They both seem fairly weak for Vanguard, but they should both make good-looking Avatars. Why no Timeshifted avatar, though? They should have given us three this time.
Snapback makes suspend creatures even more worthless than they already were. I really like the concept of suspend as a mechanic, but it just loses to so many things that it's utterly worthless.
Until we start seeing spells that have an effect when you suspend them or some suspend spells with split second, I won't be building suspend.dec.
I really like the madness cards in the set so far. I'm also highly encouraged by some of the mono-green stuff we're seeing.
Should be the best of the Magus cycle, assuming that Magus of the Scroll is a 1/1. Still dies to Char, but at least it's a Char that won't be aimed at your head.
Once again, green gets the shaft in a five-color cycle. Unless it's a 2/1 for 1 or something.
More token art? So they weren't kidding when they said that Time Spiral has a heavy token sub-theme. Looks like all the colors are getting in on the fun. Black has Thrulls, Green has Saprolings, Red has Goblins, Blue has Homarids, and white has... what, Rebels? Soldiers?
Between all these token creatures and suspend counters, it might be time to invest in some nice glass beads, or something.
I bet you MaRo's Monday article is titled "Purple Reign". He does love his silly puns.
I believe the Purple symbol, because it's been rumored for AGES that if they ever added another color to the game it would be purple. They are really pushing the time/nostalgia theme and I think this fits beautifully.
I agree that the Urza lands should not be in 10th. They've had their time in the sun. I'd like to see some different non-basic lands in there (Quicksand was a nice surprise in 9th).
All of the people who are voting for the Ancient based on their casual games and "coolness" factor upset me. Crucible is such a fantastic, elegant card; it's far and away the best of the "You Make The Card" crowd (the most recent one from Coldsnap is horrible). It belongs in the core set because it's simple and illustrates some important points for new players (as pointed out in previous posts).
Ancient vs. Crucible - I think this is a real Johnny vs. Timmy vote. I'm a Johnny at heart, so Crucible gets my vote.
Time Stop vs. Spelljack - I think Time Stop has a better mana cost. I'm not thrilled with either of these cards, to be honest. Time Stop gets the vote.
He should have been a 2/3 for 4, and made you tap four snow permanants to activate. Then he might have been interesting as a powered-down Tradewind Rider.
With Incinerate coming back, this card is useless.
Nice art. I think Simic has some amazing flavor. They did a real good job keeping the guilds with the best flavor for the smaller sets. The first four can't match the last six in that respect, but they didn't need to because the whole guild concept was new and exciting.
It was a pretty obvious pun. But hey, thanks for remembering.
This will be the most insane five-color environment ever. With all of these multi-lands from 9th and RAV, you add even more multilands? Brilliant.

I have the think this will be just a combination of the two cards. It'll be an 0/1 flier for that pumps for G and can sac to deal 2 damage for 3G.
As for Daru Sanctifier, are there any regular reprints in TS? Maybe it's a part of the main set as a good-ol' fashioned, non-purple reprint?
I'm going to have a lot of fun saying "Cancel that!" and making silly puns.

Dryad Sophisticate is pretty funny flavor. It sticks to the hot spots in Ravnica. What's next, Goblin Metrosexual?
