to get first blood on him at level 3, then kill him twice more before level six. Finished the game something like 15/1/4, even after our Orianna D/C'd. Fed Graves is pretty scary.

Had a second game where I was Morgana mid, playing with a guy from my LGS, who was jungling Udyr. We started off by taking their Rammus's blue for Udyr, who then fed me our blue. I wrecked Heimer, and we snowballed to a surrender at the 20 minute mark.

It's nice to have a competent team now and then. Of course, the LoL god's had to knock me back down to Earth after that, by teaming me with non-English speakers the next several games...but overall, very good day playing yesterday.

I played in that game as well, as the Jungle Cho. Decided I can't use Cho as a jungler until Riot fixes the lag on their servers, because it's next to impossible to land a q with these random lag spikes.

That Vayne was a friend of mine. She's a really solid player...you should see her Urgot, it's terrifying.

I play my Udyr jungle as Phoenix stance. Faster clear time than Tiger, and a bit safer generally, since you'll take less damage. I usually start Wolves, blue, (check for a gank at level 2, before skilling), Wraiths, golems, red, wraiths, gank, shop. Build is usually start cloth and 5 pots, merc's, wriggles, wit's end, Frozen Mallet, situational gear. My skill order is r-w(or e, if you've got a good gank opportunity at level 2)-r-e-r-w. Priorities are r-w-e-q. If you'd prefer, the best Udyr guide I've found so far is http://www.leaguecraft.com/strategies/guide/18115-comprehensive-udyr-guide-quot-the-most-flexible-and-versatile-quot.xhtml, it really covers pretty much every aspect of his game. Hope that helps!

Also, on a related note...how should I jungle Cho? I've been starting cloth 5 with him, but the more I think about it, the more I wonder if I shouldn't try the philosopher's stone start. What do you guys think?

I suppose I should probably post on here as well. My username is divineravnos, and I accept pretty much all invites. I'm level 30, but I haven't started playing ranked yet, mostly just goof around w/ friends. I do have a pretty decent selection of champs though, and I can play any role needed, though I prefer mid/top/jungle.

I played the crap out of Raw Deal when it was still around, and I even keep up with some of the community off and on now. I know they're still releasing "virtual" sets for it. I also play MLB Showdown, even now, since I have been able to find a couple boxes of it relatively cheap online.

Hey, I finally took the jump and decided to register here. I've been lurking these forums for a good year and a half or so now, and I really like the community that's been built. I'm also looking forward to getting involved in that community. Grin
