T: Add X or Y
T, sac: draw a card. Activate this ability only if you control 5 or more lands OR activate this ability only if you are devoted to both X and Y
Interesting. I agree devotion might come into play here:
Horizon Canopy Theros version
Land T, Pay 1 life: Add X or Y to your mana pool. T, Sacrifice Horizon Canopy Theros version: Draw a card. Activate this ability only if you are devoted to X and Y.
My only problem with this card is that it does not make it more difficult to access 3+ colors so there must be some other restriction.
Here's a similar deck I've been having a blast with. Probably not tier 1 but fun anyway. I've been using the counters theme as well. That's why I prefer Increasing Savagery over Revenge of the Hunted.
The point of the card is that you should be happy regardless of which of the three you end up with. It rewards decks for not running straight 4 of everything and diversifying.
This is only partially true. In order to diversify you need a variety a quality (standard competitive) creatures at various CMC. I guess that will be the test. Are there enough standard competitive diverse creatures to make this worthwhile in gruul or RGx aggro?
Unfortunately, you can't run a toolbox approach with this card because you would need 3 targets with different names that essentially do the same thing (ex. acidic slime, acidic slime wannabe#1, acidic slime wannabe#2).

Ummm, that's what he said. Please re-read his post.
He is asking if anything is faster (i.e. turn 6).
I'm still debating Witchstalker in the main-60. I also worry about running out of gas so I'm thinking either Garruk, Caller of Beasts or Garruk, Primal Hunter to replace direct damage Garruk...maybe Tracker's Instincts instead?
I'm also wondering if Elvish Mystic is not aggressive enough and should be Gladecover Scout. But I love being able to get Kalonian Hydra out on turn 4.

Here is the under development competetive topic:

That joke tells itself.
The card is great, the art is what it is. Get over yourself Ryandoeshimself...
