How can people not seem to wrap their minds around the fact that boosters are random? They're not going to put "special boosters" in products. Just because you're unlucky doesn't mean everyone else will be unlucky when they open it. Some people will have amazing pulls while most people will get mediocre to terrible pulls because that's what you get when you guy sealed product.
Do you think this makes the full set of 4 for $80 worthwhile? It is somewhat easy to find the sets of all 4 sets for $80 still, or much cheaper on Ebay even.
I hate to say it but you can't get the Ninja deck on Ebay for less than $30 shipped. You should probably look before posting. Yeah you can get a set of all four Planechase decks for $80, but you can't get 4 Ninja's for $80.
So what's the best way to sell these off? I have four unopened Ninja decks that I paid around $20 each for. I want to sell 4 of the Strix off and keep the Ink-Eyes and Sakashima's students. Should I wait for a little bit to sell these? I don't really see the Strix being reprinted anytime soon.
I think the problem is the really young kids that come to pre-releases and hang around stores. If you don't like kids, their unbridled enthusiasm and loud high-pitched voices can grate on your nerves. I actually prefer kids to the Magic elitist fat-neckbeard types who are just jerks.
I think the fact that both RTR and Gatecrash are both big sets which will be drafted the same amount means that the Shocks if reprinted should all have more or less the same value since supply will be the same. The only thing that will vary price should be how much they're used in standard and modern.
If it works like D12 did, you get the code link after the game unlocks and after you've played your first game (I think). You get the code in game, anyway. (Or at least the game links to a wizards.com webpage which has the code)
Ok. So nobody can has actually been able to redeem it yet?
Not a chance at uncommon. They would be far too easy to get ahold of at uncommon so you would need to open vastly fewer packs to get then.
